I just had my first ime after 1 year dealing with broken calcaneus. Now after a year of treatment the docs want to do a fusion. The ime doctor agreed, and the examination was fast . He was real nice , and agreed I need a fusion . They already had all my records once I arrived, all I had to provide was films . Now just waiting for the next step .
I got certified for my 2 rotators cuffs and torn meniscus and C6-c7 fusion. But I’m not ready to do those surgeries do to my high blood pressure and I have a thyroid. Can I settle for the cost of those surgeries for the future? I’ve already had L4-L5 fusion and hardware in my left elbow. I also have a tear in my left hip and they gave me a Cortisone injection but Dr. Said I might need future surgery. My attorney is horrible all she says is keep going to your appointment but doesn’t answer my questions. MMI put me at 90% And I just had MRI to my head= Gliosis to my left side of my head. I loss my sense of smell and taste. I fell from a 2 story ladder 🪜 at work. Any ball park settlement I can be expecting. It’s been 4 1/2 years and I can’t afford to take anymore time off. I feel your pain. If I had to give one tip to the black car drivers out there, keep proof of your earnings. The WCB often uses your schedule C from your tax return to calculate your average weekly wage. Keep good records!
Are you saying the IME or your own doctor?Maybe he did and you didn’t realize it. Maybe he just did it visually (as opposed to using a goniometer). If you’re talking about the IME, tell your lawyer and make notes. It is helpful if and when the doctor is going to be deposed.

Talk to your doctor about your limitations and work restrictions. They are your best guide to return to work quickly and safely.
