- Ever since I showed my Integra being used as a work truck, people told me I needed to find a real truck, so we got inspect one! A quick visit to the JDM Import shop has me wanting to buy a JDM R32 Skyline even more now!
I had suspicions my Integra manual trans had issues and required a rebuild, so we dive into the transmission to inspect it.
I haven't stopped by a particular junkyard in a while, so I pay a visit to see what is in stock. Its always sad seeing project cars junked, especially Integras and rust free Porsche's. Another successful junkyard adventure

get a r32 as a fresh build for the channel mike, just remember as the first mod get an aftermarket oil pump, most real jdm fans know that the first cause of engine failure in any rb engine is caused by oil pump failure, love the vids anyways and keep up the good work #restorethat180!

@@s15melb not trying to argue with you man just letting ya know. most people think I try to annoy them or try to argue with them I dont and wont try. had a friend with a 95 GTS25 2 door and the oil pump failed on his rb25de. had near 100,000km on the dash.
@@s15melb now I will say possibly due to how high the kilometers were on that engine is the reason why it failed. now I will say it couldve been from anything else but that. my point man he somehow blew up a rb25de.

Road salt is the reason why I'll never live up north, you'd think by now they'd come up with a way that melts the ice and doesn't rust out your car
It's fan to see you discover older cars that once were common, like the '87 Camry. Somone probably sold it to the yard, maybe owner quit driving? My Ma had one, same color, but had rust on bottom, sold it in '94,
I’ve seen a lot of r32s and r32 sedans. Never once have I seen it with the parking pole, that looks awesome on it

Yoo, at 20:32 I think thats a laser red Saab 9-3 convertible from 2003 - 2006 I think those are pretty rare in this color. Very fun cars, my father has this model in black and I got the first generation 9-3 :)

Im glad you didnt get the car The stuff going up for sale here in colorado is insane I mean if you dont have a title and it doesnt run then its just parts and should not be sold as a working car. I used PB blaster surface shield this year to protect my nissan frames and seems to work great and doesnt stink. Good video to eat breakfast

Mike I like when you go to junkyards and try to find parts. I have been doing the same in my local pick and pulls, just to see what cars come in. Owner of 97 honda accord 305k on the dial.
On those CB7/9 accords if they have the OEM Shifter and boot take those, the arm rest, and the glass headlights.
All of those are really hard to come buy now.

If that Integra is cheap enough it would be worth it just for the part out. Low mileage motor, clean interior and all the miscellaneous. You're probably out of room though 🤣

The R32 sedan is awesome ✌️ but the guy offering it for sale is incorrect about the window and door seals and trims being available new. The sedan parts are discontinued unfortunately, I haven't been able to find these for sale anywhere. Coupe parts are still available however.
16:23 i think that's a GA16DE commonly found in Nissan Sentra B13 and B14. DOHC makes decent power if tuned. Atleast here in my country haha. But still cool find

Damn that DB7 would’ve been perfect it reminds me of my first integra except mine was a DC4 5 speed same color as the one in the video but I had barely had rust. 138k on the shell and just about 85k on the motor B18B1

Im gonna take a wack at rebuilding my h2u5 trans let’s hope it’s smooth again. I just manual swapped it and now I figured the trans is going out 😞 so back out she comes…. I just finished 😭 ps… that accord cb7 in that junkyard is the car I’m building same color and everything lol

In Illinois it's actually pretty easy to get a title IF the car was in his name. Otherwise, I've gotta title service I use.

Hey Mike! Just thought I’d let you know that in the UK integral type r is being sold for fortunes!! You can’t get one for less than £10,000!!! Same for the Nissan 200sx and other cars of that era! You probably could make a lot of money if you imported them to the UK
Mike as a cl9 tsx owner you should definitely get yourself a tsx one day for sure...great fun platforms that are easily capable of really good power and handling 👍, great for a fun weekend track car as well...

how do you like it as a daily? i own an rd1 crv and i want a more comfy daily at some point, problem is i haul a lot of shit quite often
@bagfumbler it's fantastic as a daily driver 👌, it has a pretty good size trunk for anything you need to haul around... gets decent gas mileage and is Dead reliable.

Porsche 944s will never rust. They treated the metal to prevent rusting from the factory. Porsche 928s got the sane trestment.
R32 goes so hard. But if you really want a work truck go for one of those kei trucks I heard rocket bunny makes a body kit for the Suzuki carry

Well, if you did buy that R32 it would be the cleanest car you own. It also might not be as much of a cop magnet as your other cars, as long as it's stock.

Highly recommend you change the input shaft bearing too while it’s apart ! Do not leave it if the counter shaft bearing was that bad the input is not far behind in my opinion like he said I figured it would be the one that’s bad or diff bearings I’m a little surprised to see that one be the one that’s bad but deff don’t just change the one. I’d just get them all while you’re at it and have a new mint trans with no noises. You can get full bearing kits from synchro tech butttt a homie at Honda is always good too 😊
Really hard to believe that car only had 53k miles on it. That phone thing was a dealer installed option, really expensive back then. I wonder if it could still work today?

I like the R32.I think that I would probably buy it if I could afford it. I always regretted passing on a Silvia when I had an opportunity to buy one.I don't think that your likely to see many cars like that for sale these.days.
