A comment was made that the "Sydney Plant Guy' has massive growth on his moss poles. Sydney, Australia, has warm temperatures and being coastal, it will always be temperate, thus, ideal for tropical plants. Sydney Plant Guy can walk around in winter with short sleeves, if he choses. Would he do this in Vancouver? Doubt it!! Fern, your plants look amazing living in a much colder climate. Well done!!!
This! While Sydney’s plants are impressive and he absolutely puts effort into them looking amazing-there’s definitely more to healthy plants than having massive foliage.😄
Sorry I literally always comment on your bird situations but omg your Northern Flicker!!! I have only seen one twice in my life here in the US. I saw one in my backyard last summer and it was like the highlight of my month.
omg no way!! I noticed him here a few weeks ago and ID'd him from my little reference book. He's been back pecking in the grass really often since then lol! so cool :)
From someone that started with wire poles and switched to Rousseau and thiccly ones because of you, don’t do it girl. The moss dries out SO fast. Maybe you’ll have different results since you’re in the PNW but in Arizona, I can’t keep up with watering them. I’m having such an easier time with Rousseau ones. I could never get my plants to root into the wire ones
Same! I live in the PNW and any pole that’s more than 50% open to the air dries out in a single day! I have to do the plastic ones, otherwise it’s just constant upkeep. I have seen people make self watering moss poles but none of them have updates long term, so I’m waiting for that.
I just wrap mine with plastic wrap and pin it at the front so leaves can peek out. I have to water every 4-5 days in the summer and every 3-4 days in winter.
3:47 I hope my Mint goes ok. Last Thursday I was in hospital and while drugged up on morphine I ordered for plants and the Monstera adansonni mint was one of them 😂😅. At least I have good taste when I’m drugged up 😂
This is the way the Sidneyplantguy does his moss poles and his plants are massive in a very short time. He also shows how he does his chop and extend when they reach the top of the pole. I swear he is the plant whisperer.
Always here for a Wildfern video! You are so relaxing to watch after a hard day of work. Love that your imports are doing so good. They are beautiful!! I’m driving up to Canada to plant shop at your house☺️🙋🏽♀️ Beautiful video AS USUAL!
I feel you. I put 3 plants on a DIY small open front mosspole 3 weeks ago (just a peace of clear plastic held in a D-shape by rubber bands and the plant velcro I used to attach the plant). A glorius, white wizzard and majestic (got this one after seeing yours, thought the leaves are soooo beautiful). The poles are just about 30cm/12inch tall and wont last long, but the plan is to cut them into 2-4 parts once they reached the top and pot them together for a fuller plant, or maybe I gonna swap some cuttings for other plants.
Yes all of the albo adansonii (had a total of 6 different plants) that i had reverted all white all different variegation....none of the cuttings lasted because of how much white there was. 🙄
2 months already!! That's crazy 😅 time is flying! And your plants are looking beautiful (I'm only at the intro with them beside you, but they look amazing!) ❤
The plants are beautiful. I'm thinking of doing moss poles for a few of my pothos. What is your recommendation for poles and moss and I love the huge perlite??
I was just listening because I am making a batch of candied jalapeno's.. smells good in here! But now they are canned and have to sit for at least 2 weeks..
I have ordered Internationally twice and none of them have survived. My last order of Hoya from Indonesia was horrible....( 8 plants) only 1 survived. You have the kind of green thumb I'm still trying to get;)
I might need help pls. I really want an adansonii n have been watching videos on care etc but I prefer it when the leaves are small and like the look of it growing in moss pole but Fern said she would put the new one in a pole for bigger leaves is this the case for all of them or just the variegated? Any advice would be appreciated. Happy planting😊
In general for most houseplants, growing up a pole lets the plant continue to root as it climbs which results in bigger leaves. If you like climbing AND small leaves, maybe you could try a stake or trellis instead!
I wish I could afford to get special plants, but my 60yo pension user ,doesn't have funds, like that, but after I pay off my mortgage in June, I can get a few domestic plants a month😊I can't waite, until then I propagated my Chinese evergreen, my Thanksgiving catus,my jade ,pothos, and a my arrowhead, and my polkadot begonia, has taken off like crazy over 2' tall now 3 stems 😊
The most relatable part of this video is when Fern says “long story short” and then still tells us the whole story. 😂😂
🤣🤣 lord help me

