Those little dishes were for nuts or mints for when you played cards. Hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades! Lovely color. The ones I’ve seen have been smaller.
The folk art black cat on the mantle is wonderful. And so many good quality glass pieces. As soon as the video ended, I scooped the spring flower stuff off my mantle and replaced with fall items. Scott you’re always an inspiration.
Scott, I loved the crystal snowballs! What a marvelous idea to group them on your dining room table as centerpieces! I sure hope that cut crystal values go up. Cut crystal is so spectacular.
The “snowball” glass items probably started life as rose bowls, but putting battery operated votives in them would be super pretty too. The figure on the oil lamp base is supposed to be Bacchus or Dionysus, and the animal would be a stag, boar, or one of the large cats (tiger or leopard). The green and black finish looks like a 1970s “antiquing” paint job to cover the original polychrome cold painted finish which was probably flaking off when Great Aunt Mildred had Great Uncle Henry convert it to electricity.
Oh! That framed piece! Nothing wrong with a stain on the face I say. Often I have glanced in the mirror to find …. The cabinet is something I’ve wanted. What a fabulous piece Scott
What a treat to stumble upon an old curiosity shop video.🤗 Everything is awesome !! Happy weekend and thrifting.🧡The ceramic clock was beautifully done. So glad you didn’t leave it behind. I am now seeing console bowls at my goodwill. Still impressed by the cool collectibles you manage to find!
OMG! I love love love the green plates, and the green bowl, the big green plate with handles. Great finds. 👍The wooden Salem cat looks great on your mantle.
So coool! 🍰 Let em eat cake and that beautiful serving piece is the perfect excuse. I’ve never ever seen one before - Antique Ripley “cake basket.” “EAPG #10 cake/fruit basket with metal handle, made by Ripley, circa 1882-1890s. Clear glass with engraved grapes and cherries, along with fine-cut crossed bands. Metal handle was patented by Timberlake.”
The light blue club shaped "ashtray" is a pickle dish, not part of a four piece set. It is an EAPG mold, possibly McKey, but was probably made by Smith in the 1960's. Pretty!
For the month of October, I would flip over the black console bowl. Then I would place a vintage witch (preferably a witch) or pumpkin figurine in the center. I would then fill the circular section with Halloween candy !
Watch on tv ( eye surgery soon). But you absolutely made my night with the picture of Toddler Scott eating!! The rest was good, but the hand clapping was a real belly laugh!! Thank you😊
Great finds, Scott!! I like the cow cream pitcher. The lovely vase I bought from you arrived two days ago. It looks great with my autumn decorations. Thank you very much. 😊
I think that the first "snowball" may just be an American brilliant cut rose bowl, circa 1880 to 1920. The three toed bowl is also a rose bowl, probably central European, from the last forty years. Brand new to me! They would look pretty with votives, but I would strongly recommend battery powered ones so as not to crack the crystal.
Oooo your EAPG basket is by Ripley and Company, introduced in 1882 (!) Ripley obtained the exclusive rights to the handle which was patented by John Timberlake of Jackson, Michigan. :) You do find the most marvelous things!
Love the crystal spherical bowls, and your idea of grouping several together is great, it would be a dazzling holiday display. I see it on an entry table. Okay, the Irish girl music box messed with my head, since I gave one like it to a girl in the early 70s. I won't be purchasing this one from you! Love the burgundy 40s lamp, and I'm wracking my brain thinking of where I could use it. I'm addicted to small lamps, and have another burgundy one I purchased from you that is a favorite. You were on fire tonight, I wish root beer did that for me! Thanks!
That's alright, Scott, you have been out of order for as long as I have known you! LOL 😆 🤣 😂. I will just watch the next couple of videos and sort it out for myself.
Since I was there when you found your Duncan Miller hobnail cake stand I took forward to your first dinner party with all your hobnail. I will keep an eye out for the Save The Date card in my mailbox. ;)
I love seeing what Scott finds out there and being new to depression glass, it’s an education! But I do have to ask myself am I here for the glass or the comedy? lol
The hour hand on that ceramic clock at 12:00 looks like it needs to be tightened down, or it won't spin around when plugged in and will just hang there pointing at 6. As for that figure on the refurbished oil lamp, at first I thought it was a mythological creature called a satyr, but now I think, because of the grapes, that it's Dionysius, the Greek god of wine.
Was that a metronome in the background 🧐 I love… Love that black glass console bowl 🙌🏻❤️🧐 I am drawn to the footed pieces. The clear piece is perfect for cut roses
That Check Protector is why they used to say "Cutting a Check" because it actually 'cut' some of the info in, to protect against anyone changing the amount after it was issued.
Really want to try to purchase the antique glass creamer at the Fire & Ice sale. Hoping that you do not combine it with the white glass basket, since I am only interested in the creamer. Appreciate your showing items in advance so that I can plan. Have a great vacation 🎉.
I was on the floor laughing with "He sure is shoving those grapes in his mouth!" I don't know much about Greek or Roman mythology either except that Bacchus is the Roman god of wine so, maybe call him "Baby Bacchus?"
What is happening? Love Scott thrift shopping but I was watching KC and the SSB and this happened. Strange days indeed oh, my old coasters are common. Good to know. 👍 (I gave those as my wedding attendant’s gifts 30 years ago )
Beautiful fire place. I purchased a Art Decco, want to be battery clock. It went through batteries like crazy. I took the clock part out of it and im using it as a bowl riser. If that heavy crystal looks like maybe USSR. Russian. I have 2 of them.
That little guy is the Roman God Bacchus, the god of wine and revelry. He is always hanging out with grapes. Or Mr. Google AI wrote this:" Bacchus was associated with drunkenness, orgies, and wild animals, and was often depicted with a bunch of grapes."
I miss Salem!! You really should get another “supervisor” 🐈 🐈⬛!!
I love Salem, your supervisor. ❤️
Those little dishes were for nuts or mints for when you played cards. Hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades! Lovely color. The ones I’ve seen have been smaller.
Yes! Bridge Mix.
Thanks Scott for saving all these wonderful old beauties. They can't be replaced. You always amaze me with your finds. Enjoy the weekend!😊
Another outstanding production full of outstanding vintage & antiques. Thank you 😊

