I know you said streamlabs is good so I’ll use that but now I just want to know how to use the things I listed so I can hear my discord chat from my back and game audio and alerts at the same time through the mixer while streaming.

How do you use the Elgato 4K X with the Apple Silicon Mac ?
Oh easy, make sure you download Elgato Device Utility off Elgato website, then connect the 4K X to the Mac with the cable provided once it’s connected to the device utility update the 4K X capture then you are able to use it for Xbox or PlayStation on OBS or Streamlabs or etc
@@CraytonTvI did all that and Disabled HDCP and still have no signal. Any tips?
@@RalphZamaro yeah I had that same issue - did you update the 4K X capture card with the Elgato Device utility cause that was my issue once I did that and restarted my PS5 it turned right on
Is there any input delay with this capture card? I have about a 750ms delay I have to add for everything to sync up properly with the old hd60
Oh this capture card is smooth, there is no delay that I had, if so it’s like bare minimum like 1 or 2ms but other that everything else is solid and it’s quick and smooth you will be much better with this capture card then the HD60, I would recommend this 4K X or Elgato Game Capture Neo either one is solid

I have a Macbook M3 Max and I try to set up my Elgato 4K X. I updated it and disabled HDCP. My monitor works but it shows a black screen on obs/streamlabs.
Download the latest version of the Elgato device utility from Elgato website
@@CraytonTv Yeah I have the lastest version Capture Device Utility 1.3 not sure what's going on

@@MariShields25 what version of Streamlabs and OBS are you on! Cause I just checked mine with my PS5 and everything pops on just fine,
You should have Streamlabs version 1.16.7
Then Elgato device utility should be 1.3.0.629
@@CraytonTv So I changed it to 5 Gbps instead of 10 Gpbs and it started working. Something is going on between Mac and Elgato not cooperating.
I have way better luck using the iPad (M1) and capture app with the 4kX than I do using an M1 Mac. Didn’t go great with my PC either. Not sure if it’s just OBS or what, but I will have to stick with the iPad setup for now.
Awesome 👏🏽 make sure your devices are updated to the latest software and make sure OBS is updated also, and if you use Mac again, then make sure you got the latest version of the Elgato device utility updated also so you can update the 4K X capture card
@@CraytonTv - I did updates about a week ago, and it exacerbated the problem to making the iPad function not work. I was able to get it back to operational. There’s something about the scene that won’t get my feed to reflect in OBS. I’ll try again to see if there’s another update. I don’t stream, but it will be nice to use my interface to get some “live” commentary through my interface. Thanks for the help. I’ll try that again for sure.

@@CraytonTv - Okay. I was able to confirm that I'm on the latest software/firmware for all devices. Turns out that there is a known issue with M1 Macs and newer if you're trying to make the Capture Utility recognize the 4k X as a 10 Gbps device. I was able to get it working under 5Gbps device, but once I switch it in the utility, OBS forces the 4k X to not be recognized until I restart my computer. I'm going to try Streamlabs instead.

What about elgato software? can you still use that and record?
Yes on PC you can use the 4K capture utility and on Mac you can use streamslabs or OBS
@@CraytonTv OK ok that nice I was just wondering because I still got elgato capture s+ and I usually only use the elgato capture software I was wondering can you still use it with the 4K X as showing the settings of the putting it on 4k? I’ve been looking for somebody to talk about it for Mac users who use the elgato software
@@Eric-bh8sp well the Elgato Game Capture app for MacOS yeah it will not work with that app I have tried, cause it’s old and the technology has improved so now they only recommend OBS or Streamlabs unless your on PC then you can use the 4K Capture Device Utility which is like the Elgato Game Capture app but a better version.

I have a question. Im streaming on my ps5, nba 2k24.. i can hear myself on the stream but not opponents when i play. DO you knwow how to fix this without having opponents join a party?
Yeah, are you only streaming off the PS5 console only or you using a capture card with OBS and Streamlabs
@@CraytonTv right now only streaming off ps5 straight to twitch. i can hear myself talking on streams but never my opponent. been searching high and low for answers and was hoping maybe youd have some insight

@@CraytonTv which settings? Im not sure which to tell you? i do know i have all audio set to stream but its just that i cant hear my opponent. i can only hear myself talking when i play back the stream
