need ur help understanding all these famous riffs, how to... got me Jackson guitar with Floyd Rose... need some help, last time I played was 1983...!
Check out the website.
Jimi Hendrix is my favourite guitarist. One of the reasons Jimi was so great was that he played in a very free way. I'm guessing he played all the time attempting to constantly search for new ideas and he got so good at this that he could stray from reliable patterns even when performing on stage. You have to learn the scale shapes and you have to start copying licks etc. but you should take risks to try to find new ideas as you play. Try to aim to not just string licks together. Try to break everything down to the smallest components you can deal with. This will cause you to make constant mistakes but it will push your mind harder. Aim to think of one note at a time as a a kind of unreachable ideal even although no guitarist ever achieves that. You have to fall back to known licks and muscle memory most of the time.
2nd time in a month you've helped me to see something that's been under my fingers all this time. I never pictured that Dminor shape (11th fret/3rd string) up from the Bminor chord you were playing at the 7th fret/6th string. And all I woulda had to do was picture the chord rooted off the octave of that low B at the 6th that's on the 4th string. Duh! Just never pictured it that way.
I know I didn't know that for forever either! It's the little things! Check out the playlist on my channel hit the right notes every time for more tips like that. The courses on my site go deep with that sort of thing. Thanks for watching!

Another stellar video my man. You sound just like him! Love it! I always learn so much from you.
Thanks so much!
Geez those 2 10th fret bends (high e, and b) to the next string down blew my ass off!! I am trying to incorporate those in my playing, but I oftentimes just get an unimpressive and mood killing thud
Hahah! You will get it!

Great lessons! I really appreciate your work. One of my best on youtube. Can you please do more melodic playing based lessons? Not only lessons based on playing over chord changes but also useful licks so that we can use in our solos and keep them in our vocabulary.:) Greetings from Turkey!
Check out some of the playlists on my channel there are tons of videos there. Also feel free to check out my website as well! Thanks for watching!
Entree noodle - 0:35 Boom.
Thanks so much for this, I sometimes get discouraged and then stuck in a rut, this brings me out of those doldrums. Dull drums? Boring bongos? Been with u since your 101 licks dvds.

Why thank you sir! Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Hey Brett, can you recommend somewhere to get pickups at a decent price.
Not sure on that one. Sometimes with things like that you get what you pay for. I'm a Lollar nut! Best pickups in my opinion. However I have gotten great results with Dimarzio pickups and they are not too expensive. Just go to Guitar Center or Sweetwater if you don't have a good local shop. Lollars you will have to buy direct.
This is all gold. Great stuff man!!!

Hard-Rockified Hendrix licks. What more could you ask for?
Haha! I think it's my favorite!
Me too. And that tone!!! So Mr Papa, how do we get to hear you actually play this sort of stuff with a band? I've searched the net but found nothing.
Where did you get your Strat?
It is a Nash guitars 63 Stratocaster in shell pink. He has some boutique pickup in the bridge, Lollar maybe??
Ryan Coombs thank you!!!
Local music shop. It is a Nash 60's start with Lollar pickups. You they have a dealers list on their site. I know Chicago Music Exchange always has a good selection of them.
