I don’t want to pay tax for these Monsters to Sleep and Read and Eat and Shower. She didn’t allow that boy to sit on the toilet longer than 5 minutes and he had to pee in lest than 30 seconds. He was given SALT WATER TO DRINK… Do you know what that does to the brain? It kills people. The boy had diarrhea for days. That something you need to go ER for its life threatening!
She doesn’t deserve to be in this world anymore! She needs to made an example for People who harm children.

Shanda reminds me of the evil present in a Nazi concentration camp guard and inflictor of torture. My ex husband was this way. He stopped seeing me as a person and that made it easier for him to horrifically abuse me. These people are pure evil. RIP poor Timothy.
There is definitely a connection, to me she is like a rebirth of those female wardens, that were so cruel.Her hairstyle and outfit was as if out of these times. Chilling. We did not learn anything about her background and her upbringing, parents, her name is DUTCH, not all Dutch people were anti-Nazi, but therin lies her EVIL! We need to know about this and how this got to America.

I'm not a fan of capital punishment, but there should be a similar punishment of serving the time in Solitary. No visits, no phone calls, no contact with inmates ect.

Sad that such an evil, uncaring mother can't be subjected to the same torture her child suffered. Too many people believe that no matter what you do, you still have to be treated like a human. Her lack of caring should be the same for her by prison. A closet sized cell, bread or bread with hot sauce, and water. She is not human or humane, so she should not be treated as such.
She will get hers in prison. Usually child molesters and killers don’t do well with other prisoners

I am so in tears after seeing that sweet boy...I have so much respect for that judge ...I totally understand what he had to go through...there really is not enough punishment for someone who is a psychopath...with NO emotions at all...no empathy for any child or anyone!! I had to keep taking breaks from it, because of torture involved.

The sad reality is that womens prison is full of these monsters and this one will have value to them, she is a highly educated in the law with actual court experience. She wiil become a jail house lawyer,paid ironically with food from commissary. There is still no justice but its as close as we can get

@@HippieChick4Life69No I believe it was the step father (partner of Shanda) who had a stroke. He moved out of the home because he needed care. Apparently this is when the abuse intensified, with the step father not around. Not much is known about the bio father of Timothy and Paul. He had custody... I believe that is was Paul who disobeyed his father's rules and was a difficult child. This is why the brothers were send away to their mother. This was never documented, as it should have been. Timothy did not go to school, was not registrated living with Shanda. Shanda and Paul isolated Timothy and made him disappear from the public eye. 😔 Correct me if I'm wrong on anything. This is what I remember from listening to the court videos. The role of the bio father remains unclear. I don't think he was at the hearing, I searched for it, but did not found any sign of that.
She could have just gone to the next authoroty even to a neighbor, and state " I am sorry but I cannot handle this situation and to take care of my son Timothy any longer, please HELP"!

She & her ex could have put him up for adoption!! Even if no one ever adopted him & he stayed in a foster home, it would have been a million times better than this cruel hellhole prison he was in!!! He was abused by Paul all on his own. Before this nightmare. He could have called or ridden his bike to the police dept!! He knew what he was doing. He's as guilty as she is!! There is NO way to ever forget this innocent child. Even tho he was 15, he was younger. He needed loving arms, words, love & protection.

She didn’t want Timothy to receive assistance. She enjoyed watching him through her security camera in pain and suffering. If it were as simple as not receiving assistance, he wouldn’t have weighed just 69 lbs when he died, and she wouldn’t be spending the rest of her life in prison for 1st degree murder.
I think about the poor souls who are still hidden behind closed doors waiting for someone to help them, trapped, living with their monsters.

My goodness I have 2 sons whom are young men now but when they were little I was so over protected I could not IMAGINE hurting them. If she didn’t want Timothy my goodness I would have taken him and loved him, he’s a child I’m so so sad. But he’s in God’s memory now. You won Timothy💞
While hearing the attorney speak I’m reminded of a case I read about a prisoner that had a life without parole, he was in a cell with a prisoner that kept bragging about sexual abuse and killing of a young child that when the prisoner told him to stop talking about it and he kept telling him so finally he had enough and just killed the child abuser. Maybe Shonda will meet the same fate while in prison 👏🏼👍🏻 thankfully Timothy has passed before she could torture him anymore 😫😭
This case was so horrific I could not even watch it in total. Degusting and shocking.
life is not long enough
i am a special needs mom. my baby is 11 going on 12. he functions at about a 1 yr old level. i have been his caregiver since the day he was born. burn out is real. but my sons eyes are so innocent, he is so happy when he gets love, hugs and kisses. for that person to look in her sons innocent eyes and do that to him is insane. even the days when there is (tmi) shit all over his rm (thank God only happened like 3 times lol) and i’m mad, his eyes are so innocent. this is why i’m so perplexed by this woman and can only come to the conclusion that she is evil.

I found it hard to watch at times, a beautiful young man who never got to enjoy life. As a teenage boy, his mother would have made him think he was living in hell.
His mother faked emotions the morning of his passing. It was as though she disconnected.

I can not sleep already one month, since the process started.I hope Timothy finds peace! Even after the verdict and the final sentence , i can not find peace.

It's hard enough to have to see her chomp gum and drink water throughout the trial... But who the heck is her attorney?
Mr Johnson is actually a phenomenal defence attorney. He’s a public defender, & as such has been required to defend the worst of the worst. And he himself said this case outcome was justice & it’s the worst crime he’s ever seen- and he’s even had to defend serial killers. He’s spoken of how this case has broken his heart, how he’s forever traumatised by it.
He’s doing his job. Think logically, bring some of the emotions down.
By doing his job effectively, he’s ensuring she has nil chance of a successful appeal.
If you watch their body language he’s clearly utterly disgusted by her.
Mr Johnson is a phenomenal attorney, man, and community member. I’m unsure as to what qualifies you to ‘verify’ him (what a ridiculous sentiment).
He’s ensuring she cannot have a successful appeal. I know of numerous cases where claims the convicted or defendant were being filmed at an angle to make them look like they sought the camera out (Ezra McCandless) or were zooming in etc became an issue either during the trial or on appeal.
Repulsive as it may feel, you ought to be grateful to Mr Johnson.
He’s as equally committed as the prosecutor to ensuring she never sees the light of day again.

@ScoobyDoozy Thank you. It's hard for observers of highly emotional cases to divorce their perception of the defense attorneys from the actions and character of their clients. I do it too; I think everyone has. But as you said, a thorough and clean defense is just as essential to justice as a thorough prosecution

Thank God a justifiable sentence! She got what she deserves! I am also glad they got all those text messages from the phones as proof of the evil!! I can't as a mother imagine doing any of those things ONCE to my child let alone multiple times. She will also get punished on judgment day by our Lord. Her being abused as a child is horrible, but it does not justify what she did to Timothy! This whole situation is just so sad, we saw an evil mother sitting there in that courtroom, thank God she will be locked up for life.

I agree with the Judge. There’s no word adequate to describe the level of horrendous her abuse of this child was.
She so loves “punishment”. In this case, I find it unfortunate that she won’t be treated in the way she chose to treat her own flesh and blood.
But her body is removed from her new home, no one is going to feel badly for her.
