This was very helpful! to anyone interested in higher or lower max lvls, each 1 point of difficulty is +30 max lvl. so OverrideOfficialDifficulty 5 is max 150 and OOD 6 is max 180.

Thanks MWB Gaming, 😀 That will only work on console. On PC that doesn't work. When you use the difficulty, it will only go to 1 on PC. There is some glitch that Wildcard has still not fixed.
@@TapczanZaglady If you are on The Island, they will got to 150 but it's not as common. I though this was well when I did this on the Island but they will spawn to 150, but not always. If you are frustrated with it, bump the number to 6 instead of 5. I put it at 10 one time and that was too much for me. Level 300 dinos everywhere
Arktic, I'm doing some looking for you but so far, I can't find how and I'm not sure if it's possible. The best you can do, that I know, is to move the Difficulty setting to 1.
I found out the problem, what I learned is that if you create the world at the max difficulty rather than the default it will actually spawn the higher level Dino’s at around 135-150
I did everything that he told me then most of the creatures where lv40_115 which is good for survival runs so this really help me out with my low lv dino and bosses destroyed my dinos but now I actually have a chance thank you so much all support to him😊
Im playing on the island and set the difficulty to 6, but I still only find dinos up to lvl 60. I once found a lvl 120 and before I could tame it a giga came and ate it...

i thought that my lvl 76 spino could take on a lvl 3 giga (i was wrong obviously) to say that i felt defeated would be an understatement and now i have to lvl a new spino from scratch since they are a relatively rare creature i took the first one i found and it was a lvl 1 but i learned my lesson now
@@Kaazoo71Games the spino was like lvl 46 when i found it in the wild as well , but thankfuly they are VERY easy to tame , and most dinos are also very low lvl for me , should tweak the settings in the meantime
Hey man, wondering how to change the settings back to default, level 1900s everywhere its unplayable. Ive checked the uni settings and theres not even a override difficulty offset command anywhere in there. Not to sure what to do
Use the sliders. General Tab preload. Difficulty set it to 1. As long as you don't have the Override Difficulty setting in the ini, you should be good. Then do a dino wipe

Ellery Willis, yes it will affect the bosses. They are balanced to the 150. If you want to make it easier, change it to raise the levels to tame and play and when you want to fight a boss, change it back. Then after the boss fight, raise the level again.
@BravoSYB, you will always find low lovel ones. Especially on the island. Are you seeing some 150s? You can always up the 5 to 6 or 7 or 8 or 10. 10 Would be level 300 dinos.

Also, when you say it doesn't work, are you not seeing a lot of high levels, or NO High levels? It will not make them all high. If you are just not seeing many, change the 5 to a 6 or 7 or even 10.

@riseofnationsfan, hi. If you are referring to Ark Survival Evolved, the max is 300 with the slider, I believe. I'm not sure yet on ASA. Since normal is 150 and each slide is 30 levels, 5 makes it 300. If you do the method in my video, you can literally go as high as you want. Each is 30. So, Max 10 would be 600.
Kaazoo this tutorial work perfectly but, did you know how to make dino spawn with minimum level, like all dino spawn gonna with minimum level 50. cause sometime dino spawn with just level 7. thanks
@thewithoutcrown9186, sorry I do not know how to do that. You can however, bump the level up in general by making the 5 like a 10. Each level boost the max 30 levels. That would make more high ones. Just remember when doing a boss fight, you may want to go back down prior to entering the arena.

Hey can you tell me how to make the dinos on the server are all multiples of 5? I have levels like 67 and 116 but your server dinos are like 5,115, etc..
@peterjeong6182, sorry there is no way to make all the dinos a certain level. You can only increase. I know if you increase it to 10 instead of 5, then you will see the max 300 and find a bunch of over 100 normal ones.
You can. Follow this video with the 5 override, then if you go to the settings you have in the actual game, set your difficulty to 1. Then wipe and they should be in increments of 5. I don't know if this will work for you, but it worked for me.

