    In Australia that rear concealed licence plate is instant impoundment of your bike and a huge fine and conviction for "attempting to conceal" which is a 12 month licence suspension.

  • @harshambaliya8649

    Beautiful bike,people keep saying that it woobles a lot and front suspension is not that good but I feel it can be ignored on d basis of its looks and ergos.Also d neat look from behind and that pipe puts this bike on another level

    • @jedcsh1
      @jedcsh1  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! Yeah, the stock suspension isn't the highlight of this bike. But really only 20% of riders who push this thing to the limits will notice that. Worth upgrading though if that's in your sights

    Absolutely brilliant! This will always be one of the most attractive bikes, no matter the model year. Have you seen the Japanese cowls, hull covers, and wind deflector from webike? If all goes well, I'll get this bike, add some of those parts, and live happily ever after.

    • @jedcsh1
      @jedcsh1  Год назад

      Yes, in the last couple years there have been many new 3rd party accessories for these bikes. More and more to choose from to make it customizable! Get hte bike if you can, it's faster than anything you'd want on 2 wheels for public streets

    The black piece you painted under the seat, any special paint needed? No issues with it peeling off? Thanks.

      Nope, I just used a Krylon Satin black paint/primer spray can. Think I did about 5-6 coats, no issues

      @@jedcsh1 I was after an alternative to back breaking R1's and giant MT-10's and saw this video. I am in Australia. Next day I find this 2020 special edition factory Yamaha 60th anniversary version used with 3,000 miles on it and it is AMAZING!!!!! Thank you for doing your video as I had no idea Yamaha Japan made this rare version. And you don't need to change the rear muffler because it sounds fantastic stock. The most unique Yamaha engine. 3 cylinder AND 270 degree Crossplane R1 crank design. It has so much torque from 2,000 rpm it blows my mind. I never rev mine past 4,000 rpm. Cheers.

    Wicked bike bro. Now that im back at university(college)and commuting daily traffic, i'm selling my Harley for o e of these. There are 2 on our version of ebay, either a 2020 or 2021 in this paint scheme here in New Zealand. Every mod you have done is extremely complimentary to the look of the bike. Before watching your video, I had already decided to get a nice tail tidy that removes that tail light. An exhaust, bracket that lowers the dash and sliders. You've definitely giving me more ideas now. I was waiting to see if the bars were aftermarket or modified, they look great. Lastly, as our rules are quite strict here, I'll need a rear reflector...what do you think a reflective number plate surround would look like?

    • @jedcsh1
      @jedcsh1  Год назад

      Yo- sorry this took me a while to see. I don't check YT too often. Cool! the bike was pretty much unchanged from 2017 until the latest generation release, so either the 2020 or 2021 would be practically identical. If a rear reflector is required, I'd definitely say around the number plate or somehow integrated with mirroring sides of the number plate would be best. I'm a sucker for symmetry and aesthetics!
      Hope you checked out the latest one of my videos where I've changed the bike....uhhh. a lot more!

    14L tank is massive mate what are you saying it’s small !! Lol

    • @jedcsh1
      @jedcsh1  3 года назад

      LOL! Massive compared to some smaller bikes I suppose. But for an 850cc motor it doesn't last long. I have to refill about every 120 miles.

    nice ride sir i jus got a '17 version thats the brushed aluminum tank look.... i agree 100% with your statement and modification to your brushed look was out of place.... on mine it looks ok (still not my favorite aspect of the bike lol) but not the only brushed bits on the whole ride like yers was... other than modifying aggressively the spaceship in tow tail section and turn signal delete i have just been riding mine and enjoying the super whisper quiet factory exhaust lmao ( my first bike in over 20 years i didnt throw at least a slip on before it got tagged lmao)

    • @jedcsh1
      @jedcsh1  3 года назад

      Right on dude! Yeah, the brushed aluminum accents are cool, but depending on the color and other modifications, can seem really out of place and awkward. From first sight of this bike I saw how it could look lower and longer, rather than short and tall in stock form. Been working in that direction ever since. Happy riding !

    Dude. I live in the same town. We really do have some if the best roads to ride. Thinking about buying the same bike to use as a commuter as a second bike to my Harley after someone stole parts off it at the mall. What are your thoughts of it daily
    ? Trying to decide between the 700 or 900. And if it would be better to go with the MT.

    Did you do a modified DB killer? If so, what did you modify?

    • @jedcsh1
      @jedcsh1  3 года назад +1

      Yes, modified DB killer. The insert pipes were cut to create more of a resonance chamber = lower grunt and more volume.

    Nice video. Looks just like New Zealand there! I'm considering the 2021 in black, but also considering the street triple R. Did you consider the Triumph bike when you where looking at bikes? Cheers.

    • @jedcsh1
      @jedcsh1  3 года назад

      Nice! Would love to visit NZ someday. I had looked a little at the street triple R, but never got a chance to test ride one (nor did I test ride the XSR before buying it). But it really came down to aesthetics and my plans for how to customize it. I'd had a couple yamaha's in the past and went with my gut. Would die for a triumph someday though
