Here's a little help for farming :) You'll need: 14.000 Wood (13.912 exact) 2.900 Stone (2.828 exact) 4.700 Thatch (4.688 excact) 3.000 Fiber (2.967 excact) 25 Flint 12 Metal 5 Metal Ingots 300 Hide I included everything on the list (Fireplace etc.) so the resources you really need could be less or more if you're building it bigger or somehow different :)

Farming tip for beginners: I started less than 2 weeks ago myself, and I used to gather materials, bring them back, and craft them. This took ages. So now I bring a Carbonemys with me (The big tortoise (land turtle) thing) and I craft the items on the spot and use the Carbonemys to store the structure parts. The structure parts are lighter than the raw materials, so you don't need to waste as much time walking around. As long as the materials can be found in the wild or if they're light enough to bring with you, you can use this technique.
I just started ark, and this is by far the most dummy proof build guide I've seen. Amazing use of bullets in the video. Also, the music is so great I watched it twice. Great content friend. Keep up the hard word.

This is a toilet hut compared to what me and my uncle has build in the past.... You can actually build big ass castles in ARK, believe it or not xD....
Sal Dodd that’s a pve HOUSE key word house. Go to a pvp server (official) and you’ll find huge pvp bases. They get to be 20x20 foundations. The biggest base I have had is 10x10 on ragnarok with a 200 foundation court yard

This guy isn't talking for 10 minutes straight about how cool he thinks he is, his video isn't riddled with dumb sound effects and memes, and it's extremely concise and pleasurable to watch. Thanks for posting this, it's a beautiful and newbie friendly design. I used this design for the most part, I made the back yard a little bigger and instead of wooden fencing I used metal. And I used a bit more stone for the house so that raptors and the normal beach trash wouldn't be able to hurt it too much.
I made this one as my first ever build of yours!! Keep in mind I am not builder friendly at all but I nailed it!! This is honestly the first non box crap base I have ever built. It was so easy to follow. I only had a small issue with getting all the fences looking right when attaching them to the stone pillars but I figured it out. I am so proud of myself! Thank you for helping make it happen! Now time to explore more with my new found confidence in building!!
In this context, “start” means your first actual base. sure, you’ll have a small hut you’ll be working out of, but when you’re ready to start making a dino army, and start getting into the more technical stuff, then this is a good first starter base.

I’ve fallen in love with your tutorials. They’re very well explained and executed throughout the video, so it’s easy to understand, and I applaud you for that. Most people when they’re doing tutorials speed through and don’t explain well, therefor I mess up certain things or have to continuously rewind and listen again to catch their instructions clearly. Yours is simple, straight to the point, and clean. I’ll most likely use this base throughout my entire game instead of it being my “starter” base haha. Again, love how clean and rustic the base looks, it’s pleasing to the eye from how generally organized it is and how the textures compliment each other perfectly. The music isn’t annoying, the edits/transitions are comprehendible and not all over the place, and you don’t have an obnoxious voice over (not saying voice overs are bad; just saying some people are loud and annoying when they do voice overs). I definitely subscribed.
Built 90% of the base tonight in my Solo island, going to finish it tomorrow. Finding flat ground can be challenging. I was able to find a flat patch large enough for the base to fit comfortably near the shore. Obviously, you aren't going to breed 50 T-Rex's from this setup. Which is why he calls it a starter base. However, ill probably use this base so countless hours to come. It's just fun. It's skillfully architected and well thought out. Using stone below wood is common even in modern day houses. Though usually its a cement pad with a wood house on top, it follows logic. Thanks for the base. It will help me expand my knowledge of base designs and I'll definitely use some of these techniques in the future.
2019 viewer here. Just gotta say, love these builds a hella lot. All the stuff needed to craft this base took me over 4 hours! Even with a Theri and Ankylo. STILL WORT IT!
That's half of the fun, isn't it? At least for me, when I make it a mission to make something and gather resources...you feel happier being closer to your goal without cheating =)
Finally, a decent looking build I can actually make in ark Mobile since it doesn't use any PC/console exclusive structures from what I can see (like double doors and stuff), thank you
This is a great video and I had a lot of fun following along and building the house. Though I must admit I had a tough time finding a flat area on the Island. But, I did and only had to make minor changes. Thank you very much!

