When i put a small front windshield, it made a HUGE difference. Im about to buy the Fat swallow handlebars, and i think that will also help with how hard it can be to ride this bike at higher speeds
@mafic 09 Honestly thought about those for a while. If I end up changing the bars again at this point, I'd likely go to a clip-on set that's adjustable. Clubmans are badass for looks, but impractical for tailoring the bike to the rider and riding style
I do ride an xsr900 from time to time and it always makes me feel like an elderly gent in the community😄.Its retro looks definitely gets me the funk from my other bikes. Great video, nice polished bike mate!
Big appeal of this bike is exactly what you just described. It's classic, but modern. It catches eyes of old gear-heads but can embarrass many new crotch rockets - all while the rider having more fun than anyone's ever had on a motorcycle.
Thanks! Decals were a culmination of what was easiest to gather. I had already designed and ordered a number of "XSR 900" vinyl decals from DIYDecal, so had some of those to spare. The white stripe was purchased at Autozone...originally intended for a Ford Mustang side stripe. I actually bought it thinking I'd just use it as an idea placer for a more permanent wrap or custom decal, but after placing it on I thought it looked decent enough to keep ;)
No it doesn't drone with the baffle in (the one I drilled holes in). Anything cut more than that one and of course running no baffle at all makes it very loud and drone-y.
@@jedcsh1ive Cut mine like the one you run the most, just a little longer inside the pipe, and it sounds amazing. Does it make it louder the more i Cut it on the inside. Another question mate! Handlebar position ? Are u using the standard handlebars or aftermarket ?

@@jedcsh1 Just watched this. I laughed for half an hour. I also have a 2020 Yamaha XSR900 in dynamic white/red scheme. 100% stock. Thanks! Corbin seat is nice and plush. I typically only put it on when I ride 2 up. The extra height in the rear creates a lot more leg room for the passenger and the backrest is an added plus for her being able to relax more. She definitely sits much higher up...a little unnerving for her at first. She said she felt much more exposed and vulnerable, but it only took a few miles of riding to start getting used to it. The leather is definitely more slick than the stock seat as well, so be aware of that. I personally don't favor the look of it over the stock seat because of how awkwardly tall it is in the rear, but it's perfect for riding 2 person. The solo gunfighter seat they make is cool but still a little too bulky looking for my liking. I do plan on getting a custom seat for when I'm riding solo. hope this helps.
What type of custom seat job are you thinking? Materials, suppliers, etc. -I’m picking a red 2018 up this week and want to do custom seat so any info helps
That MF is cherry as Fk man it kinda reminds me of the RD’s that my older homeboys used to ride up and down City Terrace Drive in East Los Angeles CA . That ride is cherry ✌️😎👍🛵🏍️💯
Got the 320mm rotor kit from a company in the UK, spacers got from a supplier in Oregon or Washington state, and the Rotors from Sportbike Track Gear. I'll go through and start adding links to the list of mods in the description
Incredible! This is the video I've been looking for. Bought a 2019 XSR900, and I've been looking for mods. Great job!

I had a windscreen as well for a little while, ended up not liking it. Created too much buffeting for me. Love the handle bars though!
The OEM tank panels are all aluminum for all the first gen XSRs. :)
Just got a 2020 XSR900 a few weeks ago and your first mod walkaround vid gave me ideas on what to do with the bike. Great to see an updated mods vid!

I have a red XSR but looking at yours it's like we have two different bikes. Those gold wheels are a way better match than my black wheels.
