In this video we are going to be installing a set of M14x1.5 Black Spike Lug Nuts we purchased off Amazon on our 2018 Ram 2500. These lug nuts are on the lower end when it comes to cost and seemed to be decent quality. They are made by Coyote Accessories and have a black oxide coating with black paint over the top of the coating to combat any rust from paint chipping or damage. It is recommended that you install these by hand and torque with a torque wrench to specified torque of vehicle so you don’t damage the finish with an impact gun. Oh they give it a different look that’s for sure
I have that same truck and I been wanting spiked lugnuts since I've owed it. I'm definitely going to look at these or the Venom ones. Keep these truck videos coming 👍😁
Nice 👍👍👍👍👍
Are you having any issues when you go get tires rotated by shops using impacts ? Looks great man
I would not recommend using an impact on these. Breaker bar and a torque wrench should be all you need.
Great Look! How much lbs. of torque where you using?
Factory specs believe its 120-140ft lb. Normally use 120 ft lb.
Fid your wheels have the full size center cap, and then you switched to this center cap to run spiked lugs?? If so please link me to the center caps!! Or atleast point me in the right direction
Where did you get the wheel caps?
These were designed and manufactured by us.
How did you coat with ceramic? What did you use?
I used a ceramic coat product from Chemical guys, you could use a product from any other manufacturer that will last longer. I was ok with re-doing the work in 6 months to a year but other products on the market last much longer.
What kind of wrench did you use to attach it with
They come with a special longer socket
@@MKSPerformanceOffroad is that the key for them then?
@@moneyonmind2412 yes
@@MKSPerformanceOffroad what size wrench
How they hold up?
So far so good, no rust on them yet
Been back and forth on Amazon type or venum spikes for different colors.
@@bartman8876 I like the Amazon ones because of the cost but the Venom spikes are going to be higher quality IMO.
The blemishes don’t matter. A car next to you couldn’t tell. And if they did so what. I use an impact. Not going to take on and off enough to matter or scratch them.
