I bought the Elgato Neo and hooked it up to my IPad 13. I followed all the steps, made sure the HDCP is disabled on Xbox Series S and nothing works. No signal on iPad.
When I connected USB headphone to my ipad adapter which is connected to elgato neo with HDMI, the elgato neo stops sending audio to my streamlabs. I can see the problem but I don't know what to do . Any tips?

To connect the game capture neo to PS4 and laptop/ tv First need to disable HDCP on PS4 HDMI Settings, then you want to take your hdmi cable from the PS4, plug it in to the Neo hdmi in port, then take your hdmi cable from your tv plug to the Neo hdmi out port, then take the cable in the box which is usb a to usb c plug the usb c cable to the Neo the other end to the laptop,

I’m having an audio problem with my ps5 when I plug in my headset to my controller stream labs loses the audio when I unplug my headset I hear the audio through my monitor I’m not sure what to do. And if I have a condenser mic plugged into my ps5 what do I do about that or will it pick up my microphone automatically
@@noahochoa7260 you can’t plug nothing to the controller you will lose audio, only way you can do that is using a chat link cable but other then that gotta have your audio over the computer and hdmi

@@xmonstarz513 oh on the iPad, well you need a dongle, the one I am using is a 6-in-1 USB C Hub dongle for the iPad, - also have a video tutorial in the works on how to use it fully on the iPad, coming out this week. Still working on it but will be out by Sunday.
@@sup3rflotv ok download the 4K capture utility then see if there is any updates but makes sure you close OBS first so it will open then after you do updates if any close the capture utility then open up OBS and inside your sources add a capture device then from the drop menu select the capture card and then go back in source and add audio input device for the audio to come through
@@CraytonTv So if you play open obs first it is displayed above but suddenly I have nothing left on the application how I go about playing from the application. Because me with the HD 60, I played from the application and it worked
@@sup3rflotv first open the 4K Capture Utility to see if you got any updates for the capture card, but make sure you close out OBS, then after the updates install if any, close the 4K Utility then open OBS and add a Video Capture device in the source, then it should pop up!

When i connect everything to my laptop I can select the capture card but it comes up with No signal, and on the capture card it self the light is flickering white. How do i fix this?
@@TTK_Shayo did update the capture card, if your using PC download Elgato 4K utility then update it, if your using macOS then download Elgato device utility update it, and if your using PS5 or Xbox make sure you go to the settings and disable HDCP once that’s done reconnect/ restart and it should work then.
@@CraytonTv I just checked if it was updated and it was. It still doesn't work it blinks a red light for a second before flashing a white light whenever I connect it to my laptop... I only got it yesterday too is there something else wrong?
@@TTK_Shayo nope! Make sure you only have one streaming software open only! So if you are using OBS only have that open, or if you are using Streamlabs then only have that open don’t have both open at the same time, and if your on PC make sure that 4K utility is closed On your console makes sure HDCP is disable! And do have it connected right? HDMI from console goes to hdmi in port on the capture card, the hdmi from tv goes to hdmi out port on the capture card

I have artcis nova 7 (bluetooth) which i use for my audio and mic and it works well when i stream without a capture card. Will the Neo capture my audio/mic(game chat and voice)?
@@arryansinha1158 did you connect it correctly, the HDMI cable from the PlayStation goes to the HDMI in port on the capture card, then on your monitor take that hdmi cable & plug to the hdmi out port on the capture card, and then use the usb c to usb a cable and plug into your mac dongle unless you have a usb c to usb c data cable then only open one streaming software you plan to use, then add a video capture device inside the sources of the streaming software then and add a audio input device from the sources and it should show the picture
@@arryansinha1158 are you getting power with the Elgato Neo there should be a light on in the front, if not check your dongle and make sure that it’s plug into a data slot port and not a charging one

I get a no signal I don’t know what to do I done everything you have said the only thing I can think of is my HDMI cords, but my ps5 is showing on my Tv just not my MacBook Air M1 2020 to obs studio
@@BGK_B_Rad did you download the Elgato device Utility from Elgato website or the description, for Mac then update the capture card because it requires a update, then also make sure your PS5 settings that you disable HDCP
@bradbengettnkash1764 do you have it connected correctly, the hdmi cable from the console plugs into the hdmi in port, then hdmi out goes to the monitor, and have you updated your OBS also and is your Mac updated also. Try this close out everything! Give your computer a restart then just open the capture device utility see if it sees the capture card if it does update it then re open OBS and delete your device source and re-add it

