    my period is literally the only think I'm worried about. I'm kind of a tom boy so I don't need make up and I can do without jewelry and my hair is in a pixie cut. I'm legit so nervous about periods cause I've heard so many awful stories of people bleeding through

      I’m 14 also and my dad was in the military and I’m from a military family and I don’t know of any member of my dads family who wasn’t in it. And I wanna join when I’m older.
      A guy came to our school and asked for a raise of hands who wanted to join the military and some guys rose their hands and no girls did and I wanted too but I was nervous of what people would’ve thought.
      I told one of my friends and they’re proud of my choice.
      When I told my dad he was proud and said he’d beat my a** if I didn’t join the Air Force because he doesn’t want me to get seriously hurt😂gotta love him
      Thanks for the advice and loved the video ❤️

    I’m really nervous to join any branch of military because of my fear of public speaking. I’m an introvert so I don’t really like the fact of having to speak and yell so much. But I guess I can put up with doing it if everyone around me does it with me. But will there be times you have to speak out loud or present anything on your own. Besides that I’m really fit and athletic, but everyone has a weakness.

      people tell me all the time' girls aren't usually in the military', and 'if you like wearing make up and getting girly then your not tough enough for the military' but I enjoy being girly and pretty sometimes and enjoy being tough and roughing around.you don't have to choose between the two.and the hard stuff and getting dirty can be done by females just as good as the males, if not better.so to all you haters out there saying crap like this, get your facts straight first.

      Yes. In the army they do something called split ops. You can join at 17 and leave for Basic the summer after junior year and come back for senior year and then go to your AIT after you graduate. I'm not 100 if you can do it for active or just reserves but talk to a recruiter.

    Navy has AD, Reserve, FTS (Full Time Support), etc. If you're not fit before bootcamp, you'll be fine. that's what bootcamp is for, you just have to be within weight/BCA standards. The Navy is just like a regular job you have bosses, you have people under you and you have peers, and it's not always just people telling you what to do...besides bootcamp.

    I'm 14 years old a freshman in high School and I've been thinking about joining the military for 2 years now and I just wanted to know more indept about the physical training like the limit or how many push ups and sit ups is need to do so that I'm fully prepared I'd rather be prepared then walk into something I may regret so any advice? Oh and you spoke about tattoos what about piercings in any other part of the body besides the war
    ~Thank you for the video and in comments if any

    • @laneevitt5425
      @laneevitt5425 6 лет назад

      hey I'm currently going into the military myself. It's a good idea to be physically fit, I recommend taking PE all 4 years of high school. My school offers many different level PE classes, Depending on what branch of military you go in has different requirements for how many push ups and sit ups you need to be able to do. Marines, Navy Seals, and army are the ones that require you to be extremely fit with marine boot camp being the hardest boot camp. If you want to go into the navy or air force you have to be decently fit. I'm personally thinking about going into the navy or marines but before you decide what branch take the ASVAB test when you are 17. if you score low you can take it again too. but after you get ur ASVAB score talk to recruiter's from each branch and ask them what jobs you can get in that branch with your score. Again depending on what branch you go into has different requirements with piercings. you can't have any body piercings or anymore than your first lube piercing. some branches don't even allow any piercings too.

      Valeria Martinez it's pretty much like a buffet except there are people there to give you the portion and there's no going back lol. So u just tell them what you want and go through the line. I'm starting to study now and take practice tests now but I'm just worried I wont score high enough.. please let me know ! And here's a random question as well lol are you allowed to tweeze or wax your eyebrows and upper lip in during basic training? And if you don't have your phone? Is there really any down time to write letters to your family or friends back home ?

      yes you can retake the ASVAB :) AND YES you are allowed to bring tweezers but not wax. also, they will give you atleast an hour a day to write back to your family♡ ANDD if you bring a couple of paper and keep it in your pocket, whenever you are waiting, ofcourse not in formation, you will be able to write.

