  • The Popcorn Stitch is one of those fabulous classic crochet stitches and should be in everyone's crochet repertoire! It is one that features a lot of texture and can be used to create a solid block of texture as I am going to work in this tutorial, or you may also wish to slip the individual popcorn stitches up and add an occasional popcorn for a pop of texture in a larger project.
A free written copy of this tutorial can be found here: richtexturescr...
In this tutorial I will be using a little bit of Pima Cotton Yarn by Lion Brand (affiliate link: shrsl.com/3atvr) and I will also be using a 5mm crochet hook by Rowan Yarns (I purchased mine here: fleeceandharmo...)

    I tried this pattern.
But for me to look right I resided to add 3 stickers for each side that will give it more squared edge on both sides.
    It looks really more lovely.
I hope you try it and see if it's for you.

I would make a blanket or a winter wrap, also if you use cotton yarn it would make a good dish/wash rag

You really helped me understand this better.
You went slow to show what to do each step and I am going to work on this to make a Afghan.
This will give me something to do through the winter months ahead.
But I put the LORD always first in my life I hope you do too.
Being saved with JESUS living in my soul is the most wonderful hope I have in amen.

Have you by chance seen the version of this stitch where you do not need to remove your hook? It looks great and moves along quickly. Maybe you could do a tutorial on that one too?❤️🌻 I'm making a blanket for my granddaughter with this stitch. She loves touching things and this gives her a lot to touch and play with 😀 Thanks so much for posting!!

Every tutorial I really like simple easy stich but I cannot think of the one that is a slip stich and either sc or dbc in same chain then skip one stich and repeat I can't figure out what do u call it

I think you are thinking of the grit stitch! It is a single crochet and a double crochet in the same stitch then skip the next stitch then single/double in the same stitch, skip the next etc. I love that stitch!! 🌻

Did this stitch in the center of a pillow. Put fringe all around. I was so sad when they became so old and ratty that we had to throw them out.