I loved the Snowball crystals! Beautiful leaded glass
Oh! That framed piece!
Nothing wrong with a stain on the face I say. Often I have glanced in the mirror to find ….

Awww the supervisor 🐈⬛
That handled cake stand is Ripley and Co #10 early 1880s. I know you didn’t ask us to but I couldn’t wait to look it up. Gorgeous find!
Well done, Abby 💐

Ooh that oval yellow Abington bowl! Would be happy to try and acquire it for Easter decorating!
What a great haul and a fun video. I liked everything but I loved the screen. I would hang it on the wall over my sofa.
I am stretching one of my shoes as we speak with one of those old shoe stretchers!

Watch on tv ( eye surgery soon). But you absolutely made my night with the picture of Toddler Scott eating!! The rest was good, but the hand clapping was a real belly laugh!! Thank you😊
Scott, liked your haul . Liked your sweet little "Supervisor" behind you. Your cobalt blue plates are wonderful!
Great finds, Scott!! I like the cow cream pitcher. The lovely vase I bought from you arrived two days ago. It looks great with my autumn decorations. Thank you very much. 😊
That girl in the black frame would make a great Halloween picture!
My husband and I love watching you so much from Pasadena CA😘❤️
St Pattys day is my bday and that girl is gorgeous

Good to know, thank you.
Preach it danielulz1640. A lighted candle in a piece of cut crystal - no No NO NO NO!!!!!!! You know better Scott.
I agree. The smaller bowl is a ABP cut pansy or rose bowl. The larger rose bowl with the fat legs is czech cut glass
SUITS of cards, Scott!
That long creamy yellow bowl. yum. Very tempting to a pottery addict.
I love the silver coasters. I’ve been looking for those as my grandmother had similar ones.
Oooo your EAPG basket is by Ripley and Company, introduced in 1882 (!) Ripley obtained the exclusive rights to the handle which was patented by John Timberlake of Jackson, Michigan. :) You do find the most marvelous things!
Favorite Item? That EAPG handles fruit dish and the wooden cat!! Although all the items were great tonight! Thanks Scott.
My heart did beat a little faster when you held up the black console bowl. This was an outstanding thrift haul. You surely find the best items!
I like the vintage wood black cat on the mantel. Spooky.

That's alright, Scott, you have been out of order for as long as I have known you! LOL 😆 🤣 😂. I will just watch the next couple of videos and sort it out for myself.
That thumbnail, Scott ... you look like a proper "Flim Flam Man!!!!" LOL
Since I was there when you found your Duncan Miller hobnail cake stand I took forward to your first dinner party with all your hobnail. I will keep an eye out for the Save The Date card in my mailbox. ;)
cow looks like it may be Bayreuth
My Grandma bought a lead crystal globe like the small one in Ireland in the late 1970s.
I love seeing what Scott finds out there and being new to depression glass, it’s an education! But I do have to ask myself am I here for the glass or the comedy? lol
It’s Bacchus, God of wine, I think. Lovely piece. I suspect this was gilded.
❤❤❤
I have the nut grinder! I still use it.
Friday September 27th and Monday September 23rd at 8pm both nights your welcome everyone
❤

Might the club dish be a candy or not dish? My mom always had those goodies on the bridge table corners when friends came over to play.
Hi Scott ❤
I miss Salem to
I know exactly what you did. You just went into your stash in the basement for this haul! 😬😬😬
Ooh did I see something that I really like !!!!!
That Check Protector is why they used to say "Cutting a Check" because it actually 'cut' some of the info in, to protect against anyone changing the amount after it was issued.
Kutztown Extravaganza is next wkend-Friday Sept 27 & Sat Sept 28. Hope 2 see you there!!!

Snack dishes for playing cards! My mom had a green set. Sadly, I don’t have them. ☹️
Look carefully at those coasters. They look like they could be sterling. Usually marked very faintly.
What is happening? Love Scott thrift shopping but I was watching KC and the SSB and this happened. Strange days indeed oh, my old coasters are common. Good to know. 👍
(I gave those as my wedding attendant’s gifts 30 years ago )
Scott, a cow is a her, not a him. 😅
I go by Cinnamon on my RUclips channel. I may change it to Sparkling Cinnamon from now on 😂✨️
😂 🌟

The picture is scary, Lizzie Borden era 🌚
BACCHUS WITH THE BIG APPETITE
hideous clock by itself, but in the right room that'll be different
Scott, dust is a country accent.
yugoslavian crystal?
You could be right 🤔
Leave him alone he lit someone s life at one time. (Oil lamp)
Who are the people in the pretty brass picture frames sitting on top of cabinet?
They are my great great grandparents on my father's side.
Are you going to sell the chinoiserie screen?
Yes....I plan to sell at a flea marker or antique show.
