Thanks jqtomlin for posting this brilliant song from a wonderful artist. When I heard this on 'Circle 11' all those years ago it opened up my mind to a whole new spectrum of country music!
I pass thru Lost River all the time, my Ma lives nearby! First heard this song years ago on the Will the Circle album, but the penny didn't drop right away that it was the same one.
My heart is pleased - I send you link to one movie about one Czeck river which is lost now because there is lake with drinking water. Before this it was the best shire for weekend trips during deep totality. In the movie was used song Lost river from Michael Martin Murphy. Enjoy it ;-)
WHY??...is there not a better recording of this Gem,...I agree with JrAndrew,...Its good to find it,....but thats about it,.....this song deserves,.a whole site,...
hey jqtomlin , just a helpful hint on your bad audio from the VHS,, Run your audio out from your VHS into a 10 band graphic equalizer , then from there ,into an "after " audio booster amp , start running your VHS , listen to your audio in your monitor and start cleaning it up by adjusting your levels on the equalizer. Once it is clear and NOT muffled, then slowly boost your audio gain on your after booster amp until it is at a DECENT level and then re start your VHS and then upload CHEERS !!
Mark O'Connor, Vassar, Clements, Hoot Hester, wow the best 3 fiddle players around anywhere. Add Jerry , Roy Huskie Jr. what have you got. The best bluegrass ever played. mosrite60
aaaaa.......remember when people wrote real music? I'm so glad I wasn't born years later than I was. I would have probably grown up thinking today's trashy sound is cool. I love how unpretentious Mike Murphey is.
WOW!!!!!! GORGEOUS!!!!!! They really don't make 'em like this anymore Just Beautiful!!!!!! Thumbs Up If You Agree.
I like Jeff Hanna & Michael Martin Murphey SO much (all the guys did great!!
