Excellent review. I have tested the R1200 RS and will take this bike for a test ride, hopefully next week. All the 'toys' seem very useful and although quite heavy the low centre of gravity makes for a very stable platform. My inclination is to go for the grey one, it looks very classy and understated.
Many thanks for this review. I'm thinking of this very bike. Only need to check out the cost here in Australia. I'm sure it will be expensive (AUD20K+). I am moving up in class, currently on the excellent Yamaha MT-07 but I'm after more power. The adjustable seating is awesome for a short rider (163cm). I'll be taking this for a test ride. However a new exhaust (Akaprovic or SC project seems to be a must). Also your enthusiasm is contagious! It's great to watch & hear somebody who is having fun and loves what he is doing & bike he is riding. Keep the videos coming. New subscriber as well :) Respect & ride safe.
+Gabriel Johannson Thanks a lot :) Be sure to send us a small video if you ever change that exhaust. Curious to hear how it sounds like. Ride safe !! :D
I haven't seem too many videos where a guy is having so much fun! You obviously like the bike. I just subscribed to your channel… I will be getting a bike in the next year or so. Not sure if I want a BMW or a Guzzi. Cheers from Canada, Rob
IV owned both bike brand's in the past from my opinion the moto Guzzi Bellagio and the 1200 Norge are much better made I owned the Bellagio 940 which I totally loved very smooth gearboxes Italian quality all the braided lines leather saddle bags so many memories it was the 2012 model the BMW IV owned were the older models from the 80s and early 90s never any issues with the bikes a K series 100RS and the R series R100RS 91 model in the white paint job with the black mag wheels which never bent like many of the Silver mags which were much softer and bent on our Australian.rough roads I had to get the front wheel rim rolled in Brisbane Queensland after a trip around Australia on the Kseries if I was to buy another bike again I'd be looking at the Moto Guzzi only my opinion from owning the 2 bikes
After listening to a lot of crap in reviews, I commend you on an 'Excellent review' - keep them coming! I Iive in Australia, so big distances, I'm 67 and am looking for 'COMFORT' first! I test rode this bike and found you just lent forward a bit. However with a handlebar lifter I hope you could settle back for long distances, anyway that's what I am hoping. What do you think about this bike and Touring? Thanks!
Hey Belmoto! Very nice video my friend! I was thinking of the R1200R 2016 and RNINET, have you driven both? Which one would you recommend for everyday use to work in city + weekend gateways + yet killer look? And as a first bike (I'm a 31 year old very experience car driver with new moto licence). Thanks!
Loved the review.... enoyed your enthusiasm!!! Keep it up... subscribed. You may have already done a s1000r review... if not I would love to see one by you. I've narrowed my search down to this one or the s1000r. Will test drive both when the time comes. Thanks again!!!
I'm curious if you went for either the R1200R or the R nine T? The new engine seems much smoother and more refined. I like the simplicity of the nineT and the string -- I would have to change the headlight and seat on the 1200R to get it cafe-ish I think :-). Any thoughts?!
agreed, i own r9t with endless mods for performance n looks but thinking to get r1200r for increased power and reference the concept bike for mods. did you make a decision or still shopping?
What are you using to reccord your audio? So clear! :-)
