Ryan, Javi and Emiliano, the name of the drummer is Kenny Stavropoulos. The full clip shows Cacophony live in Japan being interviewed and playing Desert Island and Black Cat.
Jason is the best, hands down. For those who don't know(posted above), Jason is still composing music via a computer and special program, but he has ALS and can't actually play guitar anymore since he is more or less fully paralyzed. He is making improvements and is in good morale thanks to his "Guru" and overallm optimistic attitude, but most people don't think a full recovery is possible.
Jason and his friend, actor Matt Schulze are planning a movie about his life and he has a greatest hits album coming out with a new song he composed on his computer so this wont be the last we hear of his music.
Unfortunately, Jason has ALS (Lou Gerhig's) disease. He can basically only move his eyes at the moment. He has a special computer that he communicates with, and he can still write music that way as well.
@thefragilesands Jason backer is a great guitarist because he is one of the genius guitarist and his guitar scale in many arpegios emphasize uniqueness. Maybe I do not know, but Jason Backer in evaluating the many legends and the magic secret. Some Europeans called him the hand of God. As a result, he has exceptional skills to the public is still wondering how he got the inspiration to produce his songs.
I showed this vid to one of my friends and told him that in the 90's Steve-O used to be in a band and that Marty is Steve-O. I said that the band broke up because nobody had good taste in music and he couldn't make any money at it. I told him the truth about Jason though.
@cerelilqt I am a player of many years and am a Yngwie fan, saw him in 85 on first solo tour, took lessons with satriani before he left S.F. to fame. So I can play, but my point is its sure nice to have good chops and be able to play all those notes but ultimately what people listen to is the feel of the song which comes from the emotional aspect. Too much technical playing is just recalling scales which is boring and that lacks feeling & soul. Yngwie hit a wall too with that repitition-sucks

@baronsting You'll find most people who say stuff like that are bad guitarists. Jason Becker said that having complete technical mastery over guitar removes the language barrier in expressing yourself with it.
Even tho I don't like the singer and their lyrics are pretty lame and dumb I would give anything to see Cacophony live, just to see Jason Becker and Marty Friedman play live together!
