Thank you for this video! I've tried 3 different times to learn knitting (I think the two needles throw me) but I've been crocheting for over 7 years. I found it easier to manage. I'm determined to learn knitting cuz I want to make my own knit socks and love the way knitting looks! Your video helped me understand it clearly and make 2 rows. But will I stick with it? Eh. Now I gotta go crochet something so I can feel like I'm making progress 😅

Thank you for this great video! I’m brand new to knitting just comfortable with a long tail cast on and the knit stitch. I’m confused about the 56” ball. I cut 64” from the middle of my 50yd skein and there’s not enough (when folded in half) to complete 13 cast ons. Are you taking 56” from each of the 2 balls for a total of 112” ball? Arrgh, old brain here :( Tia for any tips!

Yikes....😬 Crocheting is so fast compared to knitting! Look how long that took (I know its a beginner tutorial) so much needle work with 2 hands and 2 needles just to make one row when chaining and crocheting a starter row takes no time at all...and only 1 hook in 1 hand! 😮‍💨 I would love to learn knitting but I am the most impatient person so learning to knit a sweater when I could crochet it in a few days is very off-putting haha 😂 (been crocheting for over 20 years)

I did about 900 different crafts, everything from sewing io making a basket after from the free on down and i taught myself to knit. Knitting is the most difficult craft for me, partly because im so slow at it. By the time i finished a sweater for my baby brother, at age 3, he was in Jr High. This is lovely, though. I learned to knit when I was 7. In my 20s, I began a decade of back surgeries. The only thing I could do for work was to become a knitter for a designer. It's a fabulous skill. I loved that job. Something I made was actually sold to an editor of Elle Magazine.