Get the Game Capture Neo better for the long run, the HD60S+ yeah it’s cool but starting to be outdated and only options are ; Elgato 4K X, Elgato HD60 X, and Game Capture Neo I have both 4K X and Neo that both are solid devices if you pick the Neo keep in mind there is no analog audio port which means you gotta listen to your audio over the computer , but the HD60 X and 4K X are great too
Hi, i have the setup with the ps5 and macbook, im thinking of choosing between capture card neo and hd 60x, which is better to start streaming in 1080p 60 fps max, and are there any audio issues with neo?
The Neo is great! I didn’t have no audio issues only thing is there is no analog audio so if you want to listen to audio you have to listen to it through the computer over HDMI .. now the HD60 X is great too but I bought the 4K X instead but they both are good for budget streaming purposes
@@glitchcode_ Oh yeah no problem anytime, and on the Xbox inside of settings make sure your audio settings is adjusted to hdmi audio I think so it picks up your voice, And on your laptop whatever streaming software you are using make sure you add a audio input device inside the sources section

Hey man great vid, I can't get this thing to work on a Macbook - i've got the utility installed, PS5 settings all good but still 'no signal'. I didn't get the option for 60fps or the higher res either when adding it as a source! I doubt the device is faulty, brand new, but i'm super stuck now. Any other troubleshooting ideas?

And on the PS5 did you disable HDCP from the settings and with the Elgato device utility make sure that’s on the latest version and check to see if the capture card need a update ? Also what streaming software are you using? Then the setup for the capture card - make sure from the console you plug the HDMI cable to the Neo HDMI in port and from your monitor that HDMI Cable to the HDMI out port
@@CraytonTv Thanks for getting back! I Was using Streamlabs but then did two things - switch to OBS and used the cable that came with the Neo device. This worked! So seems a common issue could be not using that cable.
With PS2 & PS3 😳 I highly doubt it will go back that for for those consoles unless PlayStation has backwards compatibility in the PS5 or PS4 and Premium PlayStation Plus subscription but for the actual console yeah I doubt that because those consoles didn’t have hdmi
The Neo works on Mac with OBS, Streamlabs, StreamYard, QuickTime and many more but if you mean the old Elgato Game Capture HD cause Elgato don’t even use that no more. But Neo does work on a Mac 💻 just fine

@@CraytonTv dont worry about the signal from the ps2 to the capture card itself, I ve recently bought a retrotink 2x pro for that. My question was if I could use the usb c port as a video output as I do not have any monitors. And if not, can I use a HDMI to usb A converter? And also if the latency will be noticeable.

Its that HDMI issue, where it doesnt recognise input signal, only output, unfortunately, as far as im aware, unlike the USB ports, which can also receive input signal.
Hey dude, I have the capture neo. I have it all set up following your instructions, however I don’t seem to have game sound coming through onto the recordings? I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong. I have the Sony H7 Headset Bluetooth, I thought maybe it might be that so I unplugged it and I still don’t seem to have any sound being captured from the PlayStation.

@@CraytonTv Oh dude perfect I didn’t add the audio input device. Now I have the sound recording fine but I’ve now plugged my headset in which is Bluetooth USB the sound doesn’t record again? I also can’t hear my voice in the recordings from the microphone on the headset. I take it I have to use an external microphone? I have one and it works fine without my headset switched on. Is it still possible to capture my game sound while the headset is on?

