I watched your hoya repotting video while doing hoya repotting myself. :) Thank you for all the tips & tricks. Please don't stress when you dogs are walking around. 99.99% of us don't give a shit.. This is your life, you don't need to adjust anything. We love it.
Fern, you are so lucky to be living next to a water creek. Nature right at your doorstep!!!! Hoyas are so underrated. Put them on a trellis and they look amazing!!!! I've also heard hoyas like to be placed anti-clockwise on the trellis. I would love to know the reason why? I hope your Hoyas all bloom. Keep us updated on their progress!!!
I just want to say. This is only the third video of your I’ve watched. This is my fav so far. I’m being serious when I say this… between watching you work with your beautiful plants and the music you were playing while you worked. I could seriously fall in love with you. Plants have been a passion of mine my entire life. I currently own 15 plants but, I am very particular about the ones I have bought. There will always be a special place in my heart for plants. I also keep reptiles who also hold a special place in my heart. Thank you so much for sharing your love for your plants and doing it in such a way that touched my heart. Your channel has become my favorite. Thank you 🙏 🥰🥰
Hi Fern! I really enjoy watching your cosy and chatty repotting / plant care videos, especially the long ones! Your content helps me immensely in a way of body doubling because of my ADHD when I have to get things done (not only planty stuff) or help me relax after a long shift as a nurse on a cardiac icu 🙃🫠 you really put an extra amount of "cosy vibes" effort in your work and I really appreciate it!💚🌿
I’m with you on loving all of the Hoya plants. I was really hoping that Plant Haven Toronto was going to restock Hoya Wilbur Graves but I’m still really happy with the 2 Hoyas that I ordered from them 💚
So lovely and relaxing to watch! I love how delicate and caring you are when you repot your plants! Alsoooo cute sweater!! Looks good with your hair and skin tone! 💚🌿
I also have a Stenophylla I got from Plant Haven Toronto. I put mine in a terrarium because it looked so fragile and I thought that its roots were probably not very big. I have had it less than a month. I agree taking moss off of hoya roots is difficult and it is easy to pull off roots with the moss. Your weather looks like the weather we have been having in Idaho.
I just wanna say I have been loving all the Hoya content lately!!! Can’t wait for the updates on these. Back in October 2023 I kinda “redid” my houseplant collection and pretty much sold or got rid of everything that wasn’t Hoya lol! You can say I’ve been bite by the Hoya bug. I kept a few others but not many. My collection is definitely 90% Hoya now and I’m loving it!!! 🥰😌🌱🪴🌺
Pon is my favorite hoya medium. My Hoyas LOVE it! A little moss on the roots is fine, I usually use dynomyco on the roots to help prevent shock and it's always been a flawless transition. Highly recommend!
Fern!! I’m obsessed with Hoyas right now too!! I literally went right to Etsy and bought that variegated Polyneura as soon as you showed yours. Holy cow that’s beautiful!!! 🤩 loved this video!
your plant prep for spring has inspired me to finally get some of my plants going on moss poles! i order some from rousseau and am excited to finally start getting my plants started in the direction i want them to be! thank you for the lovely video
While you’re working to get the moss off of one, you could have the next one already soaking so you didn’t have to wait on them to get wet! Just a thought.
Love love that cute drip pot! I think any plant would look fab in that one. For my variegated hoya compacta, I bought it and put it under the barrina T5 lights and it’s already growing. My set up is the same in terms of having 2 x T5 barrina lights per shelf and the variegated one is loving life ;)
Hi Fern. Love the Hoya’s. My husband makes wire trellises for me,to make the class stay on,I wrap macramé cord around it,but only to the soil level so it doesn’t g wet or dirty,it’s great for clips and even the vines to attach to the trellis. To get a really neat shape get a pipe or anything round and bend the wire around that to get that nice curve @the top of trellis. It saves a lot of $$ and you get the customized hight and even width. 💚🪴🌿🇦🇺
