You made this so simple ☺️. It makes so much sense. I am 13 and i can do this so easily. Thank you so much. I am making a baby blanket for my sisters baby. She will love it. Thank you thank you 😁😁
Thank you for the positive feedback!! I really appreciate it. I am so happy you were able to follow this video, your sister is so lucky that you will gift something so thoughtful to her and her new baby. God bless and thanks again!!
You are an amazing teacher! I am a lefty and need somebody to work slow and give me time to pause the video and you did a fantastic job of teaching this lefty !! Thank you so very much
I watched a lot tutorials to get the hang of this, this is the one that really helped it click, is it an option to chain 3 at the beginning of the row? I noticed this was the only tutorial that did that and it’s the only one I was successful with.
awesome!! oh I’m so glad to hear this. As for your question about the ch.3, yes, that is an option. what you want to be mindful of is not to count it as a stitch if you’re following particular stitch count in a pattern, that’s what can throw you off! A very helpful resource I find when following or creating patterns while using a more complicated stitch such as this one is to be more mindful of the measurements rather than the stitch counts. This advise does tend to go against popular opinion, but hey, story of my life 😄 here’s a link to my size chart page, if you’re anything like me - it will come in super handy!! Have a wonderful day & God bless www.diyfromhome.com/size-charts/
I love this bobble stitch you explained it so well. Could you please tell me if I could use 4 ply cotton yarn, and if so what size crochet hook would I need ? Many thanks.
ooooohhhh I LOVE that idea!! Swiffer covers; maybe a pattern I will need to try. Great idea & thank you for the positive feedback, it's very encouraging.
Thank you so much for the great explanation. I’m making a baby blanket with a heart on it but finding the more bobbles I am putting in a row, the more the row “fans” out and is causing my blanket to go wavy. What am I doing wrong? I have NOT added any more stitch. Every row still has the same amount of stitches. PLEASE help.
Question! When you single chain after making a bobble, are you chaining into the same foundation chain as the bobble or the next foundation chain over?
when making the first row of bobbles my bobble was facing the back and yours was popped up toward you...I am having a hard time figuring out which I the front and backside. Help lol TY :)
Hello, me again. First off, love 💕 your videos, pls keep them coming 😀. Question (just a thought) instead of doing 5 stitches to make the puff (ending up with 6 loops on my crochet hook) can I do 4 stitches instead, ending up with 5 loops on my crochet hook before I yarn over and pull through all 5 stitches? Seems like it would still make a very nice puff stitch (just a tiny bit smaller), would be easier to do and I can make a twin size blanket faster. Any thoughts? Thanks so much in advance
I am in the middle of making a baby blanket with this stitch, and the recommendation was to do this with a Modified Bobble stitch, it''t 3 double crochet instead of 5 for the bobble, I think it still looks nice, and you won't use as much yarn and make the project a little lighter. Hope this helps
Thank you so much! You have a very wonderful manner to explain this things in a simple- pretty easy to follow- clear- eloquent way. I'm happy that I found your video. Keep the good work, obviously you got a new subscriber 💙
Can you please tell me how I would make the Bobble larger ? Would I need to make the starting chain longer ? Or would I need to use a different crocheting stitch ?
Thank you so much for this tutorial on bobbles....this is a new stitch for me. I grabbed some scrap yarn (Red Heart Super Saver) to give it a try.....which had me curious, does the choice of yarn make a difference? Do you have any suggestions? I’d like to try something for Christmas...?? Would a softer yarn work better?? Perhaps a Red Heart with Love?? Your thoughts?
hi there, the type of yarn does make a difference. for plush or blankets, you’ll want a softer yarn. though softer yarn is usually thinner. i worked with Red Heart for my plushies and it’s perfect.
I have a question. Can I do a row of double crochets instead of singles. Just started crocheting and not real sure of things yet. Love your videos so easy to follow ❤
I’m sorry for my late reply. I don’t see why not!! I personally have not given that a try but would love to see what you come up with. Please share a pic in the Facebook group: m.facebook.com/groups/361349387617351?ref=bookmarks
Kim Woodruff, sure you can, you can even do one row of single crochet, turn your work then do a row of half double crochet, turn work then row of puff stitches, turn work row of single crochet, turn work then row of half double, then row of puff. It makes for a very nice combination. So many variations and the instructor is fantastic!!
Thank you so much for this video, I couldn’t figure out the written directions until I watched you work! Would you please do a video on how to crochet a tube?
When you start the bobble rows with the 3 chains that counts as a gull double stitch. Shouldn't it be chain 2 since you have to finish it with the other dbc's to make it fully a dbc. Wouldn't it turn into a triple crochet once you finish that bobble.

Use whatever hook the yarn calls for. It’s on the paper the yarn comes with.

Exactly what I was thinking. If you do a ch2 instead it will make the bobble pop more too.