Razor_Blade D, if you are using Steam, here is how. In the Library where you have your list of installed games, RIGHT click on Ark. Go to Properties. Then Local Files. Then you will see a Browse Button. Click that. This is where your Ark folder is.
On the Island on console I get multiples of 5 but they are more levels you can get that you can’t on DLC maps like level 5 is this normal because it makes finding 150s harder
Korel Espinoza this is very normal and very annoying. I can get multiple level 150s on DLC but the Island is a special case. I just had to wipe my game and all my data a few days ago. This created an opportunity to start the Island again. I added this fix and see many 40-100 level, but the higher ones on the Island are very rare.
Yo the copy and paste thing is wrong you forgot the "I" in "official" also to tell if it worked just look at wild dino levels and if its in the multiples of 5's it worked (Thanks you got me a lvl 150 sarco to spawn)
Spartan playz, sorry, this only works on PC. I've heard from other console players that moving the difficulty up all the way on console will work. I have not tested it.
I feel like dinos on the island are trash because the map is like an introduction to the game, while the custom maps have higher levels because theyre probably for more experienced players
just wild ones will be affected but if you tame a high level wild dino after you override the diffuculty it will gain more levels from taming than a low level.
@@Kaazoo71Games found out for me atlest its all the story maps so i had to go in to the files and add a officaloverride code in to get the story maps to spawn in intervules of 5 instead of 2

Sam van der Zwet, the only thing I know on console is that you put the difficulty as high as you can. I don't know about a 60 Cap. I know before I did this on PC and when I played on Console, the cap was 36. That was so annoying.
So far it seems to be working for me and yet i still sometimes see lvl 2-12 dinos? Is there a way to get rid of them, like make sure the lowest lvl a dino can spawn at is lvl 50 or something? :o
i have to play on xbox game bar because i cant run ark on steam its to laggy. so i went to my files and i cant find the folder for ark. do you know anything?
Todoroki, unfortunately I can't for sure. If you can locate the folder on your computer with Ark in it, they should have the same gameusersettings.ini Sorry I can't help for sure. I don't use Epic Games.
I was playing for awhile after doing this, still always finding 4-40 level dinos, go back to check the file and I find that I made a minor spelling mistake. Thanks though!
Does it work on console because I thought I was doing something wrong lm at level 90 and the best i can tame are level 20 anything but the alphas levels are ridiculous. Either way thanks
Phylicia Levy, unfortunately this does not work on console, The only option iis to raise the difficulty slider. I've been told by some, that the slider does work on console.
@oxfordandony2136, yes. Each one is 30 levels. So, 5 is max 150, 4 is max 120, 3 is max 90, 2 is max 60, and 1(the normal one) is max 30 (and you will see like a max of 36).
I tried evrything to make high Level Dinos Its Always max 120 IS IT a Feature With Mods??? I have ARK additional structures plus awesome spyglass and Dino storage
@user-hu7jg6rv5p, in this video I make it 5. Bump that number up to 6, 7, or higher. Each one will bump the dinos by 30 levels. But to answer your question, it's the Island. If you put it at 5, you will have a few 150s but not that many. That is the Island for you.
I'm on Ark windows 10 edition and I've tried the command for the overrideofficialdifficulty and it still doesn't do anything. Dinos still only spawn till 120. I have also tried changing it from the ini files but that also doesn't seem to work. I do a dino wipe after the command but still nothing changes. Can anyone help me?
CaptainCosmic7 - How are you verifying that the highest is 120? If you are looking around to check, you can easily miss the 150. This raising the level will only make a few 150s. If you want to boost it more, change the 5 to 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. That will really increase it. 10 will raise the max to 300. If you have a way of checking to verify that the highest is 120, please let me know. Thanks.

@@Kaazoo71Games Great news! Have you played Gen 2? I really did not care for Gen 1 so I declined to play it. I don't like the arcade style it went for. IMO not a survival game any longer. The Island is still one of the best maps if you get tames off the other maps. That is why I asked.

