Today I want to practise what I preach and get out and try something different. As always, I’m heading out to where the tourists don’t go to bring you a real slice of PHUKET daily over in the old town, I’l be eating some really unique Hokkien noodles. This is the ultimate Phuket noodle tour in 2023 and you only have to walk 1 minute to both!
Phuket Town has some of the best, most accessible street food in Thailand, not to mention some of the most delicious. None more so than at the two epic Mee Hokkien noodle shops we are visiting today. Combined, they have over 70 years of Thai/Chinese cooking experience.
Without a doubt, the thing I enjoy about visiting these local areas in Thailand is the connections I make along the way. We met some unbelievably friendly people today from all over and their hospitality and warmth will not be forgotten. There really is no other way to connect with a culture than to get out and try the local food!

I was in Thailand in January 2023 and discovered coffee produced in Thailand. I'm so happy I took some packages home. I've already finished one of them: Master Espresso, Dark Roast. So good! I also bought a package of DoiTung (Espresso Roast) and another of Boncafé (3/5). Looking forward to trying them. It seems none of them is available here, unfortunately.

I would really just hit the one that's been there for 60 years and let the soup noodle one rest on its own growing laurels. Helen sounds like my partner Carol, and would have said the same ("I'm not as food crazy as you are....but"). It's good to bring family into your vlog.....makes it more inviting to some folks who might have doubts about trying Thai food (or any East Asian cuisine for that matter).

we go to phuket every year barr the pandemic lockdown and we have to go to Phuket town to eat gome made noodles. There is one near the Dental Hospital where a ladyboy runs it. The best noodles. Another place is Patong green noodles and the the ducks!!!! So yummy. And one place where they have sea cicada...crunchy yummy. Going back there this August! Great to see a Farang loves true Thai/ chinese noodles . You make my mouth water!!!!! LOL
Nice Hokkien dishes but if you ever come to Singapore, please head to River South (Hoe Nam) Prawn Noodles, that's the best among the rest!

Just watched your Viet Pho episode yesty.
Now THIS is proper soup boys and girls.
Both look delish prolly prefer the 2nd fried one mesen as well.
But no comparison to the Viet Pho soup which looked like grisel with water and flavourings.
