Actually Mike on mk5 golfs the door skins are held with screws and you can remove them, no spot welds, but A LOT of bolts, Germans do weird stuff sometimes but it comes in handy when it gets dented, don't have to toss the door away hehe
love seeing the junkyard vids, always interesting how these cars end up there. its also astonishing how these cars get so rusty like bro just wash the car 🤣
Living in Illinois, its inevitable. Salt gets trapped in places you can't get into. Yes washing the car will prevent major rot like this, but if you drive your car in the winter here with the salt, it will rust.
@@krle7970 Both my cars are from 02, and both still have gleaming paint even on top. The Impala has no rust, the Tahoe is just starting, but it sees a lot more winter duty, leather hasn't dried out yet. No place is perfect I guess.
Lmao I'm your doppelganger who's always doing accord stuffs. Scouring junkyards for rare interior parts and other odds and ends I've hoarded, aswell as stopping to admire all the rare gems I see there🙏 😤
You can make those Acura RL brakes fit on the Integra. They are considered a budget big brake kit. Might be worth taking them to resell at the very least.
I’m loving the junkyard videos. That crown Vic was so bad I didn’t realize it was a Vic til you got to the back. I thought it was a square body from the front.
On that GTI, the MK5 Golf/GTI/Jetta/GLI Models (and I’m sure others too), you could take the door skins off by unbolting them and replacing them. Made for easy access to the insides of the door
Loving the junkyard videos! I hope that you can find more treasures for all of your projects so you can continue posting these kinds of videos. Also, huge respect to you for not trashing other cars even though they're in a junkyard. I also don't see a reason for anyone to further destroy something that's already far gone, or destroying parts that someone may not find useful, but could be useful for someone else.
Hell yeah man love the junkyard videos! I can spend all day looking at all the vehicles & pulling some cool parts. It’s so satisfying hearing tools going or wondering the stories of cars & how they ended up there.
These door panels are one of the last items I need to finish my project on my EF hatch 91 the only other thing I need is the metal arms that lock unlock open and close the door if you grab those two I can give you extra money thank you I love watching your channel it's amazing what you do with the car I've never seen anybody else do it I'm 46 and I've never seen anybody build cars like you you're an inspiration to me I have a 95 zankye Sr a G35 rev up and the EF hatch 91
You newer know what ester eggs are there at the junk yards, nor their state and condition if you never go and see it your self, good luck moving on with the 240 Mike, nice metal plate you put there at the intro
the infiniti g20 is basically a nissan primera here in scotland, i used to root about in the scrappies looking at all the old cars an gettin parts i needed, its too safe nowadays, was fun when they were stacked on top of each other and u had to climb up to the one u needed lol
Hey man, just saw the start of the video and you don’t have to apologise for anything in my opinion, people can watch what they want in the end and if they don’t like it its their problem. You are not obligated to do any kind of specific content in my opinion, just do what’s fun for you.
Black interiors on the GS300 you saw are very sought after. I know multiple people looking for the swap. If you have the time/desire that’s a good save for any GS owner
I always wanted to do this and I finally did I went to a pull-A-part near me and I mainly wanted to look at all the cars but I ended up leaving with a G35 steering wheel but only for decoration purposes:)
if you're going to be drifting the z32 it might be simpler to leave it as double wishbone, driftworks converted an r32 to use s13 front suspension but they didn't really gain much angle, it was mostly to reduce the ackerman and to save weight
There's no spot welds on a VW door, you remove 18 Torx screws around the edge of the door and you can remove the door skin. Not only is it easier to replace a door skin than it is to replace a whole door, it's much cheaper for VW to produce just the door skin than it is to produce a full door. It also comes in super handy if a window regulator fails, you can remove the outer skin and get access to the full innards of the door without having to strip your interior.
7:10 first found that out when I crashed my q45 and had to get fenders from the junkyard lol. I think they stamp all removable body parts with it (fender, rad support, bumpers)
Welcome back to the states. I feel after your done with the 240 it would be sweet to see you build a d21 slammed and what not. Parts getter and daily would be sick
That generation of the Volkswagen gti/golf are actually just bolt on door skins. That’s how you get to the window motor and locking mechanism etc. also easy to replace
Mike I love your videos, sometimes I'm a little late but I love watching every second. You still have really good luck with the junkyard runs. A lot more than me
For the door skin on that mk5 golf, i seen a jetta same year at the yard with the door skin off and we thought someone really needed that door skin we thought they cut it perfectly but the whole skin was in the back seat nd it looked like it just unbolts theres a rubber grommet that covers those holes i was kinda mind blown that they come off
Love goin to the yard. I’ve got a mustang specific yard like a mile from my house…. That was definitely a factor in buying it. But yea that was a mint fender
Great video love these junkyard vids... the ef hatch rear quarter glass is screwed in not glued like the integra that's why it look like that I wish the integra's was like that.
That rl is pretty cool. They came with c series v6's and that is a 6 disk cd changer. Thoes cars super sleek and the the stance of the car and placement of engine is to mimic a rwd car
In the Acura RL the electronic in the back is known as a cd changer, back in the day instead of manually changing cds while driving you could have a 5-20 disc cd changer loaded with your favorite cds and from the player in the dashboard, change cds/choose music lol
Motor and trans gone noooo. Was how I felt after making that 3+ hour drive. I got a couple internal plastics when I got there. She’s sadly ready to be crushed. Also missing rear passenger coil over should be in car it wasn’t bolted in and I tossed it in car.
That leather seat and steering wheel airbag looked pretty fucking good s14 owners love that shit, also if u go back plz pick me up that s14 gas tank filler tube
The junkyard videos be slapping

