becker, so ahead of his time. He would even shit on guitarists today.
easily
Shawn lane tho
@@jamesmoore4320 well, you see
Even the most technical of todays guitar players have to stay still to play highly intricate stuff live…..Jason…as we can witness here…..is putting on a show, moving everywhere while playing all those lines like it was nothing…
Marty’s solos were pretty fuckin sick in this
This footage is gold...thank you whoever thought to record this.
5:53 Greatest moment ever
the singer of cacophony disliked this, lol
Marty's claw hand is freaking me the hell out.
2:01 that was the craziest sound i heard on a guitar
How he did that?
Never take what you have for granted, it can all be taken away at any time.
Jason Becker is THE guitar GOD!!!
This video is a very unique and priceless document. Jason Becker is incredible
Jason Becker is just another level with respect to any other. Only Shawn Lane did impress me as him.. would love to have seen them playing together
High level master Jason Becker
Wow I wonder if anyone there truly realized how special it was to be there that evening? I never knew they actually got a chance to play these songs live before. What a great video thanks for the priceless upload! Also very impressed with how close to the album version this song was!
Gold!
No one will top Jason composing wise. Or in being able to pick so fast so precisely and sound amazing doing it. His technique is immaculate.
Yeah, him and Shawn Lane were untouchable on their primes. Very tied on speed (18nps) and technique. Been studying them carefully for a very long time :D
@@madden7732
Finally someone said it exactly the way it is...
Shawn Lane.
Jason Becker.
And now, I think we have Max Ostro.
compositionwise could be subjective, but there are a LOT of players that can pick faster and more precisely. Even at his time, you had Paul Gilbert, Shawn Lane and Michael Angelo, a bit more recently you would have Mile Orlando, Rusty Cooley and Kiko Loureiro and nowadays you have guys like Anton Oparin, Yo Onytian and Jason Richardson.
I guess you could even add Petrucci and Brando Ellis to that list. Jason was definitely not the best picker in his era
@@98danielray I like Jason and Paul’s palm muted attack sound they get from picking. Sure there are players who can pick faster. Especially Shawn lane who is just beyond comprehension. I guess maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about but I love the sound of his picking more than a lot of players who play really fast.
pretty sure I was at that show...we drove up from San Diego and saw them...that night we partied at our hotel room after with the singer Peter!
Wow... crazy history man!
You are lucky to have witnessed this show.
esto es oro puro
Extremely talanted composer and guitar master!
never made it on a cacophony record but jason did do his version of it on perpetual burn.
And it was fucking amazing. It was his composition.
Jason Becker
Marty Friedman
And buckethead are by far the most incredible guitarists to ever play
Exacto. Tambien añadiria a Shawn Lane.
NO
MARTY FRIEDMAN'S SOLO'S ARE JUST ABSOLUTELY MIND~BENDING!!!!
The best of the best!!!!!
marts pick hand technique is crazy....look at the down slant on his pick hand lol
maestros!!!
The scene with the melting faces on Indiana Jones's Ark, was inspired by the guys in the front row.......
Let's just try to imagine what Jason Becker could do now if he could still touch that Carvin.....Just think about it!
What do you mean ? He may have peaked . People don’t always get better with age . Yngwie peaked at 21 and didn’t get any better after that . It’s an assumption to think that time equals more . He may have had more songs written but no way to know if he would have been a better player
@@Rezparviz couldn't agree more. Jason might as well go softer with more slower stuff or exploring something else other than speed. Just look at paul gilbert now. He still can shred undeniably but his direction changes.
Jason plays arpeggios like a cat who ate too much sugar plays with a toy..... just too easy! 😳
absolute crazyness ♥
one of my favourite videos of all time
5:04 Wow
that lick is insane
Savage 💯
just too good. The playing here is like the ultimate version of Bill and Ted's garage band but better!!
Legends
Maestros 🙇🏻♂️
What an era to have been in and at the best time ! ! 👍👍
No DaWs MaWs, no plugins flugins…..if you can, simple….just freakin play !
Imagine being there in the crowd, with some guys in the scenario playing some stuff that you ve never heard and not knowing what will happen with Jason in a close future
Yessssssssss!!!!!!
my ultimate favorite piece My dream is to one day be able to play it properly
I thought someone from the future brought a cellphone
RIP carvin!

HOLY SHEEP SHIT!!!!!!!
Jason was on fire dude holy shit🔥
The gogo's at large
Jason has 19 years old
Dude IS is easier to spell than HAS
how dawg
@@ITTAPUPU12 I believe he meant Jason was 19. No need to be a dick bruh
nas ganas de zapar blues
Jason Baker , filho do malmsteen.. que presença..
If Becker wore his guitar any higher it would choke him
a lot of sweeps
Marty’s guitar body looks like A Carvin V-220, which is what I have but the neck doesn’t look like Carvin, does anybody know about his guitar???
Its a carvin but his is custom so his has a pointy headstock
Wow I just became gay
Wonder what the venue was?
5:39 - 5:41
deu um pau no Malmsteen... kkkkkkkkkkkkk
The crowd just got violated
Jason smoked Marty in every sense musical and technicaly.
This music reminds me of covid19
