It is their caregiver's responsibility to "control" this ill self-destructive behavior..to help them by keeping them away from junk (that worsens their condition) and to provide healthy options. If the patient chooses to take it! Blaming a caregiver for doing so and accusing her of starving her child when she locks the source of food to keep her child's cravings under control is rather ignorant, rude, and pardon my honesty, insane idea. Labeling it an abuse and torture is gently speaking "foolish" misunderstanding showing lack of knowledge, experience and willingness to do what is right.🤷♀️ it is not justice.

I can even add to that! When my eldest daughter gave birth to my 1st grandson, she wanted to do everything by the book. She was a first time mom, so she just wanted to do everything the doctors recommended. Well, to me, he was still hungry and the doctors schedule was not enough! So I had bought pre made infant formula bottles. They lived with me at the time, so after she would feed him, I would take him for grandma time and give him more formula!! I hope it doesn't sound terrible, but I felt so much better when I did it. He is 5 now and years after that time I told her I did it and I wasn't sorry then or now! I could never deny my child, my grandchild, or ANY child food! When I cook or feed my loved ones it is always an expression of love. Of course not in unhealthy ways, but keeping them fed is a good feeling to me. I may not be able to give riches or gold but you will never go hungry.

So you got paid to work with kids with special needs? I watched her testimony before Paul. I don’t see the jury going any other way than the obvious. She knows the foster care systems is awful, but her treatment was better? The DA worked this case very well, plugged the gaslighting the defense attorney did. Why the hell is the DA going after Paul is it to force him to testify. Paul’s testimony was a lot believable, but under the evidence, she did the best she could. Maybe she is really is just awful. Not that my judgement really matters in the end, not that’s she has much of a life worth living even getting acquitted.
Maybe someone should give her only bread and hot sauce for her stay in jail!

As a former foster mother of medically fragile infants and toddlers I can tell you that starving children up to and beyond the point of death is not at all an uncommon occurrence. Every argument the parent gives to justify/deny it is destroyed when they gain weight within days of being placed in my home where they are fed and cared for properly. RIP dear sweet Timothy. You deserved better.

He was so genuine as well, when he asked her “how long was he in the tub?” She had no answer. I don’t understand this woman, how could she do this? When my daughter was born I was swaddling her and she had tons of onesies under her pjs. And I woke up when she wanted to eat immediately! I wrote everything down. Even though her days and nights were off that was ok cause I just wanted to see her eat with oh dear we had tons of different bottles and if she didn’t like one we would give her another, it’s part of nurturing. That was her baby!

The truly mindboggling part to me is how she's clearly thinking the jury is going to find her behavior perfectly reasonable.
I can't say for sure but obviously she had a hold over the older son, most likely long term emotional/psychological abuse and trauma. He was most likely afraid of her. Same thing happens when a spouse is being abused, with long term trauma you feel hopeless, afraid, and powerless.

Wow. She gets very emotional when recounting how much she suffered in jail, but not when describing the horrible torture and abuse she inflicted on her child.

Where are expert witnesses (social worker, psychologists, mental health specialists aka someone who knows and has experience with taking care of a teen boy who clearly was not able (or willing) follow simple dietary and exercise rules, who suffered with autism, needed help, seemingly (physically) healthy having number of mental health conditions. And how much do we know about the mom? Did she work, did she have a safe home for her kids? She raised other children, who perform ok without an "abuse" and "cruelty", didn't she? She needs help, the family needs help. Many people are hurt, hurting and need healing. Prison is not a place to provide that. With respect Rev.M. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask🙏🪷
