Glad you’re able to get enough leaves out of your garden and don’t have to purchase them. Much better to know whether the leaves have been sprayed with pesticides or not.
Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day! 🤗

I never thought to use my raspberry leaves for tea…I’m so excited to do this! Thank you.

This is quite interesting, I have had raspberry plants for about 10 years. Never thought of making tea from the leaves. Here in the Netherlands the new leaves are just emerging, so it's a great time to harvest leaves. Thanks for the tip.

I have a terrible time with my cycle and I’ve been drinking raspberry tea for the last 2 months and it really has helped so much! I was skeptical because of how bad my cycles are but I’m seriously amazed ! Just reminds me how incredible nature really is 🙌🏽🥳
This was super helpful to know how to make my own tea so thanks for all the info 🤗

Natural teas are such a good idea! I have baby raspberry plants, so I won't be harvesting anything this year, but definitely in upcoming years. I will have to sow out my chamomile this weekend.

How cool! I don’t have raspberries but I have blackberries. Could I harvest them?

This came from tealife.com “Vitamins and Minerals: Blackberry leaf tea is a good source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins C, E, and K, as well as magnesium, iron, and calcium.”

I have been a tea totaler many times in my life. Then for some reason or another I need a boost of energy and someone has made or suggests or offers coffee and it smells so good and I really need a bolt of energy. Then I’m off on the coffee thing again.
Then I lost the function of my olfactory nerve(how one smells and in essence tastes aromatic foods whereas tastebuds on your tongue just detects salt, sour/tart, sweet bitter and umami). I still don’t have full function and usually if I smell something it’s not how I remember it to smell. Thus, coffee does not smell appealing at all.
(I won’t go further for coffee lovers-praise God they have it)
After they I drank it to “get the fix” of caffeine.
Then my life had a trauma and I couldn’t stomach coffee at all.
This is when I learned that not only do I enjoy a lovely cup (usually pot) of tea, I have found many teas that counteract afflictions of my health issues-cuz who doesn’t have those.
Now I drink tea to wake, take a break, don’t know what to eat, need the chill taken off, need to cool down(iced) need to settle for the evening, have an especially obstinate pain or illness. Tea is proof that God is and wants me to be well.
    Thank you, Jesus!
My next goal is to find a natural source of loose leaf teas of the teas I enjoy.

Could you put them in a freeze dryer?

Yes in fact that would be my preferred method of preservation if I had one. Freeze drying preserves nutrition and keeps the leaves looking green and vibrant.

Do you remove the bristle picker things on the leaves before dehydrating or does that go in your tea as well?

I leave them. I have a very fine mesh tea strainer and they don’t cause me any issues.
