i envy the start stop button system on a 2011 fiesta, we only have that option in 2013 facelift type in Indonesia.. and the oil is cheap too.. motul specific here cost $35-40 for 4 liters..

I usually put a piece of cardboard or something underneath the pan so it's easy to pull out from the car when I'm done

Since the oil filter sits so high, change out the filter first. Place the drain pan under it of course. Then once you have the new filter on, work back to the drain plug and drain the oil out. Found it to be easier this way and saves time.

do you need a tool to screw or unscrew the oil filter instead of hand? thank you

If you can’t unscrew it by hand you can purchase oil filter pliers to help loosen and get it off. When screw on the new oil filter you always want to go hand tight no need to use tools to tighten it.