Love it, thanks for sharing. It's nice to see simpler builds from you. Some of the other builds are pretty expensive to build if you play solo on a official server, the best one can do is learn techniques you use in building them.
Collecting everything was a pain haha. But I'm definitely going to decorate it. One of each crafting (it's inefficient I know but multiples don't look right) some trophy's, and other goodies. For a flat section I chose an area that's right by the swamp and redwoods, on island of south 1, there's a cliff to the east side of the island that's pretty flat for it.

You can build on some shallow parts of rivers. I used his as a template and made my own. I noticed I never sunk on one of the rivers, and decided a little water home would do nicely.
I think I’m going to build this on my son’s Conan server. I know ow the perfect spot. It overlooks a field and has the volcano as a backdrop. It looks so awesome. I love how you used the water pipe instead of a pillar

You need to build this on really flat land cause if the foundation is too high the fence foundation will snap at the bottom of the foundation instead of the top
One of my favorite builds. Did 2 of them on private servers with Admin codes. I did one on PvP but it was very difficult and took a long time. Lasted 3 days before it was raided and destroyed. List of Materials Totals. WOOD 13950 THATCH 4609 FIBER 2900 STONE 2858 FLINT 35 HIDE 300 IGNOT 5 RAW METAL 12
Just took over a small mesa/plateau outside of redwoods near the volcano... gonna build this as a small base of operations for when I'm doing crystal and obsidian runs rather than having to go all the way back to base. Best thing about playing sp mode, no pvp worries and wild dinos despawn (are put into stasis by the hibernation system) until I come back into render range so having little satellite bases won't get destroyed unless I'm nearby. Also its MY map, I can (and will) build EVERYWHERE.

Just so everyone knows, if you're building on uneven ground, be sure to use pillars and ceilings instead of foundations!

Start with a foundation on the highest point. When the ground gets too low, continue with floors and put columns underneath as you go

Its nearly impossible to find a terrain that is enough flat
I was having the same problem but in the video description it shows the coordinates of where it was built
Try any spot on crystal isles or the island reagnarok is good to and anywhere that is a little flat lol
U can find a really good flat terrain in valguero beach or in the lake
the oasis near the top right of the map is going to be your best bey
Use the cords of the map

@@BonJoviFan13 try placing wooden stairs instead then you can convert the stairs to a ramp afterwards using the pinwheel menu.

Jackie Varughese You can’t bring dinos into Official Maps from DLC maps. They most likely brought it in from Ragnarok. Not Scorched Earth.

Made this bad boy in all metal and it turned out like an evil church like building. Needless to say I love it

Oook so right from the get go the fence foundation refuses to place on the edge of the foundation.
You need to build this on really flat land cause if the foundation is too high the fence foundation will snap at the bottom of the foundation instead of the top

You put down stairs and then hold triangle and switch to ramp

Isaac Alcaraz there are no dragons in Ragnarok or scorched. Just Wyvern. Dragons look quite a bit different

One of my favorite builds. Did 2 of them on private servers with Admin codes. I did one on PvP but it was very difficult and took a long time. Lasted 3 days before it was raided and destroyed.

Just took over a small mesa/plateau outside of redwoods near the volcano... gonna build this as a small base of operations for when I'm doing crystal and obsidian runs rather than having to go all the way back to base. Best thing about playing sp mode, no pvp worries and wild dinos despawn (are put into stasis by the hibernation system) until I come back into render range so having little satellite bases won't get destroyed unless I'm nearby. Also its MY map, I can (and will) build EVERYWHERE.
