This is probably the closest we've got to the 2D Clone Wars version of Grievous since 2005. He looks menacing.

This Grievous is definitely menacing. He’s seemingly being used as a plot device to cause fear like he was in the 2003 clone wars instead of a character like in 2008, which is great to see in small doses.
Glad grievous is getting some recognition again, especially with this updated animation, I think this is the best he's looked since the 2003 2D Clone Wars.
Imo, Mace Windu force crushing his abdomen should be canon for how he got his cough. I do miss slender, stealthier grevious. Hanging upside down to ambush jedi like a bat. Star Wars Clone Wars is still my favourite animated series.
The best part about this isn’t the return of monster Grievous.
It’s that they fixed his shoulders 😂

I think that's the only time in a show, movie or even game where he felt as terrifying to face as he supposedly is lol. Be great to see Grievous be more... Grievous. It always felt like such a shame that a feared general and jedi slayer was someone who ended up losing almost every fight in all of the clone wars and his one proper fight in a movie.

Grievous is just one of those perfect monsters. Not very many villains inspire shear terror and dread just by seeing them.

@@FunFacts1212 Designs, aesthetics and concepts too! Also, if you want somewhat decent Sequel Era content, watch Resistance show! Although if you decide to watch, do so not that seriosly in Season 1, as that Season is mostly goofy and lighthearted.
meh, even netflix animated shows are animated better. And plot is bad, I guess its made simple into good guys and bad guys so kids can enjoy

Yeah, grievous knows when its time to expect a real fight, this? This wasn't one for him.
I believe the main reason that kept happening was because capes can be a hassle to animate, especially during a lightsaber duel. Same reason Clone Wars was having Dooku ditch his cape a lot, too.
@@izilladkilla Well, then again, they were inexperienced back then. Given that Grievous still kept his cape on for more than 5 seconds, it's clear they've improved.
To be honest he really shouldn't have his cape since he wasn't wearing it while fighting Asajj Ventress and the Nightsisters in the Battle of Dathomir
True but it’s a retcon because he wasn’t wearing his cape when he fought Ventress.
You know. Grievous is just having fun and isn't even taking it seriously when he's still using ONLY Two arms for the fight
Agreed. What’s scary are the rare moments when he only uses 1 saber as that means he’s not even trying at all, which really only happens vs clones, and he’s still such a menace as he only used 1 saber when invading Obi-Wan’s Venator in season 5 and the clones stood no chance. It’s hard to remember how menacing Grievous truly is when he usually only faces Obi-Wan who is great at defending against multiple sabers, or gets clowned on for the sake of the plot.
After the duel against Vestress he has only 3 arms, but you are right, Grievous is just having fun with a carnage, he even put his cape back on
General Grievous can choose to fight with two arms for more force and pressure on his lightsaber strikes since his arms aren't smaller when he separates them into four

Greivous is high-key underrated. People be sleeping on him.
His canon version is underrated but his legends version usually gets a bunch of praise from people.
in live action he is a joke. In animation he is a demi-god.
This just makes me want more stories during the Clone Wars that didn't involve Skywalker, Kenobi, or any of the main characters we're used to seeing. There were thousands of other Jedi and millions of other clones fighting the war as well.
I hope they give us more and more! Really wanting to see more of Quinlan Vos whose been in the background for so long.
Ironically, Vos and Kota are two of my favorite Jedi Generals, even though they hate clone troopers.

Seeing Grevious again warms my freaking heart, my inner child smiles everytime I hear that raspy laugh and see those flowing blades. Any Grevious content we can get, give it to us all. Literally when I saw Grevious in the trailer I screamed so freaking hard!

Seeing this just made me realize how far the animation has come. They're still stylized CW visuals, just a lot better and closer to the movies.
I would have waited an eternity for this, getting to see General Grievous in full combat, similarly to how he was in legends and the menacing nature of him feels like it’s on full display, and I love it

Ever since clone Wars season 7 the animation has been more polished and look's more photo realistic than ever.
The animation and art style are so good it feels like watching a high budget movie and I love it. General Grievous deserves it

@@crammothy Absolutely. It baffles me how it was not pushed for final animation, along with Son of Dathomir. Would have made the near-perfect final season of the Clone Wars, closing important gaps. AND if we'd gotten Son of Dathomir, we'd have gotten even more Grievous! Oh well.

That's kinda weird, considering Grievous's first appearance was in 2005 with RotS, and then Filoni's Clone Wars didn't begin until 2008.
Okay, technically, his ACTUAL first appearance was the final episode of season two of Tartakovsky's Clone Wars, but even that wasn't until 2004.

OG clone wars grievous only used four as a last resort, and mostly just used two lightsabers.
This massacre is honestly General Grievous' shining moment. He went there and dispatched a bunch of Force users in the most ruthless fashion.
Sure, he had his droid army backup but stood out in front of the battle like a leader. I'm glad Lucasfilm is continuing his depiction towards the end of the war as a legimately dangerous threat.
Are the witches Force Users? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought magic was a completely different thing from tapping into the Force?
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl Think of it as that which the Jedi and Sith call "The Force" and the Nightsisters call "Magic". It's their different perception of it that gives them their capabilities.
