For those of you having the issue of the code not working i just did it make sure that you 1. only copy and paste the code without any spaces at the end. two make sure the code ends as it starts. three make sure your modifying the right file :)
@@itsamemario1213 Your level cap needs to be higher, ark takes away levels for bosses and stuff, so if your stuck at 112 which means ur losing 88 levels, try making the level cap 288 and then you will reach 200
I think the reason it doesn't go to all 500 when you use the addexperience command is the game sets aside X amount of levels for Ascensions...basically you need to do the endgame content and you'll get those levels.

My ini files have stayed the same through multiple files without having to change to 'read only'. Or maybe it's always been on read only and I never noticed! Lol
I might be a bit late with this info... but if you want your Max Level to be 250, you need to put it at 324 in the code! (For some reason ARK takes away 74 max levels, so if you add an extra 74 max levels than what you want to have, it will correct itself!) (I tested this on singleplayer so there you go!)

Will I need to make a new character for this to work on, me and my friend have our own paid server and have added the info in the google doc via the game server interface in the area where we can add code to the game.ini but the player level is still capped at 105 for us? any help would be appreciated
What server service are you using? The only one I'm familiar with is Craft and Survive. Make sure the changes are being saved and also make sure to save the changes when the game is closed. Wish I could give better tips, but it's hard to troubleshoot via text - anyway, I hope it works!

@@HavocGamingChannel Hi, I've finally been able to get my hands on the server interface( friend was doing the editing) and I managed to do it myself but on my own server and works like a charm, so I told my friend how to do it and what changes I made and our characters are still 105 on his server? We're going to wipe the server and try again and see what happens. Nitrado do have a section that allows you to override levels which is what I edited to make it work on my server, just need to get it working on my friends server because my server is only for 3 days whilst I worked out how to get it working....anyway thanks for the replies and help. I just wished he would let me log in on his server and do it myself.

Just to let people know...... THIS DOES WORK Somewhat for Ark Survival Ascended but I could only get to 135, once you get the max player level achievement you no longer gain levels.. Thanks Havoc. I come back to this for reference whenever I need to reinstall Ark
for anyone who this doesn't work for,set your game.ini to read only,the game keeps removing the line OverrideMaxExperiencePointsPlayer= when you boot the game up thus stopping the level cap from increasing.

I know this is over a year later, but just tested this and I didn't see anyone comment about the tamed dinos, but yes it does work to press enter twice after the first code pasted and apply the code again for Tamed to reach 500! It is not working for the Wild Dinos though... BUG REPORT 1. Your quick bar can fail... 2. Your MODS can stop working - if you press I then quicl bar 1-0 works, but once you leave inventory screen it will no longer work again

The reason for the number issue is that the coding actually starts for level 2, as it is the first achievable level, and 30 levels are reserved for ascension from whatever your cap is, thats why 472.
I had purchased a Nitrado server for ARK and using a PS4. I have an existing save file maxed at level 105. I edited the game.ini file as you instructed for the 500 lvl cap. I then loaded into my non-dedicated server but don’t see my XP increasing. The Nitrado setting require the user to stop the server before editing the ini file. So I wasn’t able to have the game already up and running at the time the edits were made. Instead, I first stopped the server, edited the ini, and then logged into the non-dedicated server from the game menu screen. Not sure what I’m doing wrong…would you have any ideas?
There are calculators you can find online that can help you get the code for whatever level you want. Most of them are kind of clunky and difficult to use, but there was one that was actually pretty good. Forgot which one it was, maybe someone in the comment section could hook up a link
I don't know if you are still paying attention to the comment section of this vid since it is old, but if you are, I copied the code and put it down for my singleplayer, 200 levels for my character, 100 for my dinos, yet my dino can get a hundred tamed levels, while my character is still at the base cap of 115, idk if the code broke in some way in the past 2 years?

tried this today 10/25/23 and i can confirm it still works, everything, even the dino increased levels

I believe that if you make the ini file *read only* the game isnt allowed to change it and you should be able to start a new game.

Shouldn't be! Some servers have player level caps, so that could be what's throttling your player level
