  • Sometimes our tummy can get irritated and cause us some severe side effects, blackberry leaves have been used as a strong astringent that can help stem the effects of such a condition.

We also sang that song on the bus, lol... It was popular for us to create our own lines for the song to see who made the funniest lyrics.
Very interesting about this blackberry leaf tincture, thank you for sharing, Patrick 😊

What Interesting information about the blackberry leaves. Blackberry bushes are considered a pest by farmers in my country. I love the blackberry myself. I've never seen the other type that are ground covers before. What a funny little rhymn.

Cheap vodka is also not cheap in Washington state. When I wanted to make a bunch of tinctures I bought a lot of 80 and 100 proof vodkas in Portland Oregon. It’s the taxes that make liquor expensive, each state has their own system. A “sin tax.”

Hi Patrick. This was so interesting. We have a lot of blackberry bushes behind the house and make wonderful pies and crumbles with them. The wild critters seem to like them as well if the state of our car is anything yo go by....... Big hugs and tickles to your furry family. X x x

Wonderful! I remember getting the big "D", when young and out cqme the BlackBerry Balsam Compound to take care of it, so we wouldn't get too dehydrated. ☺
Our first home after marriage, we put in a Blackberry and Raspberry patch. Oh my gosh, did they get to be hugh, but once the flowers and fruits showed up, it was a task to get there and harvest some before the wasps showed up. 😁

I always want to know how much of this or that to use in herbal medicine and how long it’ll be viable for whatever ailment.

I love blackberries. It's been so great this year as they have been really cheap for us to buy - cheaper than raspberries and strawberries this year.
Love the idea of this tincture

As with most tinctures, the healthful constituents generally start to break down after 12 months from what I've read after that amount of time, The benefits begin to weaken.
