    I love this pattern as my memory is getting worse. I am using it to make my granddaughter a 54×60 cuddle blanket for her sofa. She is excited to get it. I made it in Caron Simply Soft yarn as she has moved to Tampa, Florida to start her job as a RN. So proud of her accomplishments!! Thank you so much dear sweet lady!💖 You are such a good teacher!!

    I made this blanket and it’s gorgeous. I combined white with two red stripes on both sides. It’s so nice that sometimes the dad steals it from the baby 😄 By the way, it was my first time crocheting, so after that I became confident in my abilities which has allowed me to take on to other projects. Thank you so much!!!

    • @miazuldecielo
      @miazuldecielo 5 лет назад

      I used a 5.5 hook, which is the same one I’m using to make a blanket for the dad for Christmas 🎄. This one is a lot bigger since I started with 170 chains. I’d say it’s a Queen bed size. I’m having a lot of fun making it.

    I personally am VERY new to crocheting and I’m not going to lie, I was quite nervous starting out, thinking that I was NEVER going to EVER, be able to catch on quickly! But This video is super simple, even if you’re just starting out!! I was able to follow through and catch on really quick to my surprise!! Plus the blanket turned out BEAUTIFUL, I couldn’t be happier with the end result!! Plus My kids also absolutely LOVED their new blankets which is a total bonus for picky little children haha!!
    Thank You So Much For This Video And Also All Of Your Time Teaching All Of Us♥️

    Thank you so much for the pattern! I enjoyed watching but I'm the type who needs written instructions, so I attempted to transcribe what you did into a written pattern. Hopefully I didn't do it too amateurish!
    Keep in mind I used the US version of what a crochet stitch is because that's what I'm used to.
    R.1 : Slip knot, ch (any #, just has to be a multiple of 2), then ch 3 at the end
    R2: Work into 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc, ((skip 2, 1 sc, 2 dc in next stitch )) repeat until 1 ch left in row, put 1 sc into last chain.
    R3: Chain 2, dc into base you just chained from, ((skip 2 stitches, then 1 sc 2 dc into next stitch, )) repeat until end of row.
    TO Turn: Skip two and work 1sc into last stitch of row, then switch colours.
    (If desired)
    To end first row that's done with the new colour, you sc into the second ch that was done for the turn on the previous round when turning.
    Rinse and repeat R3 (and turn) until blanket is of desired length.
    TO END: do as you normally would with ending the row but presumably slip stitch into the second ch instead, then tie off.
    Hope this helps people!

      There is also the option of turning on CC (closed captions). You tap the video and on the top you see "CC" and just tap on it.

    • @Scrumpadouchus
      @Scrumpadouchus 8 месяцев назад

      @@debbielyon3676 Hi! I wrote that comment 5 years ago so I was surprised to see a reply after so long.
      Having the pattern all written out is so that I can refer to it all at once, without having to re-watch the video each time with captions on.
      (Also the closed captions are auto-generated by a robot, and are not usually accurate to what is actually being said in the video)
      Hope this helps! It is a really cute pattern, I made it as a baby shower gift and it turned out really nice.

    Can’t wait to make a blanket for my daughter! How much yardage do I need to make a typical size baby blanket? Thank you!

    I love this blanket am currently making my 3rd one and then will be doing another one after this. Just trying to figure out a good border stitch to use. Did you do a border on it?

    Beautiful stitch. Is there a written pattern to be had? I got lost on the second row as to where to insert the hook.

      Dolores Ungerleider Me too! I’m not sure if it goes down into the actual open space or into the top of the stitch

    Does anyone one know hoe to finish where the yarn changes and it is cut? It makes the one side a bit messy? What am I doing wrong??
