I bought my phone since it came out, so I've been using it for quite some time now, as a girl I really love the fold because it never slips from my pockets as my previous phones would, and I love that it protects my screen from external damage and falls, the only reason I've bought different phones is because they fall from my pockets and screen breaks so in this phone are my two main solutions from my previous problems over the past years, I love supporting new inventions like these that are actually worth it, this will definitely save me a lot of money. Won't have to carry a bag unless necessary and will keep me from buying many phones. Ps. At this point I don't even notice the dent and also I don't have to stand my phone on random stuff when I go hands free.

@@PilotMan.04 Doesn’t defeat its purpose as the smaller size is to take up less space in your pocket, thats the main benefit of this phone. leaving it open at home would cause less stress on the fold of the screen, which has proven to be a problem with most folding phones. Something can only fold so many times before it breaks. Doing this could help maintain the screens health for a longer time. At home phones are usually out of pockets anyway.

I've been experimenting with this phone since I've got it and I do agree with most your comments. The most concerning part is that the cover is very slippery. I'm awaiting a silicone cover for it. Yes you can see and feel the glass crease but after awhile you'll get used to it. I like that it folds for easy placement in pockets. The outer cover is okay for short and simple messages and reminders. I will keep using my GN20Ultra mostly for now. To save battery you can have the option of blanking the outer lid of information and will turn on when double tapped. Decreasing the refresh rate of the screen and battery saver mode will increase battery life. Thanks for the insightful review.

I could live with the atrocious battery life the Palm has, but there are so many other issues with it and it is clear the Palm is not meant to be primary phone. Big, big help. Thanks. If one uses a smart watch, the front mini screen appears totally unnecessary/useless even (?). But, your points about battery life, and the deliberately having to open/close, i.e., access, are well worth considering. While I'd like a smaller format phone this is not the one. Thanks again.

Best phone I've ever had, its a superb bit of tech. And there's LOADS of ways of saving on the battery to make it last easily into the next day. Rule 1 - turn off 5G, otherwise its constantly searching for it - that leaks your battery like shit. Rule 2 - sift through your apps and switch off anything you don't need to always be updating in the background. Most apps will update as soon as you access them, so its pointless having them still running in the background.
Also, switching from 120mhz to 60mhz is worth considering. If you're gaming then it'll have an impact on the screen refresh rate, but if you're like me just doing general scrolling and reading then the difference is negligible, but will help your battery out a lot.
Also - Dark Mode on Twitter and FB is your friend.
I've done some heavy usage and just those 3 things make ALL the difference. But if you just leave your Flip3 to factory settings then yeah, your battery is gonna be creamed by 4pm.

It's interesting to see the negative points about this phone, which means it's not so perfect as Samsung make out. I think it looks so fragile aswell. I'd be scared of dropping it. And for how much it is, you'd thought the battery life would be better. I'm still rocking the s9 in 2021. Yes it's not software updated to the latest one and the battery life isn't great, but a battery replacement can fix that. It still functions well. And I like it still has the sd card slot and headphone jack on it, where as the newer s series and the flip doesn't. I'm not looking to upgrade any time soon. I love my s9.

This phone isn't perfect. I'm replying from the z flip 3 xD
I had to replace my phone and had to wait 4 months to get it. But honestly it is a great phone. He didn't talk about the Upsides of the phone such as flex mode or the fact you can change settings to better the battery. He also didn't mention the quality the phone brings. Its a really good phone. The issues are it is sensitive and you need to be careful with it and a small battery. Other than that your looking at a powerful foldable phone. You can literally watch videos with the phone half way closed on the top screen while eating and stuff. I do this at work everyday. I keep the phone half closed and the videos only pop up on the top portion. He left alot of benefits out

@@stitches36 why spend more money for the Z Flip over the s20, s21, and new s22 coming out? The specs on the Z flip aren't as good, but it's far more expensive. You're literally only paying extra money for it to fold in half, does your current phone not fit in your pocket? Is it the nostalgia of flipping it open? The flip phone has a crease, the "glass" composite scratches far more easy, and even though it folds in half it also doubles in thickness. Not trying to argue or be rude lol, I'm just generally curious why ppl are buying this phone. Seems like the same kind of logic people use when buying iPhone, doing it because "it's the thing to do".

For example I had to rather have my note 20 sit in my passenger seat or in a cup holder while I had it plugged into my car for music. With this phone I can store it in the small section by the aux cord. For me it's based on the things I use my phone for. I'm not constantly on it and it isn't the only phone I use. I would take 2 crease for the fold function. LOL. It doesn't bother me at all, I don't even notice it. If there's dust on the screen I just wipe it with my hands or cloths. I do that with my slab phone anyway. BUT I think any review or opinion from another person is useless for this phone. You need to have it for a few days to decide. Regarding the battery I play Gatcha heavy grinding phone games. I mean it 5 hours straight and my flip3 doesn't get overheat and my battery is fine too. So I still don't understand what is wrong with the battery. Yes the battery is on the smaller side but it last well enough unless you plan to 10hr heavy gaming on it with max screen brightness. But totally good even for my heavy gaming use 🤷‍♀️. I do leave my game on max settings. I use this phone for gaming purpose only since I'm working from home and don't go anywhere during this whole lockdown pandemic. So... Hmmmm. I had this phone since day of release. 👀 So I can conclude that you need to have this phone and use it to really decide if it's for you or not.

0:05 Decent phone and decent specs? It has the top of the line SOC inside it. Top end, not decent, decent would be a mid range phone.
1:01 The reason why its not completely flat is because if something solid gets inside when you close it, will damage the display
This is why they made it this way. Where a gap would release the object to have play and eventually come out the sides.
1:30 Yes the crease is annoying and I agree, but the company had no choice.
2:15 The cover screen is not useful? Did you try the SamSprung app, this turns the outside screen to a very useful full
running app on the cover screen, watch movies, play games all full controls.
3:28 I agree not the best battery life, but with some settings you can get about 5-6 hours of SOT.

Very insightful analysis. There is a market segment for which this device will excel. As for being obtrusive, I don't think it is any more obtrusive that those 6.5 inch monsters out there, constantly glued to the user's hand (as it won't safely fit into a pocket). At least this device can easily fit, hidden, in a pocket.

Up until this phone came out I used a Nokia and a ipod.
Once I got all my data off the ipod and Nokia on the Flip 3 it's like I have the best of both worlds!
It has more battery life than the ipod but less than the Nokia.
It runs faster than the ipod.
It has more storage than both of the other two.
It takes up less room than the other two.
It has much better display quality.
I have access to HBO and Netflix on it which I couldn't do before (Ipod couldn't run it without lagging).
The only thing it doesn't do better is durability because I've had the Nokia for 7 years and the ipod for 5 years. I'm not sure this phone will last that long but when it quits out I'll either get a new one or go back to the other two

So i have a galaxy S10 with about 85 percent maximum battery capacity. I typically have to charge it twice during the day in addition to overnight. Do you think battery life would be a problem for me? And do you think this would be a good phone at all for me as a power user? It seems to me that everything about that phone is better, except it also folds.
