I think the thing I appreciate most about this compilation is that we actually get their gameply. The other comps, while a testament to this LP, only cover the glory the single greatest character in SBFP history. So it's easy to forget that *GRAND WIZARD WAKA* was, in fact, in a video game. With monsters, and puzzles.
from the ever increasing distance i look back at Final Fantasy X; Aspects of it continue to increase in depths of their insanity and the starkness of enigmatic reasoning that brought them into being, Yet, simultaneously, aspects of it also deepen in their profound sagacity and grow stronger in brilliance. 46:34 for example: this part of relationship building that matt is attempting to lampoon is a strong moment but not because it is tone deaf or nonsensical, it is in fact a brilliant moment between these two characters whose context requires a social mental age that might still be beyond matt today. It would totally appear bizarre and cryptic to someone who can't relate with the situation of 2 people who like each other and want to get to know each other better but they are still at a stage of formality where they have to have good pretenses to be in each others company and they are both struggling to concoct one and they both realize it at the same time. it's a significant moment.
I like to think that Rikku isn't actually stealing grenades from them, just some vital component for them that she needs to make them. The other stuff like, 'Dragon Fang' and what not make more sense.
@@nananamamana3591 after seeing what happens to Home, Rikku'd probably be like "i refuse to make anything that causes *that* big an explosion. Ever." And then FFX-2 happens and at the end of it she's thinking to herself "...really regretting not making bigger bombs now..."
All I'm saying brudda is that da math seems a little off, like, six million? Zanakand didn't even have a population that large! How can dey lose three times da population of da most populated nation in da world at da time, and still be around, brudda? I just play the blitzball, brudda, I'm no mathematician, but maybe *YOU* could do the math, brudda... for your own sake, brudda.
I know Blitzball was very flawed and repetitive. But somehow, it was also super awesome and I spent a lot of hours building a monster team. I regret nothing. 😂
10:18 😂 I don't know why matt has s haye bomer fir crash. But other crash ganes were comming out post CTR they're just weird sonic style ganeplay shifts grom gane to game
Matt is pretty good at researching topics. He, genuinely, has a great mind for trivia and his passions are really earnest and he actually tends to invest himself in things. It makes him a great counter to Pat, who literally could not give less of a shit if he's *ACTUALLY* right or wrong, or what he's doing is *ACTUALLY* progressing the game, or if what he's doing is *ACTUALLY* entertaining. Pat will adamantly do things his way, as long as he thinks he's right, and never ever back down from that even if he is DEMONSTRABLY wrong and has been infuriatingly toxic about it. But the things Matt finds funny are things he will try to push and push and push until its tired. Like, he has some gems here. The FIRST joke he makes about Lulu's tits, where woolie's like "Oh do we get out slowpan shot?" and Matt PASSIONATELY goes "NO! No, you gotta save them for the super bowl." or whatever? That was dynamite. "Waka why does your job say 'grand wizard'?" is ICONIC. But if I got a nickle for every lulu titty joke, or tidus being hungry joke that didn't land I'd be in a totally different tax bracket by now and we're not even half way through the LP
I've just fully realized. Every single one of the boys' spinoff channels is complete dross. The only thing woolies channel had at the beginning was DMC5 play through with pat. Rest was shit.
Ehhh it depends for Woolie. His Disco Elysium LP is also great, but that's more because Reggie as his Co-Host and the nature of the game lends itself well to really funny moments. I'd also say his LP of the Naruto games are alright, again, Reggie as a cohost adds a lot. Ive been watching him play Elden Ring and laughing as Reggie totally has the right idea and Wooly, because he's just fundamentally bad at these games, gets bodied over and over again. Matt's "What Happened" series is also alright. I think they're fairly informative but I imagine they'd be a lot better if he didn't make them so short. He tries to keep them under 30mins but those style of analytical analysis REALLY shine as longform breakdowns. Pat's channel has always been shit and that's because Pat is a cantankerous contrarian who will, predictably, on *REFLEX* do the OPPOSITE of what he should be doing just because he was told to do it. He's the kind of guy who would be told "you need to shoot a portal on THIS spot to clear the puzzle" in portal and then spend the next hour and half NOT doing that. They truly were at their strongest together.
@@nananamamana3591 I appreciate both your candor and verbose nature; I agree with the third sentiment of pat but for all three of them and Liam as well, buncha mad egos.
@@Greendawn-di3dl Oh totally, like, I will *NEVER* say the whole crew didn't, or doesnt still, have egos too big for e-clowns. Like, watching Woolie's coverage of X-man 97? Who's Beau DeMayo? I aint ever heard of him, so anyway..." The SBF Zaibatsu was headed by guys who would never, on their LIFE do a backdown. Ever. It was charming, when it was just a character, but then we all kinda learned that's who they ACTUALLY are.
@@nananamamana3591 I couldn’t agree more I thought all of it was characters if not exaggerated variants of their personalities, but no it’s just outright their personalities and it soured this whole situation; I love the boys in their play throughs, but not anymore not for a long, long time.
@@Greendawn-di3dl im not sure what any of you are on about. I think you're over analyzing them. Pat's just the same skeptic cynic he always was, Woolie is funny man Woolie but his older age made him mellow out and become less entertaining. Matt married a radical liberal b**** and ever since has not been entertaining or really had a personality. All the funny in Matt disappeared, and because his wife hated Pat anyway. For now the inquisition is incomplete, Brudda
Well. Seems like youtube insta deleted my joke about "6 million al bhed"... I'm just saying bruddah... that number seems too high.
One thing about the AlBed is they like to move numbers around and make some up.

Man, this sounds like something an Al Bhed would say...
Something something Blitzkriegball.
Awww man! Easily one of their best playthroughs. Thank you for this gem.

love that they makie fun of cheer when it is so strong it will carry you through a good portion of the game

Man I miss SBFP so hard, I wish they would come back
Ah yes finally, the blitzball compilation
Lady Ronsos, have Renamon energy.
I wanna be a blitzball when I grow up!
Fun Fact: Yuna's voice lines are so bad because they were randomly sped up or slowed down in post to, allegedly, try to fit the scene better.
Guess SENA hadn't gotten the hang of the whole "dubbing" thing quite yet. They do the same thing a couple of times in the first Kingdom Hearts game.
Dude, thanks for making these. They make long drives for work enjoyable.
This is one if my top favorite LP's from SBFP. Im glad you made a comp of it.
Now GO!! Let the chest beefers come back to life
