Marty, I've been playing guitar for over 50 years and study with Martin Taylor, Adam Rafferty, Pete Huttlinger and others. I have to say, your videos are a huge asset to guitar players of all levels. What I like most, is that you show how much fun the guitar can be and you really seem to have a passion for the instrument and for teaching others. Keep it up, man!
today is sunday, i used to watch my sport program on tv sincer years, and nothing could made me miss it... but your lessons brock all my habits.. i am spending more time on learning guitar then watching tv ( i watch only the news not more ) thanks for beeing here my freind.
Unbelievable stuff. I just finished learning the e blues scales in the 6 positions down the neck and here you go bringing it all together so it becomes useable. You are a dammned blues alchemist. Thank you for the lesson. I will buy your next DVD and urge everyone who gets so much from these lessons to give something back as well. Thanks again.
Thanks Marty! You are the best teacher I have ever had as well. I am sure you get that all the time but you have made it a lot easier to learn. Seriously wish I would have found you a year ago when I started...Thanks again for all the great videos!!!
I just got back into the guitar after a 6 year hiatus post high school. And i was finding it hard to re-learn or get inspired with my old melodic classic runs, but this totally got me refreshed and into it. Still way rusty but i just love the soul in the sound of this run, thank you man.
Marty, You are doing God's work my man! Thank you so much. I have learned more from you in the past couple of days than I have in years of fumbling around on my own. You are an excellent teacher! Keep it up!
Ive always been iffy about learning scales but you show us how simple it really is an make it easy to follow along others sit there An talk for 6 minutes before they start i like how you just get straight to it
I've been learning from you for years now and you never get boring or over do it with the intros there are some guys on you tube that spend 10 mins introducing what they are going to do lol its just so dam boring.. you're great!!! You always make it fun n interesting and funny too. If only school teachers made music fun.. Thanks!!
Been playing this scale for a couple of days now and your video's motivated me to learn more as I feel comfortable with this one, Endless Licks and great vid.
Thanks, Marty. There are lots of good lessons online but things like this lesson are outstanding. It's really fun to even practice these scales. HB Melbourne

there are lots of guitar player egotists on yt. they aren't great as they think they are. I mean, they never heard B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, J. Page, Wes Montgomery, or any of the great pros? stay humble. be real. but Marty, you can play a lot of styles well, and your lessons are good and easy to follow. I never heard you brag about how great you are, or how much you know. thx for a bunch of excellent free lessons. this is a great lesson on the E blues scale. stay cool and peace out. Mik

The unstoppable Blues freight train that is Marty Schwartz still smashing great lessons out. Love this guy and totally appreciate these lessons. even going back to these basic lessons teaches me little tricks each time, thanks!!
Brahda! I have looked at other videos and they don't compare to the quality and sheer ability to relate to the beginner. I truly appreciate all your videos and all the positive feedback you get. If it weren't for you, I don't think I'd be playing.
Awesome, absolutely awesome I played that 'Hendrix' chord you said for a split second, looked kinda like a triad, then my hands just exploded into this cool amazing blues improv. Favorite lesson ever, I must've been sat for about an hour just improvising around that one chord, favorite chord ever :)
This guy is awesome. I like the way he breaks it down in this sample video. I will most lilkely order a DVD but I feel I have gained so much from this sample. Thanks Marty.
You are an excellent teacher. I like the way you break it down. I have to agree with Memphis Gage on his sentiments about your teaching style. Again, thank you!
