    Why would you coat the roast with s&p and then put it in a marinade? Might as well just add s&p to the marinade.

    • @bbqsouthernstyle
      @bbqsouthernstyle  8 месяцев назад +1

      Simple. When you salt and pepper the meat you can see how much you put onto the meat. When you just put a random amount in the marinade you may be over or under on the salt and pepper. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

I have a large beef knuckle that I will cut in half using one half to make "prime rib" sandwiches like this and let the other cook long to make pulled beef. My eyes tell me this first way cut thin is going to be a better fit for this cut. l appreciate you showing how you make it a meal as well. Great content/presentation.

      Like cooking on a huge bowling ball lol you're going to love that grill just don't park it on a hill she well get away from you and pick up speed fast. Also the temperature gage will spin all the way round if you overheat the grill. I hit 15oo deg and did not know it. When I opened up the grill flames shot out with lots of force. The good Lord was on my side that day so be careful not to do that. Hope this helps and thank you for watching.

I also like to self clean at 800 deg and oil her back up from time to time when she cools down.
