Heads up everyone. If you have Windows 11. PLEASE READ!!! After spending a week trying to get my audio to work & capture. I had to go to Sound settings. Scroll down to Output devices. Click on Elgato 4K X and make sure you Disable (Turn OFF) windows audio enhancements and/or spatial sound. NOTHING BUT LOVE FUTURE STREAMERS!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊

@@ItsKokopelli yeah it's actuaznot there. On other devices it gives me the option to turned off but not for the elgato 4k x
@@eisra3625 I know it’s frustrating. Trust me. I spent a week like a full time job trying to figure it out. But finally did. It was a windows thing for me. Hopefully I can help you.

Can you please just make a video for Xbox because it is not showing the same resolution of the source it kept saying 1080p and I checked my console settings many times
No one mentioned how I'm supposed to hear sound from PS5 Myself, while discord is streaming. I can't open 4k capture Utility, cause usb device is already being used in Discord

I connected the PS5 cable into the “HDMI In” and the 4K X’s in “HDMI Out” to my monitor…does it really matter which?

For hooking up the USB Type-c cable to your computer, I know they recommend connecting to a 10 GB/s port (min. 5 GB/s) but would connecting to a 20 GB/s port improve anything?
Connecting to a Gen 2 port (20Gbps) would behave the same as 10Gbps since 4K X uses a 10Gbps USB chipset.

@@ElgatoWorkshop Got the 4KX hooked up and I'm really enjoying it! Though, I've been having a problem with game and chat audio on OBS and your guys' 4K Capture Utility software. Everything's very quiet on my recordings. What can I do to improve the volume? I'm on Xbox Series X and I'm using the Chat Link Pro.

so, how am I supposed to watch stuff if the HDCP is turned off? My old captured card didn't care as long as you weren't using it in obs or anything. This one doesn't let me do that
We apologize for that inconvenience. However, those exceptions needed to be fixed in accordance with HDMI specification.

You *can* use 4K X with a standard USB Type-A port, but these don't always support the full 10Gbps. At mainstream 5Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1), certain resolution/framerate combinations like 4K60fps in SDR won't be capturable. But you can still play at up to 4K 144hz HDR.
my pc motherboard doesn't have an USB TYPE-C port . how can i connect it? any idea

You can still use 4K X connected to a USB Type A port as long as you use a cable rated for 5Gbps speeds.

So I’m guessing this doesn’t work with Xbox because everytime I try to record it looks like shit and it’s laggy
Can I still stream with it without a laptop or a pc? Just a ps5
4K X will still need a computer of some sort to livestream to sites like Twitch or RUclips.
I’m not getting any audio via obs. I followed the Mac instructions and nothing

@@hans8228 I just fixed it this morning. You have to enable the audio through wave link and then twitch it to HDMI audio is the capture utility app.

@@eyedol-handz You forget to mention that to even use wave link to solve the no audio problem in Mac - you have to buy an Elgato mic for the wave link software to even start.
@@dekuscrubbyfan888 I don’t have a elgato mic I have a stream deck plus. So I believe I was able to get it for free. Didn’t even knew it cost.
My audio won’t work with my 4K x but my hd60x works perfectly fine. The el gato support have been working with me for weeks and still no sound. I feel like I have wasted my money.

Does your monitor support VRR or HDR? If it doesn't, those could possibly cause your monitor to show No Signal.

@@6sense406 Make sure HDCP is turned off in ps5 settings, System settings and under the HDMI tab.

im not alone... im on windows 11 and i have no sound... you can hear crackling but no sound at all.