What brand usb c wire did you use. I can only get the elgato to work to the iPad with the big usb to usbc I have all apple brand dongle and usb c wires

I appreciate your time and efforts. I’m using the iPad 11 Pro, Elgato 4K X capture card, Elgato pro link , EZONE H9 headphones and my PS5. It will record the game content without any sound of the game or chatting.
@@CraytonTv the pro link is connected to PS5 edge controller connected to the capture card. I’m using the Elgato app as well. I have an iPad hyper drive but it says no signal when I used it. When I take it off then plug it straight into the iPad the signal comes back. Is there a specific dongle?
@DoloKingUp no specific dongle does your dongle you have say, charging or data or is it both, cause if it’s a dongle for charging then it won’t pop up need to have usb c data so you will get a signal then you can have usb c for charging, cause I got a dongle for my iPad and it works - I’m working on a video for the iPad setup
Thanks to your video I got it hooked up but for some reason the capture card has changed the colour of my tv screen? So the hue of the main menu of the ps4 is a light purple?
If you are using a Mac make sure you uncheck that box in the Elgato capture device utility for HDR tone mapping and that should fix that, and glad you got it hooked up

Do you have the latest version of the Elgato capture device utility the new version is 1.3 or 1.4 then it will pop up! And then you can hit update on the capture card

@ yes it will pick up your mic audio, PlayStation doesn’t cut out the mic 🎙️ only the audio when things are plugged to the controller .

@@sup3rflotv ok download the 4K capture utility then see if there is any updates but makes sure you close OBS first so it will open then after you do updates if any close the capture utility then open up OBS and inside your sources add a capture device then from the drop menu select the capture card and then go back in source and add audio input device for the audio to come through
@@CraytonTv So if you play open obs first it is displayed above but suddenly I have nothing left on the application how I go about playing from the application. Because me with the HD 60, I played from the application and it worked
@@sup3rflotv first open the 4K Capture Utility to see if you got any updates for the capture card, but make sure you close out OBS, then after the updates install if any, close the 4K Utility then open OBS and add a Video Capture device in the source, then it should pop up!

When i connect everything to my laptop I can select the capture card but it comes up with No signal, and on the capture card it self the light is flickering white. How do i fix this?
@@TTK_Shayo did update the capture card, if your using PC download Elgato 4K utility then update it, if your using macOS then download Elgato device utility update it, and if your using PS5 or Xbox make sure you go to the settings and disable HDCP once that’s done reconnect/ restart and it should work then.

@@TTK_Shayo nope! Make sure you only have one streaming software open only! So if you are using OBS only have that open, or if you are using Streamlabs then only have that open don’t have both open at the same time, and if your on PC make sure that 4K utility is closed
On your console makes sure HDCP is disable! And do have it connected right?
HDMI from console goes to hdmi in port on the capture card, the hdmi from tv goes to hdmi out port on the capture card

I have artcis nova 7 (bluetooth) which i use for my audio and mic and it works well when i stream without a capture card. Will the Neo capture my audio/mic(game chat and voice)?

@@arryansinha1158 did you connect it correctly, the HDMI cable from the PlayStation goes to the HDMI in port on the capture card, then on your monitor take that hdmi cable & plug to the hdmi out port on the capture card, and then use the usb c to usb a cable and plug into your mac dongle unless you have a usb c to usb c data cable then only open one streaming software you plan to use, then add a video capture device inside the sources of the streaming software then and add a audio input device from the sources and it should show the picture

@@BGK_B_Rad did you download the Elgato device Utility from Elgato website or the description, for Mac then update the capture card because it requires a update, then also make sure your PS5 settings that you disable HDCP

@bradbengettnkash1764 do you have it connected correctly, the hdmi cable from the console plugs into the hdmi in port, then hdmi out goes to the monitor, and have you updated your OBS also and is your Mac updated also.
Try this close out everything! Give your computer a restart then just open the capture device utility see if it sees the capture card if it does update it then re open OBS and delete your device source and re-add it

Get the Game Capture Neo better for the long run, the HD60S+ yeah it’s cool but starting to be outdated and only options are ; Elgato 4K X, Elgato HD60 X, and Game Capture Neo I have both 4K X and Neo that both are solid devices if you pick the Neo keep in mind there is no analog audio port which means you gotta listen to your audio over the computer , but the HD60 X and 4K X are great too

Hi, i have the setup with the ps5 and macbook, im thinking of choosing between capture card neo and hd 60x, which is better to start streaming in 1080p 60 fps max, and are there any audio issues with neo?
The Neo is great! I didn’t have no audio issues only thing is there is no analog audio so if you want to listen to audio you have to listen to it through the computer over HDMI .. now the HD60 X is great too but I bought the 4K X instead but they both are good for budget streaming purposes

And on your laptop whatever streaming software you are using make sure you add a audio input device inside the sources section

