Race! If it is like the EB48 2.0 it won't be as durable as the older Tekno vehicles. Not as well suited for bashing.

Another great vid rich, Tekno kits are so well made, you can see the quality from a mile off. That body shell is horrendous though!! Hopefully proline or j-concepts can do a better job of it👍🏽
I agree on the quality...just look at it on video, it's amazing! The front shock tower has holes for the old body mounts....so the old stuff will work

Race it!!! Then get another for bashing lol!! That body is awesome!!! I seen the pro drivers running it & couldn’t figure out what body or who made it, now I know lol. Cannot wait to see it all built up & running! Maybe proline or jconcepts will make a body like the stock one but rounded edges mor aero dynamic?
I honestly love the difference in the body. The front tower has holes for the old body mounts.....so most truggy bodies should fit (ET48.3)

I still have a almost built et48.3 almost built I just got bags p,o, & q left which are the side trays & wing!! I'm gona have to give it to kids & buy this 2.0 now for myself!! The body is awesome AF I think!! Deffently a body ur either gona love or hate!! I feel this 2.0 will be heavier than the et48.3 due to how much wider the chassis is!! Looking forward to seeing you complete this kit pretty sure ur gona throw a Tekkin into it!!

I would say build it to race, so many other "Basher" kind of cars out there, but only a few racers
There are quite a few bashers.....mostly Arrma these days though
As for race versus bash as I haven't joined a club to race it would be a bashing RC.. so paint would be creative.. as my last finished build Schumacher cat xls was..
Its a truggy so i think its a basher..but it depends of how fast you make it,i dont know about the width of the car,but it seems very stable tho..as far as color i would choose White and silver scheme..this thing is very desireable as my Arrma typhon 6s in silver”homemade”with Stock red shocks..looking forward to see it assambled!
Teknos kit is way more organized than my rc8T3.2e
AE kits are an embarrassment lately with missing parts, QC issues and bad directions, TBH

Basher build would be sweet. It's kinda getting a little old seeing everyone go with Arrma, Traxxas or Losi bashers the quality of this tekno puts the others to shame.

Out of box should be race build, taken to track for 1st shake down and review..... then bash it in box stock form 👍🏾

Not sure I like to body but maybe it will grow on me or maybe you will make it look cooler with your paint job. Right now I’m thinking it’s really freaking ugly. Hi mate. I was wondering if I could get your review on the mugen seiki mbx8t eco. And the Xray xt8e. And do you think that mugen will release a new updated mbx8t eco for, 22, the same as there new release of there mbx8r eco. Thanks
Unlike Xray, Mugen only offers new models if they have a substantial improvement. Honestly, I would look into what you have part support locally.....as Xray is hard to find in my area (SoCal) vs. Mugen which is about 20 miles from me. Mugen does make solid stuff - I'd trust their platform over Xray.

is tekno doing a remake of everything? i just bought the sct but now i start to wonder if they are going to do a remake soon or not? racer!
I don’t think they will. The car is great as is and short course is kind of dying off so it could be a waste of time for them to develop a new car when the current one is perfect.
I plan on getting one to bash around in the yard. I don't have time to go to the races. Racing is too much like a second job.

So what would you do different between a racer and basher?
Probably tires, like proline badlands , 6s system, and see if m2c has any parts for the 48.3 that will fit in the new car.

Quite possibly......just need to source the right wheels/tires and be willing to sacrifice my EB48 2.0 as well

This car looks awesome, Tekno definitely know how to make them, there's a lot of quality parts there and looks like they are catering for both bashers and racers. However, that body is trash! That thing fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. LOL. Legal or not, practical or not, it looks like a April fool's joke drawn by a 3yr old. Certainly not something I'd use...
Great first look at this Truggy, Rich, and look forward to what you do with it. Why not make it a hybrid? A basher that you can take to the track on the odd occasion or a racer you bash with your friends? Just a thought. 🙂👍
Thanks Vas! yeah, Tekno's quality is pretty top notch. The body has grown on me.....and I'm always a performance guy, so if it gives an advantage, I'll take it....even if it has a pile of turds on the cab! this might just be a tire change from bash to race

Everything looks amazing, then you get to that body. Im always a function over form (even irl) but that body is enough for HARD PASS. Body looks like a major afterthought which is a shame when you look at the rest.
They actually put a lot of time into that body. The new trucks originally had a much different body that looked debatably better (it looked like the et410 body) but after months of testing they came to find that this body gave a much better feel for the car. I personally would rather have something that doesn’t look as good and have it outperform everything else.

Race build. If it were any other major race companies truck I don't think you'd even ask which way to build it. They built it to race not bash. That's what the MT410 is for. You can't get a feel for how a race vehicle handles going back and forth In a pit
