Im really loving mine :3 still havent tried to bread tetras xD
These are really amazing fish, they are very rewarding to keep, they really enjoy a blackwater setup with dim light and leaf litters, i think they will do better in a species only tank

You forgot to mention their glass-like fins! These fish are beautiful. I used to keep some in a 55 gallon a while back.

These be egg scatters so youd probably always want more F than M
Could you put neon or ember tetras with these?
Embers might be too small for them. These are a bit more active than your regular tetra and swarm food. Neons are a bit larger so if you get em full grown or cardinals. And get enough so they school up well you should he ok. I tried smaller things and they got eaten
Can you tell me if my full grown Amano Shrimp would be safe went the Congo Tetra's?
They should be fine. I'd just be safe and make sure you have holding spots for the shrimps. I have not had issues with my congos being aggressive towards anyone in my tank. Aslong as you keep them fed they'd have no reason to est your shrimpies ^_^
What should be the male to female ratio for congo tetra in tank for best results
Are you trying to breed them or just in general? Breeding wise I've never tried it so I can answer. In general however the males will look nicer they get a the nice orange stripe and longer fins. Where as the females are more streamline and less colorful. Personally I have 4 males and 2 females if that helps ^_^
Can I keep only 3 male congos? I have a tetra only community tank
3 might be too small of a group so you might see aggression. Should really be 5 min
I got my congos in a 60 gallon and for some reason 2 weeks in after I got them they started to die one by one every 2 days
So to diagnose this we'd need to go through a whole list of things. 1st would be age of the tank as in how long has it been up and running. Then we'd move onto water parameters providing the tank has already cycled. Is there ammonia present, or nitrites? Did your nitrates spike? Has pH drastically changed? Then was anything new added to the tank, decor, plants, fish. Then where the fish came from, how'd they look when they came in did any seem off. How have they died?
Can congo tetra get along with angelfish?
That's kind of a yes and no. Becuase once angels start to breed they can and will kill tank mates. So it would depend on the tank size and your fish. For the most part of noticed my Congos leave their tank mates alone. You could try it but have a back up tank if you need to remove one of them