Your hair!! 😍 this style and color looks amazing on you
And it grows SO FAST!!!!
Fern, you repot so gracefully. While I assume I look like the Cookie Monster after the last bag of Oreos. 😂😂
✌️🫶🌞
Learning so much from your videos. Thanks for making amazing helpful content. And especially for not speaking fast Your voice is so easy to listen to.
"Spinach vibes" I CACKLED 🤣

I see them out my front window here in Oregon all the time.
This is me when repotting, "Why did I put the soil on the wrong side of me?" Glad to see I'm not the only one!
Florida ghost is definitely on my wishlist 😍
I like the Piper leaves. I hope it bounces back for you... it's pretty ❤❤❤
I 💕 like these kind of videos. I learn so much. Thanks Fern. So fuuunn
Your Florida Ghost are so nice....yes, I think you might consider to pot them together 🤔🌿🌼🌊
You just have a knack for making plants look good. Seriously, it's a blessing. #Inspiration
They acclimated well. Thanks for sharing update Fern!
I always do it that way- strapping it into the pole first
So jealous of the chiapense. I have a regular one and the frosted heart. I just love them. Beautiful
So gratifying watching you pot up those babies! Will now go put my Florida Ghost on a moss pole which is WAY OVERDUE! Thanks Fern 👏🏼👌🏼
The variegation on that syngonium is magnificent!
Update videos are my favourite 💚💚💚
Your videos highlight my day always ❤❤❤❤
You look so beautiful with your hair like that! I love it.
Thank you so much 😊

I bought a little metal ice scoop for my soil! Highly recommend 🙌🏻
Perfect way to start my day! Just in time to watch while I enjoy my coffee 🥰

Ugh I can’t get over that Variegated Chiapense. It’s one of those plants that’s so beautiful it almost looks fake 😅
Another vid! Great way to start the day ☕🪴
happy Monday ☺️🌿
We would love to send you some of our plant supports to try out! You will love them we promise! ❤
I checked out your poles, so cool! You should try them out Fern 👍🏻 considering ordering them.

Your adensonii is really beautiful
Can u do a video on how to import plant, website, or seller to go for? Paper work ect.
Where do you get your sphagnum moss? It’s so gorgeous and long😊❤
Hey Fern 👋
Could I ask where you ordered your chunky perlite from?
I’m on the east coast of Canada and I can only find the tiny stuff
How do you keep your moss poles moist? That’s what I struggle with the most I feel like they get bone dry in like a day 😢
Same 🙄😅
What size poles are the ones you used …love your videos
Another great video. Just a thought for a future duplicate plant, do a giveaway for all your subscribers 💜
I also have piper propagation problems. I love them so much but jeeze.
Heya where did you get your clear plant support from?
What kind of moss do you use? Yours looks so nice compared to what I can get
Did they come with bugs or are they getting it from your place even with being isolated?
Look at them go!!! 🎉❤
FERN, You need to invest in a Soil Scoop!❤
I do!! I have one in my DIY mix bin, but I need to get a smaller one for my Molly's bags 😁
Do you fertilize your plants in perlite ? I love your videos so much !!!!!

Hi Fern, where do you get your course peralite? Thanks.
What did you use to get rid of flat mites?
Safer’s End All Miticide :)
The corners of your TV make you look like you have lil kitty ears 😹

Silly question…Does anyone know what the size of the pots she is using?
5 inch :)
Put some raw honey, and cinnamon even if it has rooted ,it speeds growth,at least for me 😊
*good vibes sent!*
Are those clear nursery pots on your amazon? I'm having a hard time finding the larger ones.
They’re from Houseplant Essentials! Linked in description :)
