How to Crochet The Popcorn Stitch

The Popcorn Stitch is a relief stitch, meaning that it’s 3D in a sense, it adds a lot of texture. The Popcorn stitch looks similar to The Bobble Stitch, but how you crochet it is pretty different and it has a fun feature where you can pop the stitches onto either side of the fabric (which I’ll show you at the end of the video).
The Popcorn Stitch
- Into 1 stitch, work 5 double crochets
- Take hook out, insert it into the 1st of the 5 double crochets (front to back), and then the loop (front to back)
- Yarn over, pull through 2 loops

Starting from a chain 0:20
Row 1 0:25
Row 2 1:25
Popcorn Stitch 1:55
Repeat row 1 and 2 until your project reaches your desired size.