Only thing I am having issue with is they tied the challenges to completing the map. They are not as goofey as Gen 1 challenges but still. :)

@@Kaazoo71Games Good day, OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5 did not work. I don`t know why. Then I put it on 6 and changed the difficulty before playing to 10. After that it worked. Now there are many high levels up to 180 like it should be. I think the map is just glitchy. On the other maps it worked.

no ones real, I thought that was well for a while until I found a 150. Bump it up a bit. 5 is not the limit. Got to 6 and see what that does for you. I bumped mine to 10 and it put so many dinos over 300 that I was like, NO I'm good. Back to 5 it went. LOL
Fahad Alhumaid - Just type it in the Server Settings as you see in my video. DifficultyOffset=5.0 - The reason you are not seeing it is you probably have never changed the difficulty settings to 1 in the Advanced Tab of the load screen.
@@fahadalhumaid8258 Glad you found it. I mean 5. The highest you can set it is 5. If you set it at 1, you willl not have 150 dinos. In my video, I show it as 1.0 and change it to 5.0. my game user settings file doesnt have a difficulty offset setting and when i did the code and checked the file again the new code disappeared even though i saved it
orangethingy, change the difficulty in the Advanced Tab. Then load the game. Get out of the game and make sure it's still where you set it. Then you should be able to do this.
in my files there are no server setting just session settings and when i put this under that tab it doesnt do anything even after a dino wipe. Any advice?
@@Kaazoo71Games ye sorry phrased poorly. Just the section of your file where it says server settings is not there for me. I did get to the proper ini file
@@floppybeef77 Ok, so change the difficulty level to 1 in your General Tab, when you do to Host/Local, Get on a map, then back off. Then go look. If you haven't changed any settings, that may be why you are not seeing it.
Its not working for me, I did the override command and everything and the max level is still 120, maybe its because im playing scorched? Edit: my dumba** spelled the code wrong, its fixed now

You can also go into the advanced settings and click "maximum difficulty" which will force all dinos to be at level 150

@etilion5290, no worries. 5 is the level you need to have 150 dinos. If you do 3 the max would be 90. Each number increases by 30 levels.

Hey can you tell me how to make the dinos on the server are all multiples of 5? I have levels like 67 and 116 but your server dinos are like 5,115, etc..
@peterjeong6182, sorry there is no way to make all the dinos a certain level. You can only increase. I know if you increase it to 10 instead of 5, then you will see the max 300 and find a bunch of over 100 normal ones.
You can. Follow this video with the 5 override, then if you go to the settings you have in the actual game, set your difficulty to 1. Then wipe and they should be in increments of 5. I don't know if this will work for you, but it worked for me.

Razor_Blade D, if you are using Steam, here is how. In the Library where you have your list of installed games, RIGHT click on Ark. Go to Properties. Then Local Files. Then you will see a Browse Button. Click that. This is where your Ark folder is.
On the Island on console I get multiples of 5 but they are more levels you can get that you can’t on DLC maps like level 5 is this normal because it makes finding 150s harder
Korel Espinoza this is very normal and very annoying. I can get multiple level 150s on DLC but the Island is a special case. I just had to wipe my game and all my data a few days ago. This created an opportunity to start the Island again. I added this fix and see many 40-100 level, but the higher ones on the Island are very rare.
@@Kaazoo71Games yea it sucks cuz me and my friends had a lost island where 150s were still pretty common but on the island it’s very hard to see one
@@korelespinoza532 Change the offset to 10.0 instead of 5.0. That will increase the max to 300. So more common to see 150s

Yo the copy and paste thing is wrong you forgot the "I" in "official" also to tell if it worked just look at wild dino levels and if its in the multiples of 5's it worked (Thanks you got me a lvl 150 sarco to spawn)

Spartan playz, sorry, this only works on PC. I've heard from other console players that moving the difficulty up all the way on console will work. I have not tested it.
I feel like dinos on the island are trash because the map is like an introduction to the game, while the custom maps have higher levels because theyre probably for more experienced players

I don't but that may be something they added to max it to 5.0
Does you tamed dinos go up in level or is it just the wild ones?
just wild ones will be affected but if you tame a high level wild dino after you override the diffuculty it will gain more levels from taming than a low level.

@@Kaazoo71Games found out for me atlest its all the story maps so i had to go in to the files and add a officaloverride code in to get the story maps to spawn in intervules of 5 instead of 2
For some reason in my game user settings there is no difficulty offset. Can I still put in the override under the server settings?

