Humvee X Doors Hard Doors Glass Install

Got all the glass in from federal military parts. Got them all installed on the doors. They look fantastic. I got the tinted version.
On the the body!

Very nice. Must feel good to see it come together. I will tell you I regret the tinted windows on mine. Really hard at dusk and night to see out as they reflect too much in the side view mirrors. Looks great. Hard to drive.

Laminated glass? It looks like it from one of the shots. Bet that added 20 pounds to each door. Small arms resistant? Is that a 15% tint on those windows? Some states are a pain in the a$$ when it comes to tint. I was stopped in Ohio ( my home state ) by a local who told me my tint on the rear side windows on my Voyager were too dark. He did not have a tint meter so he could not arbitrarily issue me a cite. I told the officer that it was that way from the factory and that if he had any issue he should take it up with Chrysler. Having worked in LE I did have a friend whose dept. had a tint meter. Within state law when we checked it. Over here across the pond, ID10Ts tint everything including their windshields with tint so dark they are lucky to see anything out at night. Unsafe.

Yeah probably added 10lbs to each door. They claim tint is legal in all states, it’s really not that dark at all. I’m gonna run AC not sure yet how that gonna go together
