The rose mesmerizes me!🌹 The way you master the paint, the lightning. I loved hearing the smile and your love for painting in your voice when you said you enjoyed painting so much. That's so soul nourishing. What you share about social media is very relatable to many of us I believe, either on bigger or smaller scales. It's quite a challenge trying to keep bringing our heart beat in all what we create and when sharing it by means of technology. And I strongly believe that it is this heart beat that truly makes the difference. ❤
I’m so glad that you liked it ♥ Thanks a lot! I always enjoyed sharing what I paint but for a very long time it just feels that I have to do what a platform/algorithm wants in order for my works to have the chance to be seen. And you’re right, it doesn’t matter how big or small your account is, it feels the same way or at least it does for me. I’m choosing to keep sharing my works but focusing on painting only what I truly want regardless of what instagram (and I’m sure RUclips as well) demands. I loved painting these simple flowers and my oranges and tomatoes 🥰 it was super fun and super relaxing.
@@YolandaBlazquezyou can try and not talk sometimes and put music and just paint. Sometimes this is more relaxing and will get more views than talking over a painting. I like when you talk verry much but i think will be nice a simple music one too from time to time..
This is so important! As creative beings it is so hard to stick to one type of motive or style for ever. We want to experiment and reinvent ourselves from time to time, which is essentiell to keep creating and keeping the inner creative fire burning. The algorithm is so demotivating, when experimenting now and then and posting different stuff. I really admire your work and will enjoy your postings no matter what you are up to painting wise. And I think there are a lot of people who will follow your artistic journey and support your work, even if you stop posting for a while or painting anything other than portraits.
Thank you so much! ♥ It is so frustrating trying to please an algorithm specially because it’s out of our control and even when you do "everything right" it may still not work, so it’s pointless. And it’s also very boring and demotivating. If I have to do just one thing in the same style and with the same tools I would rather just quit and do anything else. As you said experimenting keeps us wanting to create ☺
Hello Yolanda, Your paintings are still as beautiful and sweet as ever. If talking about roses... Until now, I still draw it as badly as before hahaha. Because I am a rather impatient person. So I messed it up I don't know how many dozen times. And I hope I can draw it as I want one day. And like you, I love flat brushes. It is very easy to color for paint. Have a nice day Mariss
Thank you Mariss ❤ we all mess up, then we get better, then mess up again and like this forever haha PS: I looove flat brushes but anything but watercolor Have a nice day!
I’m so glad!! Thank you 🥰 you can try it whenever you want to just for personal growth but the Strada challenge runs in January and in September, in case you want to join. I may try again in September
Very happy to see you back and creating! ❤ We very much enjoy watching your process. Algorithms are very... unkind. Especially to artists. It's hugely disheartening as an artist and viewer. A lot of channels I used to love, I don't watch anymore because those artists stopped doing art and started doing gimmicky videos and product reviews. You see maybe 2 minutes of very sped up art out of a 10 minute video. I personally prefer quality over quantity. I love seeing the creative process in its entirety. Ideally, I prefer videos that are at least 20 minutes. I will try to comment more. I'm fastidious about liking videos, but don't comment a lot. I forget how the algorithms are "fed". ❤
Thank you so much Elisa ♥ I really appreciate it but please don’t feel forced to comment if you don’t feel like it. It means a lot though ❤ I feel the same way and I stopped watching quite a few people for the same reasons. If something is too extra and feels inauthentic I can’t stand it. I also miss watching more painting videos, seeing how other people paint but in a normal and calm manner but the recommendations from RUclips don’t tend to match. It seems like you need to have a “youtube personality” these days 😅 and I refuse to do silly things.
I didn't do Instagram, so I've been waiting for RUclips videos. The flowers are so beautiful. They're totally my style!! 🌹❤❣💕Your painting is the best!!
¡yolanda! sooo happy to see a new video! your work is incredible (even the pieces that aren't up to your standards - i wanted to cry when you ripped up a work in progress on pastelmat) and i hope you know that despite the struggles, your honesty and determination is encouraging & i thank you for it. take care and please keep sharing your art journey.
Thank you for the encouragement! ❤️ I think I needed to rip that piece apart to start this journey of really working on what I want. It wasn’t a loss at all ☺️ Have a lovely day!
Hello. Your work is truly remarkable. I wanted to ask a few queries if I may. 1. Is this particular piece using oils or acrylics? Very striking! 2. Have you ever used oil pastels on a mounted canvas? If so what was your experience? Did you coat it with anything afterwards and did it retain its colour? Thank you again. I will definitely be following you here and Instagram. Best regards. Keep creating!
Hello! Thanks a lot for the kind words. I painted this using oils (I don’t have experience with acrylics) and have only used paper as my surface for oil pastels. I haven’t painted on canvas but I tried applying them on canvas paper for oil paints and it didn’t work, it was way too slippery. Have a nice day!
Hola Yolanda Perdóname por Comentar hasta ahora ya que mi trabajó no me deja tiempo...y que bello te quedó la Rosa ya se extrañaba tus bellos dibujos😗😗😗😗😗
you are so SOOOO TALENTED/ i recomend you draw alot of different things to not have art block, like not only ppl or the same objects. i have that too, often, and i dont paint with joy, i feel pressure to make something good and not just a schetch. but when i paint whatever i feel im happy. try to pray to JESUS before you paint and you ll see how great things will be, you will feel more peace
Thank you so much ❤ I agree that painting a variety of things is key to never get bored or burnt out. It’s just difficult when the time available is limited.
I follow you and appreciate your paintings, but, i would hope that you do what makes you happy. That is the person that i want to see, not whatever the algorithm wants. Just do the painting that makes you happy and proud and what you enjoy. That definitely is conveyed through your paintings and it is what we want to see. The ones you really want to and love and enjoy, if that means you post less that is fine with me!❤️
Thank you so much for the support and the encouragement ❤️ I really appreciate it. I tried playing the game but I can’t anymore so I’m going to be doing my thing ☺️The sad part is that even people that are interested don’t get to see my paintings/posts (or other people’s posts) because they are not favored by the algorithm.

this is fascinating, thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts with us ☺☺☺
