love it,Marty you should be in a band knocking out songs and pulling in the millions ,But instead you're here teaching people like me,cool riffs,I suppose I should be grateful for that...
it's A Dorian which is the exact same notes as the G Major scale. also mixed with straight A minor pentatonic scale. hope that helped and thx for watching!!!
thanks a lot, man!!! you´re the guitar instructor i needed but never could afford. if i ever have the money, i gonna buy your dvd collection, promise. greetings from leipzig, germany!
you've been awesome since i started watching your vids....& i've been watchin' fer years! but it seems like your playing is getting better all the time.... quite inspiring
cheers for the tips and lessons bro, dave on the west coast of scotland........showing your vids to my kids simple and straightforward.....thanks marty keep on rockin in the free world
Exactly! There are a few other ways to get major and minor tonality into one single progression but it may be a little too deep to go into on here. Look it up if you are interested.
Marty been watching your vids for about a year now....learned the pentatonics, thank you. Learned some licks, thank you. Got an idea on how power chords work...thanks! Question, tho. I notice you use a looping device. Here's what I have, a Fender Strat with a Fender combo amp and also a Epi Les Paul with a Line 6 combo....what is a good Loop pedal that would work for either or both of this combinations, that I may switch from one set to another?
Thanks Marty, this lesson was more of what I was looking for. HA HA not that I can play that fast. I'll go slow and get faster a little at a time, can't just go running with the big dog all at once.
Great Stuff as always! I world really like to have that as a jam track!! Am I the only one from martys guitar club, who are hoping for some great DVD lessons anytime soon? :)
Anyone know how the steps up the neck for the bends are worked out? 3:54 Is Marty using major and minor pentatonic patterns? Please help, I need to know!
You went off beat on ur solo and I bet u been playing for along time . 😊 4 years so far and I can do the things you can and idk I think maybe better . But you're awesome and keep on keeping on
Is this like a fancy mode or something? Because like, some of those notes aren't in the scale. It sounds cool but like, I wanna be able to incorporate this into other keys and whatnot. I think that's like the E min scale being played over the key of A min. What does it all mean? =/

Love it when Tony Iommi hits those kinds of bends during the solo's to N.I.B. and Sabbath etc etc. Really sets the mood a lot of the time.