My Hoya aerial roots used to “grab on” to their bamboo poles/hoops, I’ll be very interested to see if they do it on these acrylic ones because they are niiiiice 😍
Okay, so I was looking up the Kalimantan to find one for myself and I learned there is both a sp Kalimantan of both clementsorium AND callistophylla. I believe yours is the latter. ❤❤ both BEAUTIFUL Hoya.
That’s interesting g. I always do them the other way around. Except with a round pot, just turn it half way around and then it’s on the counter clockwise rotation.
I love your variegated hoyas. The only one i have is hoya curtsii and they are taking forever. Hopefully when spring hits they will take off. I have ine in moss snd one in soil
I totally understand the “Hoya roots in moss too long” issue. I left some cuttings in moss for 9 months and didn’t have the energy to get them out so I cut off all the roots and just re-rooted in water 😭😂💚
Yay! I love these types of videos. Especially now because I very much need to repot about.... 6 (at least) plants. I've had the new pots sitting out for so long, to remind me. Lol. Might do it after this video! 💚🪴🐝-Bee
Repotting really does feel amazing 😂 I feel that 😅 I have such a busy schedule right now and I need to find some time to fit some repots in 🤍🧘♀️✨ Great video as always girl 🌿
I've fallen down the Hoya rabbit hole in the past couple of months ❤😅 I've added multiple into my collection & I'm absolutely obsessed!! Super excited for this one! I'm not familiar with repotting Hoyas, or Hoya behaviour in general yet😅
I’ve found that some Hoya take 2-4yrs to develop a significant root system. It will not put out new growth until it has that root system. I think it’s worth the wait, given the plant seems to take off once established, but the slow growers aren’t for everyone.
If your hoyas are taking that long, they're either lacking light or water... No hoyas should take years to take off, no matter how slow the specie is! 3-4 months at most, and that's for a very small minority.
Question: Why did you cut off the top of the vine of the one you put in semi-hydro? Will you prop that part too? I love your videos and appreciate all the tips! 💚
When you know the words to songs only heard on Ferns videos 😅 Hoyas propogate great in semi hydro. Id just pop the cutting back into the top to root if the plant is in pon
Hi Fern! I am a new subscriber and semi beginner to houseplants, I am looking for advice on picking a young thai constellation! my local shop has a nice selection of about 9 different plants in 3 inch pots and they all have at least 5 leaves for 59$ USD. Is that a good price? they look really good. should I get one with the most variegation? or should I get the most green plant to maximize the chloryphyl and energy production? help please 😅😭
Hey! Thanks for watching & welcome to my channel 🤗 as for the Thai, I think that’s a pretty great deal! I paid $60 for mine (before prices skyrocketed) and it was basically a seedling. As for the variegation, thais are pretty slow growers regardless so I would just choose whatever look appeals to you more 😊 the great thing about them is that the variegation is stable so they will never revert to all green. Good luck growing your new monstera! 🫶
I have a question…I just ordered 3 Hoyas and I want to remove the soil and move it to pon. Do I need to root them in moss or water first and should I wait a while before doing it?
These are small starter plants from Etsy if that helps. By the way thank you for your videos. They make me want to do planty things. I blame you for my plant addiction. Lol
hii, I love your videos, they are my favourite every week! I just wanted to ask if maybe you could change or shorten your outro music? i love watching your videos all the way to the end and always don't feel so good, when the last sentence of your outro song ist " I couldn't even if I tried", idk its not manifesting the best I think 🙃 nonetheless, I love your videos and you as well :)
Hey Fern it's Jason hope you're having an amazing Tuesday I built a new plant stand at work today and it looks very nice love to show it to you do you have an X account. 👍🙂👋💯