@@freyastreamz yes you can use your iPad or stream off it using Elgato capture for iPad but you will need a dongle to add to the iPad for more ports but if you use your laptop you can use OBS or Streamlabs

Hey man great vid, I can't get this thing to work on a Macbook - i've got the utility installed, PS5 settings all good but still 'no signal'. I didn't get the option for 60fps or the higher res either when adding it as a source! I doubt the device is faulty, brand new, but i'm super stuck now. Any other troubleshooting ideas?
thanks appreciate it, which MacBook do you have? You got Intel or M1 and up processor MacBook? And on the PS5 did you disable HDCP from the settings and with the Elgato device utility make sure that’s on the latest version and check to see if the capture card need a update ?
Also what streaming software are you using?
Then the setup for the capture card - make sure from the console you plug the HDMI cable to the Neo HDMI in port and from your monitor that HDMI Cable to the HDMI out port
@@CraytonTv Thanks for getting back! I Was using Streamlabs but then did two things - switch to OBS and used the cable that came with the Neo device. This worked! So seems a common issue could be not using that cable.

With PS2 & PS3 😳 I highly doubt it will go back that for for those consoles unless PlayStation has backwards compatibility in the PS5 or PS4 and Premium PlayStation Plus subscription but for the actual console yeah I doubt that because those consoles didn’t have hdmi

Does Elgato Neo Support Elgato App on Mac ?
The Neo works on Mac with OBS, Streamlabs, StreamYard, QuickTime and many more but if you mean the old Elgato Game Capture HD cause Elgato don’t even use that no more. But Neo does work on a Mac 💻 just fine

@ there is multiple apps you can stream off a iPad, cause there is Elgato Capture, Camo Studio & Streamlabs Mobile but I’ll get the video out in going to finish it up today! I show the full setup with the Elgato capture app and everything it offers

@@CraytonTv dont worry about the signal from the ps2 to the capture card itself, I ve recently bought a retrotink 2x pro for that. My question was if I could use the usb c port as a video output as I do not have any monitors. And if not, can I use a HDMI to usb A converter? And also if the latency will be noticeable.

Its that HDMI issue, where it doesnt recognise input signal, only output, unfortunately, as far as im aware, unlike the USB ports, which can also receive input signal.

Hey dude, I have the capture neo. I have it all set up following your instructions, however I don’t seem to have game sound coming through onto the recordings? I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong. I have the Sony H7 Headset Bluetooth, I thought maybe it might be that so I unplugged it and I still don’t seem to have any sound being captured from the PlayStation.

@@CraytonTv Oh dude perfect I didn’t add the audio input device. Now I have the sound recording fine but I’ve now plugged my headset in which is Bluetooth USB the sound doesn’t record again? I also can’t hear my voice in the recordings from the microphone on the headset. I take it I have to use an external microphone? I have one and it works fine without my headset switched on. Is it still possible to capture my game sound while the headset is on?

What brand usb c wire did you use. I can only get the elgato to work to the iPad with the big usb to usbc I have all apple brand dongle and usb c wires

I’m using the iPad 11 Pro, Elgato 4K X capture card, Elgato pro link , EZONE H9 headphones and my PS5. It will record the game content without any sound of the game or chatting.

@@CraytonTv the pro link is connected to PS5 edge controller connected to the capture card. I’m using the Elgato app as well. I have an iPad hyper drive but it says no signal when I used it. When I take it off then plug it straight into the iPad the signal comes back. Is there a specific dongle?
@DoloKingUp no specific dongle does your dongle you have say, charging or data or is it both, cause if it’s a dongle for charging then it won’t pop up need to have usb c data so you will get a signal then you can have usb c for charging, cause I got a dongle for my iPad and it works - I’m working on a video for the iPad setup

Thanks to your video I got it hooked up but for some reason the capture card has changed the colour of my tv screen? So the hue of the main menu of the ps4 is a light purple?
If you are using a Mac make sure you uncheck that box in the Elgato capture device utility for HDR tone mapping and that should fix that, and glad you got it hooked up

Do you have the latest version of the Elgato capture device utility the new version is 1.3 or 1.4 then it will pop up! And then you can hit update on the capture card
Make sure DHCP is off on the ps5 system settings
