I’ve got a ET48 2.0. I’m planning to order a RX8 and the 2200kv truggy motor for it. I ran a Tekin RX8 gen 2 and Trinity D8 motor in my old EB48.4 and Tekin has never let me down and the quality is there there is no better !
Because of this video and what Tekin and Tekno does for us Veterans... I am sold!!!! The video is what will help me get started on this journey in RC. Thank ou sir!!!!!
@@TekinRacing It was my pleasure to serve... I believe RC is going to help me on my road to health and video's like this make it easier to build and work on these machines. Keep up the great content.
Thanks for the setup. I was considering the Tekno EB48 2.0 - still on the fence. One thing some ESC manufactures do that is odd is not have ABC leads then +- at the end, maybe it is for safety
Just got my EB48 2.0 and this will be my first build. Since I was thinking of going tekin 1900 motor and the gen3 rx8, Thank you so much for this great video! You did a Fantastic job explaining and showing things clearly. Is there any other tips or recommendations You could think of, after this video was made? Please keep the EB48 2.0 videos coming! ❤️🍻
Thanks for watching Mark, glad it helped you out! One little detail I forgot to mention is that when you fill the diffs with the gears and shafts in the housing there will be air pockets in there unless you let them sit a really long time. Usually the first time you open them back up after driving they will be low on fluid, so it is a good idea to check them after a quick test run and top off if needed.
Love this buggy! Did take a few weekends to get it softened down for the NW tracks. Ended up with softer springs all around and thicker fluid in the diffs, but still not as fast as Ty's for some reason...
I’m having a problem with solder sticking to my motor tabs. I’ve had so much trouble trying to solder the wires to the tabs that now there a rusty color.. is there any tips? Or can I get the motor tabs replaced? Thanks I’m advance
Hi just got the motor and the eb48 2.0. The motor posts line up at an angle. When you talk about clocking the motor to get them straight is there anything I need to consider b4 or after doing that?
I use a combination of mostly MIP and Vanquish tools when it comes to drivers and wrenches. I also use Tekno shock pliers for anything that need a link end threaded onto it. Pliers and cutters I just grab whatever I have laying around.
Well, I haven't broken a single part on my Tekno 1/8 scales, but I always have spares for pretty much the whole car. Bulkheads, arms, hubs, turnbuckles, spur gears, wing and wing stay would cover most of it.
Hi there. I saw your comment and since I’m interested in going this route with my setup... Can you give more info/details On the fails? Did you contact them for warranty and if so, how did that go?
@@markg7393 dont buy, I just came back to hobby and I bought the tekin and I have the same problem that I had 8 years ago, after 4 min, (4 laps) and the esc got fried, now I need to pay to send it and wait to get the ESC back, tekin is a joke, and Im so piss right now, definitely my last tekin that I bought
@@TekinRacing you really need to look it up for this problem, I can’t believe that this happens with new ecs system and this happened to me with 8 years in a part

What do they do for us veterans? I am new to this hobby and looking to get into this and building one of these!?

Depends on the board layout. Keeping our controllers as small as possible is always the goal and that can dictate layout on some of them.
Wish my wire job looked that good 👍
Just takes practice!

Lots of heat and big chisel tip. They need to be pretty hot for the solder to wet and flow to them.
I know this an old vid but I gotta have one of those hoodies 2x please thank you! :)

What tool kit if there is one do you suggest for Tekin builds.

@@TekinRacing one more question if you were to buy a set of spare parts just for the future, what parts would be on the top of your list?

What transmitter are you using
Spektrum DX5 Pro
Does this rc kit come stock with the r8 gen3 motor and rx8 esc????
No, electronics are separate! Kit comes from Tekno, we provide the electronics to make it fast!
Question: since your ESC can do 6s, why not 6s 6500 instead of 4s 6500?
Racing Sanctioning Bodies have settled on 4S as the battery for these cars and this is by far the most popular setup.
Is this the truly t8 or buggy
Macaroni & cheese sleeze
Not sure what that means but I do like me some mac and cheese.
Truggy or buggy t8?
Buggy size 1900KV.
Idk what's going on with the quality of your esc's but mine and 5 other people's died the first few laps around the track....brand new gen 3s....