    To add to what Angel Nguyen said. I was in Air Force Basic Training back in 2013 and graduated Tech school the same year. I got deployed for 6 months in 2016. Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marines work together in deployment to complete missions. If you're wondering what branch you should join, ask yourself what job would you like to do BEST and then decide which branch can best accommodate that. If you like to be part time military like Angel and myself you should look in to Reserves or National Guard (Army or Air Force).

    Not from the states, but loved the helpful tips for basic training on Army. I've been meaning to look more into my own branches and maybe join. I would say that another great tip would be to join Cadets/ JROTC before hand if you're young enough to join. Its great fun, and it makes you more familiar with how things are run. Not sure about Marines or Coast Guard, but Navy, Air, and Army all should have some type of cadet corp, in which case sea cadets would be a best bet for Marines or Coast Guard.

    The physical requirement and fitness levels should be identical for men and women in the military.

    • @brooklyn8624
      @brooklyn8624 7 лет назад +5

      DJolls 18 shouldn't be though, different anatomy, how would you expect them to be the same?

    • @brooklyn8624
      @brooklyn8624 7 лет назад +4

      DJolls 18 both should be fit and such but not the exact same, just such different bodies.

    • @djolly3438
      @djolly3438 7 лет назад +1

      Brook Morrison well if a woman has an easier Stength and fitness course, I have no faith that she could have my back in a conflict. Give me a man who can actually hold his own and not someone who's anatomically weaker

    • @brooklyn8624
      @brooklyn8624 7 лет назад +3

      DJolls 18 I (a woman) agree with that, we should have just as difficult of training, but maybe different styles, just to suit the differences between the male and female body.

    The only thing I'm worried about is my period pain. I'm going through AF ROTC. My bleeding is minimal, but I get intense cramps, throwing up, and near fainting (from pain) and get cramps about a week or so before I start bleeding. The problem is medication doesn't work, unless I'm trying to nearly overdose. In general this is a issue for me because there's no way I can take off for a week every month of a job. Hopefully I can at least get a diagnosis for my problem and look at solutions :P

      Find yourself a good recruiter. Look at all of your options. Active duty, reserves, national guard. Look at the benefits each have to offer. If you want to go to college, then consider guard or reserves. Don't sign any contracts unless you have everything that you want out of the army. Don't let shitty ass recruiters talk you into becoming a mechanic because it comes with a sign-on bonus when you really want to be something else. Use your brain. Look at ALL your options including others branches.
      I followed all those rules and I got everything I wanted out of the Army... I'm shipping out in one week. Good luck.

    Hi !! I have been considering the army for a few years now, in particular military police. I recently talked to a recruiter and took my asvab, I scored at 59, and a 200 on my Skilled Technical, so I qualify on those ends, and also a couple other jobs I am considering.. recently I talked to a few girls who are in the reserves and they're convinced that I won't make it in military police as a medium sized female (5'3 135 pounds). What are your opinions on female military police ? Also, I met once with my recruiter and now I keep trying to get ahold of him but can't. I have also tried to stop by his office but he hasn't been there.. I graduate in June and I really need to figure out what I am doing, any suggestions on what I should do ? I promise last question lol. My goal is to go active duty, but I also want to further my education too. I know you weren't active duty, but do you know anyone who has went active duty and has gone to school at the same time ?! Thank you for any and all feedback you can give. 😊 I really appreciate it.

    • @missangelmae
      @missangelmae  7 лет назад +1

      so i worked with military police when i was with the army, and there are girls that are small that do just fine, your height and weight has nothing to do with how you perform your job! you will shoot ALOT M4's (rifle) and M9's(pistol) and you will do ALOT of field training, just a heads up! AND you will get pepper sprayed(in your unit) and tazed (in basic training). with active duty, you can definitely still go to college but you will have to do your school work when you have free time after work. i have a friend that is active duty and she is taking online classes bc she can't go to lectures since she's working full time. she only takes 1-2 classes per semester though so if you decide to go to school, it will take you a while to graduate but its doable! hope i answered all your Q's :)