Sam van der Zwet, the only thing I know on console is that you put the difficulty as high as you can. I don't know about a 60 Cap. I know before I did this on PC and when I played on Console, the cap was 36. That was so annoying.
So far it seems to be working for me and yet i still sometimes see lvl 2-12 dinos? Is there a way to get rid of them, like make sure the lowest lvl a dino can spawn at is lvl 50 or something? :o
Zin_Zin, unfortunately no. Low level ones will always spawn.
i have to play on xbox game bar because i cant run ark on steam its to laggy. so i went to my files and i cant find the folder for ark. do you know anything?
@SkittleGT, the only option on console (Xbox) is to raise the difficulty slider as high as you can. It's in the Advanced Tab on the load screen.
Why not just delete or change the setting below the one you added?

Todoroki, unfortunately I can't for sure. If you can locate the folder on your computer with Ark in it, they should have the same gameusersettings.ini

I was playing for awhile after doing this, still always finding 4-40 level dinos, go back to check the file and I find that I made a minor spelling mistake. Thanks though!

Phylicia Levy, unfortunately this does not work on console, The only option iis to raise the difficulty slider. I've been told by some, that the slider does work on console.

Alpha Reaper King, the OverRideDifficulty will offset the other ones. So, you don't need the other one.

@oxfordandony2136, yes. Each one is 30 levels. So, 5 is max 150, 4 is max 120, 3 is max 90, 2 is max 60, and 1(the normal one) is max 30 (and you will see like a max of 36).

@user-hu7jg6rv5p, in this video I make it 5. Bump that number up to 6, 7, or higher. Each one will bump the dinos by 30 levels. But to answer your question, it's the Island. If you put it at 5, you will have a few 150s but not that many. That is the Island for you.

I'm on Ark windows 10 edition and I've tried the command for the overrideofficialdifficulty and it still doesn't do anything. Dinos still only spawn till 120. I have also tried changing it from the ini files but that also doesn't seem to work. I do a dino wipe after the command but still nothing changes. Can anyone help me?
CaptainCosmic7 - How are you verifying that the highest is 120? If you are looking around to check, you can easily miss the 150. This raising the level will only make a few 150s. If you want to boost it more, change the 5 to 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. That will really increase it. 10 will raise the max to 300. If you have a way of checking to verify that the highest is 120, please let me know. Thanks.

There is a Maximum Difficulty check box in the General tab. That may be the fix Wildcard added

Leandrinho you sometimes will not have that line. Just paste the OverrideOffcialDifficulty=5.0 in the Server Settings

@@Kaazoo71Games Great news! Have you played Gen 2? I really did not care for Gen 1 so I declined to play it. I don't like the arcade style it went for. IMO not a survival game any longer. The Island is still one of the best maps if you get tames off the other maps. That is why I asked.

Only thing I am having issue with is they tied the challenges to completing the map. They are not as goofey as Gen 1 challenges but still. :)

@@Kaazoo71Games Good day, OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5 did not work. I don`t know why. Then I put it on 6 and changed the difficulty before playing to 10. After that it worked. Now there are many high levels up to 180 like it should be. I think the map is just glitchy. On the other maps it worked.

no ones real, I thought that was well for a while until I found a 150. Bump it up a bit. 5 is not the limit. Got to 6 and see what that does for you. I bumped mine to 10 and it put so many dinos over 300 that I was like, NO I'm good. Back to 5 it went. LOL

Fahad Alhumaid - Just type it in the Server Settings as you see in my video. DifficultyOffset=5.0 - The reason you are not seeing it is you probably have never changed the difficulty settings to 1 in the Advanced Tab of the load screen.

my game user settings file doesnt have a difficulty offset setting and when i did the code and checked the file again the new code disappeared even though i saved it
orangethingy, change the difficulty in the Advanced Tab. Then load the game. Get out of the game and make sure it's still where you set it. Then you should be able to do this.

Matthew Schoeneman, I'm confused when you are saying Tabs. There should be no Tabs in the ini file, It opens in Notepad

@@floppybeef77 Ok, so change the difficulty level to 1 in your General Tab, when you do to Host/Local, Get on a map, then back off. Then go look. If you haven't changed any settings, that may be why you are not seeing it.
