  • Ten pound porterhouse cooked over an insanely hot BBQ pit fire, then cooked slow and low for that perfect steak you can only get from a true Pit Master.

If you want a challenge, try assembling one of these grills ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I am a technician by trade and the technical instructions were easy to follow. No reading, just pictures and diagrams. You assemble everything in 5 steps from the bottom up. Step #1 - Assemble 4 Legs and Wheels; Step #2 - Add the Front Cover and Cross Bars to support the frame; Step #3- Assemble the Burner to the Lower Grill Housing and install the knobs; Step #4 - Install the Side Burner and side shelf; and Finally Step #5 - Install the Upper Char- Broil Lid, Cooking Racks, 3 Burner Railings and Lid Handle. That's It and you're done in about 2 hours and 40 minutes. You have the option to pay for assembly after making the purchase - I would strongly suggest that you take it if you don't want to be bothered with this challenge. The only tool I used was a Phillips head screwdriver and a standard pair of pliers. The grill cost a little more because of the side burner, but this is what makes the grill so versatile and popular among backyard grillers. Have fun and enjoy!

Amazing! Looks like perfection to me! You know, Chef, in the early 70's - for Christmas dinner - my mom had a big standing rib roast and she wet packed it in rock salt and cooked it in the oven. When it was done when she cracked it open the juices poured out of it. It was amazing! When you prepped your meat I was reminded of that time. I have to say, I love watching your shows I always learn something new. And, although I leave the BBQing to the men, you have taught me much about the process in relation to cooking and preparing the meat and all your side dishes as well. Your pocast just recently came up on my feed and I've been tuning in and going through your library of shows. It's been timely and very cathartic for me, having lost my mom this past September. And, I have shared your videos with the men in my family. You have unique cooking skills - thanks for all you do!

Your cooking method brings out those carbon bits with tenderness and flavor that is perfection. Now I need to remortgage my house to get a US PRIME porterhouse like yours. It will be worth it. Totally impressive I haven’t had meat in over 20 years I was salivating, well done by far the best grilling I’ve seen on RUclips

Great video/cook as usual! Would love to try this myself but the cost of that piece of beef up here in my area would require a second mortgage!😉 I love that cooker you used, looks very well built & versatile. Take care my friend!

Thank you that's the true goal to keep the fire going so people learn and we don't loose this way of using fire to cook a meal.