It is so pretty how she also curates her windows cause she doesn’t just stuff them with plants.
Even down here in NZ, hoya seems to want to grow anti-clockwise
I can hear the rain and hail on the video! WOW!!
Could you do a video showing off your carnivorous plant collection? ❤
Yes!! :)
I love this hoya repot! Don't be afraid to single node those polyneura cuttings - mine root super quickly in water. More vines faster!
Fern when you were doing a tour in a previous video you appear to be a very organized person. Very beautiful plants and home
Your nail polish looks so nice with your tattoos!

My Hoya krohniana and variegated compacta both bloomed for the first time this week 🥰🙏🏽 I'm loving all the Hoya content!
Thank you, Fern. The camera you used is chef's kiss!
thank you so much 🥰
Hi Fern, I absolutely love your channel and I love the cozy repots!!
I’ve been loving Hoya too! They are truly one of my absolutely favorite kinds of plants!!

Awww thanks girl 🥹 I figured I’d squeeze in wearing this sweat a couple more times before it gets too warm 😃
stopping everything to watch the hail is the most canadian thing i’ve ever seen you do 😂 my family and i do the exact same thing!

awh the sad music makes me sad. Hugs to everyone sad. Thank you for your beautiful spirit Fern 💜💜💜
I love hoya's! We got 8+ inches snow last night - it was a winter wonderland!!!
My internet stopped working for a few days and the thing I missed most were your videos! So happy I can finally watched them!!🤩
Oh this is sooo sweet to hear, thank you for being here and watching 🥺💓
You literally described how it was here in the NW today.... Happy planting! Thanks for the video!
Yes, it's been hailing where I live in Washington too!
I love this Hoya repot video. My favorite species. A long with the ficus. I’ve got 8 ficus and I can’t wait for them to get bigger.

Enjoyed the repotting thanks for sharing Fern!
Loved this video. 🥰 in my experience polyneura like more water than other hoya and less light. That’s what keeps mine happy and they grow like crazy 😊
Yes I agree! Thank you so much for watching 😊
That variegated Polyneura is just stunning. Loved the video 😊
When it rains it pours....hails 😊
You are pumping out so many vids! Im here for it 🙌🏼

Hi Fern nice to see you ❤😊

Really appreciate you watching 😊🌿
I've fallen down the Hoya rabbit hole in the past couple of months ❤😅
I've added multiple into my collection & I'm absolutely obsessed!!
Super excited for this one!
I'm not familiar with repotting Hoyas, or Hoya behaviour in general yet😅
yay I'm glad I'm not down this rabbit hole alone hahah 😁
Not gonna lie I screamed when you cut the polyneura. You are so much braver than me
awe haha it's for the best! it will be a nicer plant in the long run 😃 I understand though lol!
We need a Hoya collection update 🥲💕💕
Have you seen Hoya Decipulae flowers!? 😮😲 They are soooo rad!

Hey fern Great INTRO!! lol super aesthetic & professional 💚✨️
Thank you so much ☺️
I have been hyperfixated on Hoya lately 😍🫠 they’re just too good!!
When you know the words to songs only heard on Ferns videos 😅
Hoyas propogate great in semi hydro. Id just pop the cutting back into the top to root if the plant is in pon
Fern that rain looks like hail or snow mixed in with the rain
hoya hoya hoya 💚💚💚💚
…hell yeah 🙌😊😛
yessss 😍 thanks for watching! x
Hoya ❤
Nice intro, love the editing!
Ahhh when you cut that polyneura I held my breath! 😅 but it’s going to come out beautiful just like your linearis has. 💚
What is the water you put in pon?
where do you buy them from?
Do you use the diatomaceous earth on all your plants at as preventative? Or is it cost prohibitive?
Are the leaves supposed to be that yellow color. Or is it inner variegated?
The homemade trellis looks better.
Luv ya kiddo!

Stop answering my questions before I can finish typing them. I was asking trellis or trailing when you decided to trellis them.
Do you have a video on Hoya for beginners? I want to place my order from Planthaven Toronto but not sure what to get. lol 🪴🪴🪴💚💚💚
