I can totally relate to what you are saying about eating out in the REAL Thai places. Good luck getting 99% of expats to listen or for that fact, many tourists whose diet in Thailand is beer, Pad Thai, Fried Rice, and Banana pancakes. Not sure whether you already knew how different between Tomyum noodle and Sukhothai noodle yet. As far as I know, Sukhothai noodle put palm sugar, Tomyum noodle put white sugar. Sukhothai Noodle put green bean and pickle radis, Tomyou noodle don't put green bean and will use dry cabbage leaves. Last but not least, Sukhothai noodle will use pork (mostly red BBQ pork and mint pork), but Tomyum will add fish ball inaddition to pork and normally don't use red pork. Please don't forget to said "waan nooi" next time you eat Tomyum or Sukhothai noodle, cause you probably knew they will be quite sweet. ^^
These places you are showing look great and I agree with you the food would be next level but for tourists I can't see them visiting only if they have a Thai person with them, but on my next visit to Bangkok I will get my wife to take me. Your videos are great im glad Paddy Doyle recommended you there's so many travel videos on Thailand but food and learning about new foods there is not so I'm glad I've found you.

Rad Na is noodle dish with gluey broth. It usually come with fried egg noodle, marinated pork and chinese kale but if you can find specialize shop I recommend you to tried Zen Yai (large size rice noodle) they stir fried it with very high heat so you can smell something that Thai ppl said Wok smell. that wok smell you can find it with many menus like Pad Se-eiw, Kua Gai or Khaw pad (stir fried rice) so if you want to try these menus at their best please find the specialize shop.
The food looks amazing. Can you get a lot of Thai dishes with no or just a little bit of spicyness? Spicy food in the mouth is fine but my stomach converts it to molten lava and I’ll end up in agony later on if you know what I mean.

Love food,love Bangkok,great combo 😎👍
Would certainly like to book a tour next time in Bangkok 👌
Cheers Dave, much appreciated. Let me know when you’re coming, I’d love to take you out!
Gary, love your videos, keep chugging along bro!
Thank you mate, much appreciated. I’m glad you’re enjoying them 🙌
These places you are showing look great and I agree with you the food would be next level but for tourists I can't see them visiting only if they have a Thai person with them, but on my next visit to Bangkok I will get my wife to take me. Your videos are great im glad Paddy Doyle recommended you there's so many travel videos on Thailand but food and learning about new foods there is not so I'm glad I've found you.
Yeah going to some of these places if you don’t speak Thai can be a bit daunting but I promise you, the ones in this video are all very tourist friendly (english menus/they speak enough English to order) you’ll obviously be fine with your wife but I hope I can persuade other people to get out of their comfort zones. I’m glad Paddy sent you over and I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos 🙏
พูดไทยเก่งมากนะครับ 😊👍
กินเผ็ดเก่งกว่าผมอีก

love the price and quality of the coconut ice cream vendors around 10 baht...L.A Rob
Yeah those vendors are the best! My 2 year old is hooked…I’ve got to distract him every time one goes by haha
@@theroamingcook love your content , i have been coming to Bangkok and local Beach cities for over 16 years and have missed it so much in the past couple of years even though here in Los Angeles we have the largest Thai expat community.. i will be back in Thailand in February hope to see you about...
Great video bro! Me and the misses are headed to Thailand for 3 months in August (I know it's far away but we're are headed to a few other places before) but my question is the QR code payments, what app is that?
Thanks mate. It's a Thai banking app so only works if you have a Thai bank account unfortunately 🙏
@@theroamingcook ahh okay, also can you do a video of key words to say I'm Thai when ordering food, would be amazing to be able to attempt to speak the language :) great bids btw, subbed
Yeah sen yai is usually my noodle of choice for rad na, with pork as well. You obviously have great taste Leonardo!
I miss pad see you! That taste so good!
It’s so good right?
Gart, just a new viewer, bloody lovely food, will definitely give you a call for a food tour when in bangkok
Cheers Paul, much appreciated. Glad you’re enjoying the videos and I’d love to take you out when you get here 👍
The food looks amazing. Can you get a lot of Thai dishes with no or just a little bit of spicyness? Spicy food in the mouth is fine but my stomach converts it to molten lava and I’ll end up in agony later on if you know what I mean.
Haha yes mate, I’m the same believe it or not. Nothing I ate here is spicy unless you add chilli yourself
All looks tasty. Is that ice cream shop on the edge of a little square, just up the road from the giant swing?
That’s the one JB. We might have to wander up tomorrow!
Sounds good mate!
Great vlog, you’ve got yourself a subscriber, love going off the tourist track when abroad, so this fits perfectly.
Also in a few years I will retire to Thailand and leave London behind me, and Thai street food is my favourite holiday (and soon to be expat) thing!
Cheers mate 👍
Cheers Tony mate, much appreciated! You can't go wrong with a bit of street food, it's the best isn't it?
I think you're definitely doing the right thing. Do what makes you happy and don't look back!
