Great song. But it almost sounds like a recording, no? twin fiddles and pedal steel not seen on stage. am I wrong here? Jerry played great dobro, but it sounds pedal steel to me. mosrite60
Yes. What struck me was that it seems EXACTLY like a full backtrack (and vocals?) of the CD version (NGDB: Circle 2). But, I don't think lip-synching of the primary vocalist was allowed on ACL.
It's an awesome song and Paulette Carlson has more country tradition in her pinky finger than Carrie Underwood & Taylor Swift have combined.!
Paulette looks like a country music version of an angel.
I love everything she sings...Wonderful..
This is what country music is supposed to sound like.
Glad to have it, friend ... thank you! I will love Paulette 'till the Lord comes back, and then for another thousand years!
I know the feeling thanks for sharing,Keith
Shes so fluffy! Love her!!
One of the entertainers of all time
Amazing

It's called Country Music
Thanks for the post! I prefer the version with Paulette and Levon Helm. I love the very young Jerry Douglas.
And Mark O’Connor
love it!
Do you have the whole taping of the show when Highway 101 was on Austin City Limits?
Great!
I LIKE LOVING ON THE SIDE SONG
When country music was country
Jimmy is so cute and sexy .. he should have gotten more credit in this group .
Sounds pretty much like serving she'd do with highway 101.

nope, they're just THAT good at replicating the original.
What you're hearings is a blend of the fiddle and Dobro together recorded in stereo.
Quality not that bad.
What year is this please? :) thx for the vid 🙏
