Those Musician's are as good as it gets there are more we could certainly mention....this album remains in the highest regards of my heart and soul....so many great human beings so special in the truths they sang about...Thank You...jd
Some of the best compilations with other performers back in the day when people enjoyed sharing their talent with other performers creating amazing work!
The two best string bands EVER. Wonder where John McKuen was? Don't see him onstage at all, but there's Randy Scruggs--I just KNEW that was his lead picking. So cool to see a performance of the very recording we have and realize my guess was right! Thanks so much for posting this!
jq, you've got nothing to apologize for, it's just nice that you have the VHS of it. I saw New Grass Revival live about this period and it's great to relive that memory.
I could never understand the lyrics as a kid but now that I'm older I still don't understand. According to my Dad, "Jerusalem Moan"ed when they realized they killed the messiah and know they're going to hell for it. This beat is a lot of fun but those lyrics seem to be (essentially) mocking people in a "Haha, you're going to hell and we're not" -kinda way. Am I misunderstanding something here?
benchpresser356 .....just joking coming home in 68 I lost a bunch of good jobs over that very thing for almost a decade to change it in big ol hip love music Austin Texas but we did it ....ztill need a hIar cut lol what a great group of musician's they absolutely kicked doors in for a bunch of pickers some of the new artist are very aware of the level they can reach due to the ol folks of music ...hello preety beach ...ol couple way down in tx....

Wonderful! Randy Scruggs sighting 2:15.❤ Great performance by everyone!🎉🎉🎉
Outstanding redition of this classic song. Peace!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ to everyone on that stage! A-1 talent! They will all go down in history!

LOVE this song, haven’t thought of it in ages. And I’ve never seen the New Grass boys at this stage in their careers, a real treat.
Very tight!❤

As time passes the I realize what a great cutting edge group this was. Some of the best musicans in the business.
Putting the two together is awesome. excellent.
I never ever thought I'd see this again. Thanks very much
Nobody can keep from movin' right along with this music. Now this is a spiritual for sure.
Very Nice. Thanks for the memories jqtomlin.

I have a video of this particular episode of Austin City Limits when Circle 2 came out...great album and this was good as well
I wish this song was longer ❤️❤️❤️😎
many thanx for posting--we love it
Awesome harmonies
Wow. They are great.
@hrhqueene John probably was not on stage due to Bela Fleck from NGR on banjo on this tune.
I have this on VHS too :)
The late, great Junior Husky on bass!
Thank you
At the time this was the "younger" generation of pickers. Thank God for all of them! Randy, Bela, Sam and Pat. They all rock!
oldie but goodie...so says spider
So sad to have to add "the late-great" to Randy Scruggs at 1:59 here. Died just 6 years after his father Earl.
Folks talk about rock guitar players, but few of them can keep up with Pat Flynn and Randy Scruggs. Think you're good? Try it on an acoustic!
good stuff
Oh Holy Fucking YEAH!!! These guys rocked my WORLD way back then!!

The goods!
Super Good Music
John Cowan!!
Who is the singer on the mike with Jeff? He's got some pipes! Is it, John Cowan?
Randy Scruggs!!
R.I.P. He will be missed.
It's funny
They miss the cynicism of the original completely. Great music though.
Jerusalem is a fictional place
They need a haircut
does there hair effect how good they sing you need a real life
Randal Lindsay: I culdn't agree more the voice is where it's all at! An the hair was an still is a catcher as well!
