  • Personal injury clients are often asked to undergo an Independent Medical Examination (IME). IMEs are an independent evaluation of your medical condition conducted by a medical professional.
While IMEs are intended to be independent and without bias, it is essential to understand whether the examiner is evaluating you on your lawyer’s behalf or on an insurance company’s behalf. Remember - your lawyer represents your interests, while an insurance company represents their own interests.
Questions posed to you may be phrased differently depending on whether the medical examiner was retained by your own lawyer or the insurance company. The IME will be used in your lawsuit, so it’s important to give detailed information.
Watch this video to learn how to prepare for an IME conducted for the insurance company and ensure you fully communicate your unique, subjective situation to the medical examiner.

There is considerable bias in this carefully crafted video. If anyone has to "prepare" for a medical examination, they should question their legal representative. It is widely understood that the end goal is to obtain secondary gain. What is not obvious at the outset is that the personal injury lawyer takes 30-40% of the claim rewarded and is responsible for disbursements to healthcare professionals he uses to bolster your claim, typically leaving you (the person he is supposedly working for) with a pittance in the end.

if after the interview the doctor tells to the insurance I am fit to
work, does it mean I have to go back to work?my illness is invisible but
when I get sick (and it doesn't take too much to get sick)it is very
visible, I start throwing up and my employer says I look very pale and I
am looking as I am going to pass out. If I go back to work my employer
will need to send me home by taxi over and over again as it did happened
in the past. Can the insurance deny the benefit when my employer know
that I am sick (the employer paid the premium to the insurance
protection plan). I have a very rare mutation in a muscle gene,
unfortunately there is very little information at the moment about this.

Even if you tell them all this ,they dont care they lie and say nothing is wrong with you. In 10 minutes. When you been in physical therapy and still are and see ortho dr and pain management ,but a 10 minute exam ,your not hurt or sick. ? Or hurt? Make sure you take someone to video tape the whole thing and get a copy of the drs report and compare. THEN YOU SEE ALL THEIR LIES
