Best rigging vid I've seen in a while. My Reload is rigged very much the same minus the transducer and front rod tubes. Love the orange chummer on the anchor line. You should do a video on that with a GoPro mounted on it haha
Nice set up and video. I also have the Pro Fish 400 with Garmin Echo and managed to get the transducer to fit in the hole in the hull. You need to shave the transducer a little bit which people may not be keen on but it works fine.
Awesome video Hamish, thanks for the detail you put in. Great tip on side mounted rod holders will defo copy that. Just deciding on 400 or Reload think you swung it for me! Liked and subscribed nice one bro!!
Thanks Hamish, regarding your back Starports you installed for your angled rod holders , how did you get a washer , nut under the top skin , the only opening I can see is the storage hole , Cheers Brent 1:57
Mean as set man, I have just pick up a pro fish 400 bixpy setup with a HOOK2 4x but am thinking of upgrading to a Dragonfly 5 PRO CHIRP GPS/Fishfinder, since the transducer is to big for under the hull im jst wondering if ya have any probs with your transducer inside the hull and do you leave in the yak when transporting ?
When my transducer was in hull I had it cylliconed in the bottom so never moved worked well, rule of thumb Is you lose about 15 percent of accuracy in hull mounted also water temp takes about an hour to read right. I had no issues mate loved it to be honest
Hi mate, how you used to carry the c tug while fishing? I know you have a a reload now and can easily carry the entire c tug in front hatch. I have got a Mission Catch 420 which only has got two 10 inches hatch so can't fit those wheel in it. Also where did you get those tube for rod tip and how did you attach on kayak? Thanks.
I cant wait till i can afford to upgrade my kayak. Also i got told berley is bad on the yak because of sharks hanging around? Im new to yak fishing so keen to learn to dos and donts
Sharks are worse on bait in winter months but in summer nothing wrong with bait fishing and burley, its really the smell and mess that it makes is the issue on the yakk mate. What you getting for your upgrade??
Pretty much. The reload has bit more storage a d designed to go up over waves. The 400 you plan for what dishing toy are doing and take what you need and it punches through the waves. Bit of a wet ride in surf but thatsbpart of paddling in waves lol
Great setup mate. Some really good ideas! Good work
Hope you.got some new ideas of what can be done on this great fishing platform.
Love this setup! Gets me fizzing to hit the yak on the weekend! Yeah Boi!
Works well that set up mate

Thanks man I have recently just upgraded to the road and I have made the set up the same as my 400. Works soo well

Hi Hamish it’s Leah here I did the fumes up
Thanks for the great video. I'm trying to decide whether I buy Ocean Kayak Triden 13 or Viking profish 400. Florida USA
Both good yakks. The tackle pod and the chill bag or pod in the back really make the viking kayak different from the rest
Nice set up
Thank you
Awesome set up! I wish I could afford one too. i subscribed to your channel bro. Peace out!
Thanks man

I love it my friend nice videos and I love you kayak! God bless you always 🙋🏻♀️🎣🙏🏻🙊🤝 new subscriber here lady subscriber
kayak fishing looks like it is very sophisticated 🤔
Can be but very rewarding when you catch on one. Great way to sneak up on the fish too
@@hamandtysfishingadventures9685
yeah, I get overwhelmed a lot of times lifting fish onto the kayak 😅
I think I was wrong when I set up kayak fishing
Good..is the best
Hey there , do the rod tubs up front just sit under the elastic or are they secure mounted , thanks for your help cheers Brent
You attach sinker to bottom and rig above mate

I never took the c tug out with me, I used to walk it back to the ute. That the biggest difference between the 400 and the reload is the storage....
@@hamandtysfishingadventures9685 Thanks mate - much appreciated.
Nice 👍👍👍

@@hamandtysfishingadventures9685 ive got an ocean kayak prowler 13. But i want one like what yours with the reload
Viking. I have the 400 mate. The reload is 400mm longer
@@hamandtysfishingadventures9685 oh true. Is that the only difference

Hey mate awesome setup for the 400. Can I ask how easy was it to install the extra rod holders to the left and right of the seat?
Eady mate just make sure you teach through the center hatch and put washers and nuts on as screws
Pull out.
Nice like it..
Mean set up. Just bought a Viking GT. What rod and reel combo’s you use and recommend bro?
I love the shimano ocean rose rod with the bait runner 8000