I ran outta content I went back watch the 240 build man I love it
These junkyard videos rly do be hitting different 🫡🫡
s14 knuckles are a really good find. And schassis front swap on the z32 is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Actually Mike on mk5 golfs the door skins are held with screws and you can remove them, no spot welds, but A LOT of bolts, Germans do weird stuff sometimes but it comes in handy when it gets dented, don't have to toss the door away hehe
I absolutely love working on VAG cars. Service positions on the front end is bad ass.
Love how respectful u r for the next person coming for a part like taking things of seats and stuff
love seeing the junkyard vids, always interesting how these cars end up there. its also astonishing how these cars get so rusty like bro just wash the car 🤣
For real tho! That S14 was so rotted!
Living in Illinois, its inevitable. Salt gets trapped in places you can't get into. Yes washing the car will prevent major rot like this, but if you drive your car in the winter here with the salt, it will rust.
@@98-SR5where I live you have to worry about the sun eating your paint and when entering into your car in summer it becomes a oven.
@@krle7970 Both my cars are from 02, and both still have gleaming paint even on top. The Impala has no rust, the Tahoe is just starting, but it sees a lot more winter duty, leather hasn't dried out yet. No place is perfect I guess.
He doesnt talk aboit "how".. unless he gives a reason why they are there that i missed. English 101.
I’m so lucky to not have to fight rust over here in California. Thanks for staying positive through all adversity! 😮

Would love to see a video of you cleaning up the interior of the "work truck" redoing all the upholstery trim would be cool 😁

As someone who doesn’t have a junkyard to go to, I really love these types of videos, they are super interesting to me

So true! Always an adventure when visiting these yards!
Seeing the passion you have for JDM makes me want to go out and find a JDM project
That 240 axle holding up the bonnet KILLED me

Love these Junkyard vids!! Coming from South Africa, the awesomeness of Junkyards in the US is epic.
I'll never get tired of your creative cuts
sorry for your loss on the old 240 or whatever car it was it looked like a masterpiece hopefully this one doesn't match a fate as bad.
I love junkyard videos remind me of my junkyard trips i take when shopping for parts for my 96 Ford Probe
love the transitions and in general the effort put in your content. keep it up 💪

Loving the junk yard vids bro. Got your vids playing in the garage with the boys working on cars. Heaps of love for your videos from Australia
I always wanted to do this and I finally did I went to a pull-A-part near me and I mainly wanted to look at all the cars but I ended up leaving with a G35 steering wheel but only for decoration purposes:)
When I got to that 240 there was not much left & I went after 3-4 days that it had been there. There sure was a lot of civics there 😬
Always look forward to your videos. It’s going to be a good day. Keep up the good work.
I love that you're videos always end with a preview of what's to come next!!!
these transitions are getting better and better you gotta chill esp with the one at 10:26 🤣 top content man i always look forward to your videos
I definitely want to see the 240 completed but at the same time i love seeing anything else you upload so its honestly a win win regardless

Loving the junkyard videos even if they make me sad... You've been giving me inspiration to fix my S13. Both quarters are toast...

Do more vids on your 300zx please
I had a 95 G20. I loved it! B chassis are decent fwd. I had a top mount turbo. That thing was a beast...
Also heads up fwd sr can be used in a rwd. But a rwd doesn't work in the fwd. Dizzy is in a different spot. That's the only main difference
Those junkyard videos are pretty interesting ngl
Man thank you for being apart of my happy place .
I wish there was a junkyard like this in my country. I can hardly find parts for my Celica
Can’t wait to see the 300ZX project start! Glad you were able to get a lot of those parts. Junkyard videos are always rad 💛
Your transition skills are absolutely amazing! I love these videos
I just bought the cleanest 200k mile 04 EP3. might have to start visiting the yards here to try and stock up on replacement parts
Dude tbh you have some quality content like no matter what you post it's A1. Keep it up man!
Love the junkyard vids
I'm from a dryer part of Australia and its crazy to me the amount of rust you guys have

I wish I had a 240SX s13 my whole life Hondas Nissans and Toyota and Mazda have been my favorite
prizza videos always a good time:D
Come down to peoria this spring for cars & coffee. Always a good turn out & rad people.
I get so excited every time I see you’re in the yard again
That thing with the doors on mk5 and mk6 golfs is for working on Parts inside the doors and is held by bolts 😅😂
Those SR20’s in the G20’s are good for doing a plus T conversion
For the door skin on that mk5 golf, i seen a jetta same year at the yard with the door skin off and we thought someone really needed that door skin we thought they cut it perfectly but the whole skin was in the back seat nd it looked like it just unbolts theres a rubber grommet that covers those holes i was kinda mind blown that they come off
found your channel a few days ago and i love it!
Love goin to the yard. I’ve got a mustang specific yard like a mile from my house…. That was definitely a factor in buying it. But yea that was a mint fender
the s14's plastic fuel tanks are a hot commodity, would be worth getting, so many people need them.
S14 sunroof seals are big money if it’s in good condition!
Great video love these junkyard vids... the ef hatch rear quarter glass is screwed in not glued like the integra that's why it look like that I wish the integra's was like that.
Thats a 2004-2012 armada center console with DVD @4:56 I've been looking for. You can sell on ebay up to $400. Looks decent condition.
That rl is pretty cool. They came with c series v6's and that is a 6 disk cd changer. Thoes cars super sleek and the the stance of the car and placement of engine is to mimic a rwd car
I just love those junkyard videos man
Dorskins are like that on VW ( bolt on ) so you take it off to do repair or just to switch it with other skin, at least on mark 5
Also being in IL….we have a junkyard here that’s also like the one with all the mud….I can even find parts for my DSM there!
