The finished size of this blanket is for a baby and it measures 24 x 26 inches (61 x 66 cm) however you can make it in any size that you wish. If you would like to change the size or use a different weight of yarn, you will need to adjust the length of your foundation chain. Make a foundation chain that equals the width you would like your blanket to be. The starting chain should be a multiple of 3 + 2 (then add 1 extra for the foundation chain). You can see how I worked out the multiple in the ‘Pattern Notes’ section of the free written pattern: maisieandruth.com/crochet-bobble-stitch-blanket-free-pattern/ You will then work your blanket until you have reached the desired length. In this tutorial I’ll show you what to do step by step. Hi, I really love your tutorials very easy to follow, I make 2 blankets the Teddy bear and the one with the pink flowers. I am going to do the third one, the bobble ones in blue. Thank you so much for making it so easy.
Thank you, Rosemary! You may use a 6mm crochet hook however your blanket may not have as much drape (and may turn out smaller if you're using the same weight of yarn). I've put more information about adjusting the size of your blanket or using a different weight of yarn in the description box below the video 💝
I was wondering the same thing. Not finding any 5 weight chunky chenille yarns only 4, 5 and larger here in Texas or online. Might have to break down and order what Amanda uses from Love Crafts. 💞
Thank you! 🥰 Yes you can - I've put details about the multiple used in the description box below, so you can substitute with any yarn of your choosing! I hope that you enjoy working up your blanket! 💝
Hi Dorothy, no, you will start with a chain of 66. For more details on this, please visit the 'Pattern Notes' section in the free written pattern: maisieandruth.com/crochet-bobble-stitch-blanket-free-pattern/ Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy making this baby blanket 💝
Hi Lisa, it sounds like you're missing a few stitches in row 1. Begin with a chain of 66 and work 1 single crochet in the 2nd Ch from your hook (place a stitch marker in this stitch). Then work 1 single crochet in each chain to the end of the row. You should count 65 single crochets at the end of row 1. When you work row 2, make sure that you work your first single crochet into the same stitch (directly at the base of the loop on your hook). Then follow the pattern from there. Here are the written instructions: maisieandruth.com/crochet-bobble-stitch-blanket-free-pattern/ You can always practise this stitch with a small sample (details given in the video). Or you can slow down the speed of the video even further. I hope this helps! 💝

Magnifique 🤩
Merci beaucoup! 😘
It's so awesome and your tutorial explanation superb 👌
Please let me know can I use 6mm needle to make this
Thank you, Rosemary! You may use a 6mm crochet hook however your blanket may not have as much drape (and may turn out smaller if you're using the same weight of yarn). I've put more information about adjusting the size of your blanket or using a different weight of yarn in the description box below the video 💝
I have 23 bobbles 😂 I won’t start over. Let’s see how this goes.
Çooooookkkk güzel tatlı olmuşlar kolay gelsin 👍👍🥰🥰
I would love a mitten tutorial!!🥰🥰🥰
Hi Kirsten, the matching mitten tutorial is here: ruclips.net/video/0j0vHAwXvR8/видео.html Thank you and enjoy! 💝
Could I do this with super bulky yarn #6?
I was wondering the same thing. Not finding any 5 weight chunky chenille yarns only 4, 5 and larger here in Texas or online. Might have to break down and order what Amanda uses from Love Crafts. 💞
Never mind… Amanda answered the question in the description box. It’s all in the free pattern on her website.
I have yarn that has a knot in it…..should I cut and insert a yarn in middle of row or is it better to start over at beginning of row?
Can you post a left handed version of the bobble baby blanket?
So no turning chain?
I love this blanket!!! Do you think I can work with 100%cotton yarn? thanks 😊
Thank you! 🥰 Yes you can - I've put details about the multiple used in the description box below, so you can substitute with any yarn of your choosing! I hope that you enjoy working up your blanket! 💝
Are you not using a turning chain?
I want to knit the blanket with a width of 80 centimeters, how many first eyes do I need to make so that it is uniform with the bubbles
I am a beginner so I can't really help for details but she said :
3+2 +1extra for the foundation chain.
Beautiful wish I could crochet 🙄
Thank you, Ann! Bella Coco has a great beginner series on how to crochet 💝
Amei.parabes.
How many balls of yarn for this project?
I would like to make A bobble hat for my great
Grand daughter.
She is three years old
Do you have a pattern
In large sizes.
Thank you
Helen
When you say 66 ch +2+1 does that mean 69ch?
Hi Dorothy, no, you will start with a chain of 66. For more details on this, please visit the 'Pattern Notes' section in the free written pattern: maisieandruth.com/crochet-bobble-stitch-blanket-free-pattern/ Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy making this baby blanket 💝
I've tried doing the blanket and I've done it over and over and still only get 19 bobble stitches at end of the row on row 2
Hi Lisa, it sounds like you're missing a few stitches in row 1. Begin with a chain of 66 and work 1 single crochet in the 2nd Ch from your hook (place a stitch marker in this stitch).
